I am a European, retired from teaching in public schools and living in Spain. All my adult life I considered myself to be against racism and anti-semitism. Recently, I learned that because I condemn Israel´s policy toward the Palestinian Arabs, I am a new-antisemite. This is fine by me and the name-calling is a badge of honor and two can play at that game. The similarities between the Israeli Zionists and the Third Reich Nazis are unmistakable as they consider themselves to be Übermensch and the Palestinian Arabs as "human animals" and Untermensch. Now we see a genocide again only this time it is the population of the occupied territories who are the victims while the perpetrators are Zionist Israelis.

@hanna319 I refer you to the South Africa presentation before the International Court of Justice in Den Haag.

@MalikAlJazwi After a career teaching history, including the Shoah, I am now a new-antisemite.
155
@eliseomalatesta It is difficult to watch the genocide in Gaza, all the time, every day.

@jazm3n It is with regret that sociopathic racism can be given permission to be accepted as normal by any group of humans once we allow its proponents to take charge. We must all guard against racism and prejudice because it can happen anywhere at anytime to anyone.

@Gphilly819 Please avoid giving a false impression. I doubt that the Israelis allow Muslim immigration to Israel. The 20% you are talking about were born in Israel. It is their homeland and most people like to live in their homeland. Normally Palestinian Arab Israeli citizens do not serve in the IDF and they are restricted to certain neighborhoods. No building permission is allowed to Arab Israeli citizens while Jews can build just about anywhere. Jews are allowed to live in illegal settlements in the West Bank. Not so Arab Israeli citizens. They are 2nd class citizens.

@ericmac8110 I believe you are correct. Responses disappear.

@everythingsfine1395 You gave a good response.

@Mo-yt3hl I received my teaching license in the United States (Arizona). Thank-you for asking. You are mistaken, however, as I indeed taught world history at high school. I never neglected to teach about the nationalist racism which led to the Shoah in the Third Reich. I have already noted the racist nationalism which is at the root of Zionism, one of many similarities between the Nazis and the Israelis, including genocide. Sorry.

@iamgos2778 I am not the only one who has become a new-antisemite in old age after a lifetime of resisting all forms of racism and nationalism in the classroom.

@IliasKiraly You are correct. The genocide of Armenians is ignored in American and European schools whereas, probably due to 6,000,000 Jews being murdered by the Austrians and Germans, the Shoah gets lots of publicity in our curricula. Guilt for killing so many European Jews dictates the foreign policy of Austria and Germany and consequently the European Union. We want to assure the Israeli Zionists that we love Jews. Some of us who had nothing to do with the Final Solution of the Jewish Question believe this to be a shameful turn of events.

@Grigorii-xb9oq You may well ask what happened on 7th October 2023. We need an independent inquiry.
3
@GiovanniCompagnone-j1d I had a lazy lump for a student who failed my social studies class back in 1991 with the name, UX. That wasn´t you by any chance?
3
@FreedomLovingCanadianEH I agree with you; the truth does matter.
3
@nir3729 Rewrite your response and fix your spelling: teacher takes an a, whomever is one word and the last one is racist.
3
@nir3729 Make that Maybe. Rewrite your response to fix your grammar and spelling. Sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period. The word meaningful has only one l. Grade: F

@greatarabia8091 I live where Islam had been for 800 years in El Andalus and my home is near Granada where the Alhambra was built for the emir and his court of the Nasrid kingdom. We have lots of Muslim architecture and history in Andalucía.

@beatriz9376 Israel was born in blood, maintains itself by blood, and promises only blood in the future. The Zionist state is on borrowed time.
2
@Battleneter I'm as real as you, Battle.

@AbuSous2000PR More people should know about the Haavara Agreement of 1933 (הֶסְכֵּם הַעֲבָרָה) and how transfering German Jews to Palestine was the First Solution of the Nazis for the Jewish Question.

@Arabiangigachad I have been called a new-antisemite since the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) adopted its definition of antisemitism in May 2016 at Budapest. It included many examples of antisemitism which had not been considered antisemitic previously such as "the targeting of the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity" and while the IHRA claims this does not mean Israel cannot be targeted if the criticism is similar to criticism of other countries but what else can it mean? Other examples are: "Making ... stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective". This could mean claiming that the Israel lobby in America is very powerful. Or "claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor". Isn't it? The list goes on and on. After this broad new definition was adopted by the IHRA, the Labour Party in Britain under the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer also adopted it as a requirement for all party members. I was informed of my new status as a new-antisemite then.
2
@sheena9904 Indeed. Most Israelis who left the former Soviet Union are not even Semites but clearly Caucasians, originating from the Caucasus.
2
BradleyUK58 I'm a native English speaker and I have been speaking English for 70+ years as well as being an English teacher but if a Russian-speaking Ukrainian immigrated to Israel and learns modern Hebrew and then English and tells me that what I thought antisemite meant is false and must include criticism of Zionism and the Israelis, then I must defer to them? Well, blow me down!
2
@RuqiaElshennawy Ashkenazi Jews are principally eastern European according to ethnic roots with migration to central Europe and then to Palestine as a gift from the English.

@user-gu7mr5ez4e We share a love of the truth.
1
@Sarah.T5Med The world knows the truth. The genocide of the Palestinian people cannot be hidden in this age of YouTube and the internet.
1
@danielross7983 Oh! I heard of self-hating Jews who criticize Israel.
1
@netanelkafka175 You are mistaken. We heard the comments from the President and Prime Minister of Israel. We know they were referring to killing all Palestinians, including babies in incubators. Typical ministers of the government made similar racist statements and then we have seen the actions of the obedient air force and army for over 100 days. You cannot run and hide from the truth with Zionist semantics.
1
@toni-xz6dd I call you a Friend.
1
@whatever-e5z5v Few would believe you that Arab Israelis enjoy equal nationality rights as Jews and normally join the 𐌔𐌔-IDF since they are considered to be dogs, especially by Zionist Settler officers.
1
@dadodado9023 It is odd how the U.S. refuses to call for a ceasefire and supplies all the bombs to Israel at no cost while a genocide is being carried out. What has America become?
1
@rai1smaw603 It is good to hear from a Zionist that wanting the war on Gaza to stop and a better solution for peace be used does not define me as a new-antisemite. You say that Israel is "the only safe place for Jews to live" but from what I see on my TV, I am sure that Spain is a much safer place for Jews as is all of the European Union. Whether wanting a Jewish state is a good idea is debatable. The original decision to establish that state in the land of the Palestinian Arabs and then to displace the indigenous people by force followed by a military occupation and a cruel blockade of Gaza spelled more blood and a denial of the Palestinians their rights to life, liberty, and self-determination. It looks like the Jews who immigrated from 1948 principally from eastern Europe want to destroy all Palestinian Arabs or at the very least keep them without equal rights in their own land. This cannot be right.
1
@williamdavis9562 What the Israelis have done in Gaza over the past few months will be in the history books to remind Zionists' grandchildren of the eternal shame borne by Jewish people who did the deeds and let it happen.

@AdhamFouad-y6d more of the same

@PilyGarcia4338 Los gobiernos de la Unión Europea han creado una tremenda vergüenza para nuestra juventud europea que cree en el derecho a la vida de los bebés y niños palestinos.

@PIOVRAME What point of mine are you referring to, I wonder.
1
@SerhanSaglam-s8l I'm surprised my opening post lasted a few days.
1
@ItsTokka I simply told the truth as I see it and hope it helps.
1
@ZeronimeYT Most Jews in Israel are not Semites as they come from Eastern Europe, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and the Caucasus with no DNA originating from the Lavant. They do not like to be told this. Noam Chomsky's family came from Ukraine and he says DNA doesn't matter because the main thing is that he is a Jew. But DNA blows a hole in the notion that all the post-Soviet Jews have a material connection with Palestine.
1
@megaham1552 To begin with, I do not believe it is necessary for Jews to have their own country in order to be safe. After the defeat of Austria and Germany, Jews are welcome in those countries now and other Europeans actually fought the Nazis and Jews belonged to those countries. After WWII it was safe for Jews to live anywhere. Spain became a Catholic country in 1492 and Muslims and Jews were kicked out but that was a long time ago. Today both Jews and Muslims can live safely in Spain where I live. I believe Jews are safer in Spain than in Israel. Secondly, like Nazism where only Aryans were accepted, in a Jewish state, only Jews can be citizens with full civil rights. This leads to Apartheid. This is the problem with nationalism based on ethnicity. These societies are not equal for all those born there. Finally, even if you disagree with me on the first two points, starting a new country by moving into the land of another indigenous people and then displacing those people and taking their land, resources, and property is cruel theft. This was a bad idea which is at the root of ethnic cleansing which persists to this day.

@ilhamfadhlirrachman5910 Thank you. I have rejected antisemitism all my adult life and welcomed a Jewish colleague and his family in my home many times. I also received the hospitality in the home of his parents who had escaped the Shoah by leaving Vienna before the Anschluss. I did not know what it was like to hate Jews and now in the winter of my life I am told I am a new-antisemite. That was a revelation.

@SIGMA_OO7. Thank you.

@Tomato_League Most Israeli Jews are not Semites but Caucasians.
1
1
@Adiluzz You reinforce my point. The charge of being antisemitic has been made so frequently that it has lost all meaning.
1
@الدقمالعالي The British began to change when WWII was beginning and they wanted the Arab states to deny access to the Third Reich to the Middle East. The British intended to deny Palestine to the Zionists and to allow an independent Palestine with an Arab majority. At this time the British were not sympathetic to the idea of a Jewish state.
1
@du_ckeymaster883 None of us are in any doubt about what Israelis believe. The Zionist educational system is similar to the racist indocyrination found in the curriculum of Das Dritte Reich.
1
@slabo8226 Palestinian-Israelis have different colored ID cards. Why do you suppose that is? Palestinian may have citizenship but the Israelis say they have different nationality. Does this begin to sound like apartheid to you? No? Do you still maintain that all Israeli citizens are equal? Now, perhaps you do not know that many civil rights in Israel depend on nationality and not on citizenship. But something tells me you already know this while you pretend all citizens are equal. In Israel there are laws which favor Jews over citizens who are not Jews. Did you not know this? Do you know that most land in Israel is off limits to Arab citizens? Most people in the European Union would consider this to be apartheid. A large percentage of land in Israel is under the control of the Jewish National Fund (JNF), which has a: "specific mandate to develop land for and lease land only to Jews. Thus the 13 percent of land in Israel owned by the JNF is by definition off-limits to Palestinian Arab citizens, and when the ILA (Israel Land Administration) tenders leases for land owned by the JNF, it does so only to Jews—either Israeli citizens or Jews from the Diaspora." Now then, how does this look to you?
