How could the highly skilled musicians like Herbie Hancock, Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie be replaced by the immature rappers, who can only play the victim and moan about life hardships? The society is degrading and the young people's minds are badly affected by the glorification of the flashy/ gangster lifestyle in movies, music and social media

Short people and amputee can play soccer. It's also can be played almost anywhere, even without the real soccer ball. This is why soccer is the most popular sport in the world
6
@Brhoward31 The punishment for any crime that's clearly documented with video evidence must be fair to the victim. Especially if the victim is injured, crippled or killed
5
And in the Bronx, which is the best place in New York if you want to fight against some thugs
5
Mask mandate = More robbers
5
@XmXm999 I think my reply got deleted by YouTube 😂
5
@williegordon9188 The communities and the government are too lenient with the violent people
5
@jessewoody5772 One person can't change the country culture, despite being the president. Only the communities can change their cultures
5
@josephdestito7997 They will, if the murderers face a firing squad/ hanging executioner, the executions are witnessed by people on the streets and the punishments are broadcasted live in prime-time on national television. The public humiliation and "an eye for an eye" punishment will teach the young people to be ashamed of being violent, so they stop wanting to be feared
5
To solve firearm violence problems in the US, ALL states must tighten the firearm laws as other highly developed countries did. Otherwise armed violent people from the states with relaxed firearm control measures could always visit the safer states
5
Violent criminals are getting more brazen in injuring, crippling and killing their victims, knowing there's no capital punishment in New York. Their worst scenario is getting free meals, healthcare and shelter for the rest of their lives, which will be paid by the taxpayers
5
NYC is a highly congested city with millions of people, so a firearm in the hand of a violent person could cause a carnage
4
Gonna get worse when WFH is getting more mainstream
4
The hardworking people can't even do their jobs without being attacked and harassed. Many taxpayers have been killed, yet the survivors have to pay for the inmates' free meals, medical and shelter!
4
As long as it is highly beneficial to the customers. Many people are too busy to cook and have to order takeouts
4
They would likely get replaced by AI in the near future and the ones who can't work other jobs could resort to crimes
4
Armed robbery should warrant at least twenty years in prison or capital punishment if the victims get hurt and if it is clearly captured by a camera, because the perpetrators threaten to take the victims' lives. It's infuriating to see these atrocities in the most powerful country in the world. The barbaric extremities will never stop until the authorities start thinning out the violent herd

@thethinker6257 Depends on whether he made the problem or those guys
4
@Crazymexicano214 Damaging other people's properties is violent

4
Why would they work an honest job, if they could get free meals, healthcare and college degrees in prison

3
More people coming than leaving because of NYC salary standards
3
The government should've let the population shrink naturally. Smaller population will make life competition less intense and lower property prices as happened in Japan, which will eventually make the citizens happier
3
More CCTVs and bulletproof vests as well
3
Everybody has got to run in the wilderness, whether you're a prey or a hunter. But if a predator has gone too far, it needs to be put down
3
@NeoBPP Why? The violent crime rate is atrocious and this shouldn't have happened in the most powerful country in the world
3
Imagine if firearm ownership was heavily regulated in all states and if the citizens were willing to reduce their "freedom" a little to abolish illegal weapons, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk and play outside in big cities without having to worry about stray bullets
3
@Zappypaddles A young American could always be a blue-collar worker and live frugally, but many of them aspire to get rich as soon as possible and are badly influenced by the flashy/ gangster lifestyles in movies/ music/ social media. There are many opportunities in the US for those who're willing to work hard
3
Ethan Crumbley, Frank R James, Payton Gendron and Robert E Crimo III were law abiding, until they snapped. Armed violent people from the states with relaxed firearm control measures could always visit the safer states
3
@user-or6yn8pm3c Individualism has become too strong in the country. The communities aren't really ashamed anymore of their members' misbehaviors
3
@skiman863 Don't listen to Axl Rose
3
@dat3rdsideboy386 The most powerful country in the world should also be the safest one, instead of spending billions to fight abroad
3
Being cautious and cameras won't lower the violent crime rate, but being ruthless and executing the rats will. There were only eleven executions last year and all were done behind closed doors. The legal system is a joke!
3
If I get a dollar every time a ma ss shoo ting occurs in the country, I would've been a millionaire
3
@juliebofco9347 Not yet. But these criminals usually get very short jail time before being released, because nobody gets injured or killed
3
Face slashing, acid attack, eye stabbing and pushing people to train tracks.... Yet there are still people who think a prison could fix the barbaric extremities of the repeat offenders
3

3
@Essays4College Vote for whoever will bring frequent public x-[cute]-ions back on the streets and live TV
3
@nerdfantasyxox Domestic or not, all first and second degree murders that are CLEARLY documented with VIDEO EVIDENCE must be charged with a capital punishment. Unless it is for self-defense
3
@cassball7 The executions in Texas and Florida were done behind closed doors and the communities/ identity groups of the death-row prisoners were never fully exposed, hence no big effects on the violent people's and the repeat offenders' mentalities. If all murderers were publicly shamed based on his/ her identity groups and prosecuted by the public before being publicly executed by a firing squad or a hanging executioner as in Saudi Arabia, the communities and the neighborhood watch groups could help to prevent the crimes
3
Batman is lame, because he doesn't take lives. We need the Punisher or Paul Kersey from Death Wish
3

3
@rentslave The UK and Canada are pretty diverse
3
So cheap for an attempted murder
3
Even if they get caught, they'd likely get released after a few days or months since nobody got injured and they'll never fully pay for their victims' permanent financial damages. Weak laws/ sentencing/ punishments, lawyers and defunding crowds have been ruining the once-great country
2
Refined carbohydrates and highly-processed food with added sugar
2
Because the population is too big and the supply chain cost is too high
