Fake News
Once more, CNN gets it wrong. 'Stand Your Ground', yet again, is not at issue in this case. Right or wrong, this case is a fundamental self-defense case, based upon 'disparity of force', in that it was a large, young, fit man who viciously assaulted a small, frail victim. There was no ability to retreat and therefore 'no duty to retreat' is of no legal consequence. Surprise, of surprises, CNN 'lying to tell the truth'. Well, that or their 'legal expert', Cuomo, doesn't know WTF hes talking about.

Yeah, that's what's known as the investment paradox; where you go broke doubling down and doubling down, because you don't have the discipline to just walk away and cut your losses.
Luhansk is gone. You have to redraw all the maps. Mariupol is gone. 3 strategic cities in Donetsk will fall probably within a week. Russia is delivering ~70k rounds of artillery and dozens of precision weapons from 40km+, every day . Meanwhile, Zelensky is on tv 24/7 demanding the world turn over their armies to him. At this point, it would take a 700,000+ man NATO invasion force, 9 - 14 months preparation and staging, to even make an attempt at dislodging Russia from Donbas. And casualties are going to be somewhat higher than Iraq.
Within the next 6 weeks, Zelensky will be forced to withdraw from Donbas and establish a defensive line across the river, or he wont have enough of an army left, to defend the Capitol.

Your understanding is the definition of cope. Wagner declared the 'meat grinder' objective at the outset. Ukraine mocked it as an excuse for losing and threw everything it had at Bakhmut, including pulling critical forces from defensive positions in the North and South; which is why they're in grave danger of Russian breakthroughs there, now. It was when it became clear that Ukraine could not stop Wagner's advance and they had overcommitted, that they attempted to co-opt Wagner's strategy, as a face save. It was bullshit then, its bullshit now. The very best possible case for Ukraine, is that they eliminated a drain on Russia's resources by getting rid of their undesirables. This in no way, shape or form, taxed Russia. If anything, its made Russia leaner and stronger.
3 times Ukraine began a withdrawal and 3 times Wagner suckered them back in, by claiming they were out of ammunition and men. Repeatedly, NATO advisors told them to pull out of Bakhmut and repeatedly, Zelensky and senior Ukrainian leadership refused, because they had painted themselves into a corner with all their hardass talk.
Ukraine sent 10s of 1000s of their best against Russian convicts and got their ass handed to them. Now, because no one has learned a damned thing about spouting thoughtless propaganda, instead of losing a hard fight to a tough, smart determined enemy, your mockery and dismissal of Wagner and Russia, has left Ukraine's heros, rotting face down, in the puddle of shit you've spent the last 8 months throwing at a hotdog vendor and his shovel.

Nah, probably when he remembered that Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, considered a 'space force', but decided it wasnt yet technologically feasible. You know, before even the Middle East had space programs and any group of highscool kids with a couple thousand bucks could shoot their tricorder into space.
Nevermind, probably got the idea from a comic book, just like you.

FALSE
The 'Armalite rifle' is full auto and was developed specifically for military use. The Army was uninterested, so it was marketed to civilians in a semiauto package. Which itself, is pretty irrelevant, as I never used full auto off the range, more than 2 or 3 times and maybe one of those times, it was actually useful. The argument that the M16 is somehow fundamentally different from a common AR, is at best, fallacious. But, generally, its just disingenuous. Fact is, if I could go back in time and make changes, Id trade my M16A2 'Destroyer of Worlds', 5.56mm, Gas Operated, Magazine Fed, Machine Rifle, for any one of my civilian AR, without hesitation.

'Stalemate' is the new cope. Russia is counterattacking across the whole front and is about to launch a full scale offensive in the North and probably the South, as soon as Ukraine commits their army to an objective, where they cant redeploy forces to challenge them. Russia has 100,000 - 125,000 uncommitted troops in the Kharkiv AO and 50,000 - 70,000 reserve forces im the Donetsk AO.
Last year Russia was outnumbered 3:1, with inexperienced troops and no defensive fortifications. Now they're at a 1.3:1 advantage, with highly experienced, months trained, newly equipped troops with new capabilities and updated doctrine and massive defensive works throughout the entire theatre, while Ukraine is losing 5000 personnel per week and barely penetrated an insignificant portion of the Russians' first defensive order, in one place. Now, Ukraine is attacking civilian targets out of desperation, for some media victories.
Sokay, Victoria Nuland has Africa to destroy now. That should be easier.
