  16.  @neurofiedyamato8763  There are more sinister applications, like inducing auditory hallucinations. In the early 90s, RAND/DARPA worked on a project called the Battlefield Transmission System, that was allegedly cancelled. There is a current system called Battlefield Information Transmission System, which may or may not be somehow related, but is nothing more than a mobile network; so BTS should not be confused or conflated with BITS. The prototype BTS used a cranial transducer(worn like a sweatband around the head), to wirelessly transmit commands directly into the brain. It did so by stimulating the auditory cortex with a morse code type pulse. It was to eventually become a fully wireless system, using technology very similar to '5G'. That said, there are two areas of legitimate concern: 1) large-scale implementation and saturation of the environment. While limited small-scale testing has shown no ill effects, the same was said for DDT and many other technologies. There is a very real and valid cause for skepticism and concern about everything with a chip in it, radiating on this frequency. 2) Privacy. The most substantial threat of 5G implementation is that everything will be connected and auditable. In other words, your f'n toaster will collect information on your toasting habits and talk to my refrigerator about it. A very clear implication, is the ability to track anyone, aywhere, in aything. This will, of course improve user experience, so that's a super duper good thing 🙄
