  6. Took a fight as a late replacement against a unified champ, learned from it and progressed; now he's world champion, about to make his second defense and in a perfect position to get a rematch with Kenshiro if they both win. Olascuaga's very impressive.

Yarde did a fine job; did his absolute best and I wouldn't be surprised, if he sticks around another couple of years or so, that when they break up all of those belts, that he ends up getting one. Bivol is the fight to make now. i don't want to see Beterbiev against Callum Smith or Jean Pascal. They both just satisfied mandatories and Canelo is out of the picture until, at earliest, late in the year. Beterbiev - Bivol this summer would be just fine!

  14.  @tmac1499  If he had to go through and fight legit guys in eliminators, he wouldn't have made it to a title fight. Someone would have beaten him. Santillan, Rocha, Curiel, Flaz... they probably don't do THIS to him, but all of those guys beat Sasaki.

  16. One of those fights that go to show just how ridiculously OP speed can be in a fight. David Diaz said the same thing after he fought Pacquiao. Power wasn't the problem, guy was just too damn fast.

  17. Berchelt is one of the most exciting fighters of his era. I don't think going up and fighting bigger and stronger fighters works out for him, ultimately, but he's going to be exciting as hell regardless of what weight he fights at.

Pacquiao was a champion at flyweight and ended up beating up two of the largest welterweights anyone has ever seen in Margarito and Clottey and another guy, Cotto, who would eventually become the legit middleweight champion of the world. In terms of recently what he did and what Amanda Serrano has done is just ridiculous.

  22. I think Kambosos can make it closer in a second fight, but I don't think he'll ever be able to beat Haney. I think Stevenson can beat Haney though and by a decent margin.

  23. Stevenson is about to have his second fight since this one and he got injured and had surgery (and rehabbed) in between.... and DLS hasn't fought at all since. Someone needs to go and get that man, he should be fighting.

He lands his best shots on guys at this stage of his career and they go the distance.... you think he's going to take out better fighters?? Fine, if that's your opinion, but you and I disagree there.

  28. Man could REALLY use a big fight, if he can't get it at 160 though, I don't know where he gets it. Move up and wait for vacated belts. 32 now and he might be in a position to run through his entire prime without fighting a top fighter.

Before the Crawford fight, he went to Russia and beat Troyanovsky who everyone thought would run right through him and did it with one of the nastiest knockouts you'll ever see, then he went to Scotland and absolutely schooled Ricky Burns, beat him better than Crawford did, actually. He had his day, it wasn't very long surely, but Indongo made his mark.

Venado fights in a way which is so wild and unorthodox that you can tell he didn't grow up doing it, but he has such a natural gift for the sport that's it taken him all the way to a world championship. He's a fantastic fighter, beating up guys with decorated amateur backgrounds and solid pros alike.

  36. I haven't been too impressed by Conceicao as a professional, but he is a really smooth boxer and he did beat Valdez as an amateur. Maybe he just has his number. I'll be rooting for him.

  45.  @OmarGotNoMotion  Oh of course he was, that goes without saying. I'm not saying he was a great fighter, he most certainly was not, but he had a really good career, particularly after where he came from. He did very well for himself and you cannot take that away from him.

  46. They're both young enough to deal with any result and be able to come back, I'd still be surprised if they matched them up anytime soon though. I think Xander beats him whenever they fight though.
