Quartey was just a fantastic fighter. You pretty much knew what he was going to do, for the most part, but he had a very good career and that man's jab was probably one of the best in recent history.
11
Hopefully Goodall goes on the attack like this and brings the aggression out of Ajagba; can have a good fight.
11
Nico has good offense. His problem is defense.
11
Judah was winning the early part of this fight and should have been credited a knockdown in the second round I think it was..... but then Floyd warmed up and figured him out and Judah did Judah did and stopped throwing punches.
11
Good bounceback for Nova. Got blown out in his last fight and comes in and does this.
11
@Allah_is_the_greatest_1_god Vianello's a good fighter but I don't think anyone thinks he's a top heavyweight and there was a clear level between him and Makhmudov. Makhmudov is probably a C, C+ level fighter at best.
10
Hopefully Rudy (and his brother) get into the HOF one of these days.
10
Always like to see them being respectful, instead of getting up there and acting like animals.
10
Whoever is Joet Gonzalez' manager is doing GREAT by his fighter. This will be his third title shot in less than four years and he even lost an eliminator in that same span. I'm tempted to say this is his last shot, but who knows..... maybe not!
10
This fight was nuts. Mayer could have probably boxed her way to a comfortable decision, but she stood right there and threw with Hamadouche. Great fight!
10
Mayer should fight Estelle Mossely while she waits on Katie Taylor.
10
@Aih1616 They were talking about Israel Vazquez who just passed away, having literally lost an eye and Valdez fighting a bunch of rounds with a broken jaw... and Ramirez said he wanted no part of any of that.
10
Be very interesting to see how Anderson bounces back. He, clearly, has a lot of work to do (especially on that defense) but if he's willing to do it, he's definitely young enough and a very good athlete. I think he turns out to be a pretty good fighter.
10
He should fight Muratalla
10
Always wondered how Marquez would have done against Naseem Hamed with that counterpunching he had at his best. Medina was also a very good fighter; had a fine career.
10
Think Ryan is naturally too big for Mayer.
10
James Toney is my favorite fighter ever and this fight, between the two of them, was probably one of the most SKILLED fights I've ever seen. Just a fantastic display of the sport.
10
Guy's sitting there at 3-1, turns out to be one of the greatest fighters of all time. Can't help but wonder if Mercado was related to future Hopkins opponent, Segundo Mercado in anyway.
10
He's excellent. When Crawford does finally get around to vacating the WBO belt at 147, I think Santillan ends up with it.
9
Natasha Jonas rematch, Lauren Price has the lineal or a rematch with Ryan. 147 is a fun weight.
9
I think Pedraza is going to pull the upset in this one.
9
Top Rank only has rights to young Mayweather fights.
9
Wilson was a replacement. The original opponent was Oscar Valdez, hopefully they get that back together next.
9
Just a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL fight. One of THE greatest you will ever see.
9
@decidingpaper6324 "Grandpa's making up stuff again!" No kid. He REALLY did it.
9
Middleweight is a wasteland but if you want to be the man there, you have to go through Janibek now. I still don't think he gets big fights, even with two belts.
9
Hopefully they find a way to get Conceicao one more title shot before the end of his career. Think he deserves it after this fight. Maybe against Foster... although that wouldn't be the best fight to watch.
9
This is that movie you really want to see but you're tired of seeing the trailer. Let's go already! I'm sick of waiting!
9
Should be excellent like the first one and the winner gets the winner of Jonas - Price for all the belts.
9
Pedraza's best days are definitely behind him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gives Davis a pretty good fight. He still has a very good jab does Pedraza.
9
If he didn't slap so much, Conceicao probably would have won a title earlier than he did against Valdez or Nava.
9
I think they've done a fantastic job bringing him along. Winnable fights, but competitive, with very few blowouts.
9
@Tony2z2 That's true. They do have Reiya Abe fighting for one at featherweight in a few weeks. He'll have a chance to change that. I don't think he will, but we'll see.
9
@Titus213-xc7pi No no. That was the lightweight, Masayoshi Nakatani.
9
That is brutal. Even if he's taking a lot in his hands and arms, it's still pain!
9
Seldon actually turned out pretty good eventually for a little while. Developed a very good jab.
9
Walters was limited, but he was probably one of the physically strongest featherweights of all time and you see what happened to Donaire. He ended up back down at 118.
9
@decidingpaper6324 Oh hell yeah. Tell him when and where and Venado will show up.... and he'll win. Go to the UK and beat Lowe, Conlan & Warrington and gets two stoppages and a world championship. That's fantastic!
9
I think they're trying to build him back up. He got stopped a couple of fights ago and was out 2 years before his last fight.
9
@bengolfs1 Yes, I was impressed by the Porter and Spence wins. For me he's shown that he's the best welterweight of his era. I don't need to see him against Keith Thurman or... yep, I guess Keith Thurman would be the only remaining one, to prove it. Best welterweight solidly, one of the best of his era altogether and the first male to go undisputed twice in the four belt era: Just my humble opinion, but I think he's done alright for himself.
9
What a NASTY shot that was to end it. This win got Alvarez a title shot against one of my favorite fighters ever, Stevie Johnston and Pito had a fine career as well.
9
You just watch him and Navarrete breaks so many rules and usually when someone does stuff like that and gets away with it, they either have crazy reflexes or one shot power and he doesn't have either one. He just absolutely brings it! Fighting him must suck!
9
The force and the speed and the accuracy (I GUESS) that the chair is thrown with is ridiculous! It's like it rained or something. It wasn't actually thrown by a human being. AND WHY???!
8
Nico really needs to work on his defense. His offensive game -- especially his punch selection -- always seems very good and he has decent power.
8
@vince11harris Oh you know I didn't mean as a person! I think I actually meant to say "Julian Jackson's POWER was just evil" here.
8
You forgot the Darchinyan fight for Donaire.
8
Never been really high on Davis, but he gets credit for that knockdown, that was smooth! But I do think Patera hurt him in the 9th. Still need to see more.
8
Zayas might be the best prospect in the entire sport.
8
Morales had some of the nastiest power on a little guy in the history of the sport. Barrera said his punch was "criminal".
8
@decidingpaper6324 Barring a deathbed confession, no we will NEVER know who and far more importantly, WHY???
