@mattk8810 I'm talking about the madness that has been happening in NYC, not just one case
2
People said safety barrier for the trains will get vandalized in the US. This can be prevented by installing CCTV cameras and imposing hefty fine
2
Yet there were only eleven executions in the whole country last year and all were done behind closed doors! Weak laws/ sentencing/ punishments, lawyers and defunding crowds have been ruining the once-great country
2
@pastorbill7374 Agreed
2
@MisfitsFiendClub138 It will be, if the murderers face a firing squad/ hanging executioner, the executions are witnessed by people on the streets and the punishments are broadcasted live in prime-time on national television. The public humiliation and "eye for an eye" punishment will teach the young people to be ashamed of being violent, so they stop wanting to be feared
2
@MelaninMagdalene No need for many jails if we can thin out the violent herd
2
@justshady It's been happening in San Francisco
2
It was an attempted murder FFS, so make them face a firing squad or more hardworking people will be crippled/ killed
2
We've got three injections. So no need for another mask mandate, as it will increase the crime rate further
2
@Quantum3695 Not everyone, but many young and late 30-year-old people committed violence on the streets. The number of crimes in the country was just around three millions in 1960, as compared to around eight millions in 2019+
2
If WFH becomes more common in the near future, the rent will go down again
2
@broadwaybo2032 There should've been at least two patrolling officers and allow them to use deadly force
2
Scary

2
In October 2022, NYPD announced that 1027 violent crimes were committed by 43 individuals only last year, which means they were caught and released after several days. Weak laws/ sentencing/ punishments, lawyers and defunding crowds have been ruining the once-great country
2
@calimuzik5497 I don't get you
2
NYC needs national guard snipers and Boston Dynamics terminators
2
The criminals are getting more brazen in crippling and killing their victims, knowing there's no capital punishment in NYC. The worst case scenario is they get free meals, medical and shelter for the rest of their lives, which will be paid by the taxpayers
2
Many citizens are trigger-happy. There were 44,213 firearm-related casualties in 2022. The US government has to replace those citizens and children with around 55,000 legal immigrants who weren't raised with the US' ideology and education, through Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery program each year
2
Muff Diver I wasn't surprised since he did it in NY
2
@mustang7603 Rather than having an arms race among the citizens and empowered the violent ones with long-ranged weapons, better ban it to make the authorities able to thin the armed violent people out
2
There are too many cool good-paying jobs in NY, as compared to the ones in other states
2
Never. Firearm/ ammunition manufacturing market size in the US is around $21.1 billion in 2022 and the annualized market size growth is 6.9%
2
Violent criminals are getting more brazen in injuring, crippling and killing their victims, knowing there's no capital punishment in New York. Their worst scenario is getting free meals, healthcare and shelter for the rest of their lives, which will be paid by the taxpayers
2
@healingandgrowth-infp4677 There's very little consequences for violent criminals, hence the boldness
2
Living standard and currency value in developed countries are too high, so the manufacturing has gone to the developing ones. Taxpayers have paid billions for better education, healthcare and safety, but the money has been spent for wars in other countries
2
One stab or stray bullet is enough to make a taxpayer unable to work for the rest of his/ her life. The violent people must fully pay for the permanent physical, financial and mental damages of the victims
2
@christophermclaughlin8917 The self-esteem movement and the flashy/ gangster lifestyles in movies/ music/ social media have badly affected young people's minds
2
To make America safe again, drop the mask mandate, install more CCTVs and reinstate the capital punishment. Too many hardworking people have been killed by the repeat offenders, because the bad guys know they will never face the death row
2
@sarrahc1338 Yes, but their government take the time to train people and conduct thorough background checks. Unlike the US, people who've been convicted of crime or have an alcohol/ drug addiction aren't allowed to buy firearms in Switzerland. They also need to prove that they're well-trained to use it and must pass a test to get a license. The "well-regulated militia" part isn't fully implemented in the US
2
@bigsmitty867 Violent criminals in other developed and big countries could also get illegal weapons too, but look how their authorities dealt with it for many decades
2
@ravenna9969 Had those violent people in the UK been able to use firearms, there would've been many more casualties and the police wouldn't have easily taken them down
2
@frankcorrea8691 Thanks for the info. I hope Austin and Bastrop aren't as dangerous as Dallas, Houston and Plano, because I'm heading there next month
1
@gmkhn66 Even if they get caught, they'd likely get released after a few days or months since nobody died and they'll never fully pay for their victims' permanent financial damages. Weak laws/ sentencing/ punishments, lawyers and defunding crowds have been ruining the once-great country
1
When we're commenting, highly entitled poor single mothers are producing next generation of violent people, powered by the financial assistance from the government
1
Punching a child in the head is an attempted murder, so describe the suspect and the victim more clearly. All lives matter
1
The repeat offenders will keep killing the hardworking people, if the authorities don't deter them by reinstating the capital punishment or public execution
1
Because salary standards are increasing
1
How hard is it to get rid of illegal gun infestation in five decades? Unless it's deliberately allowed to make the Real Purge
1
Firearms are available like candies, to be bought by untrained/ mentally-ill/ ex-convict/ alcoholic people and stolen by violent criminals
1
@sorimasn Unlike the US, people who've been convicted of crime, mentally-ill or have an alcohol/ drug addiction aren't allowed to buy firearms in Switzerland. They also need to prove that they're well-trained to use it and must pass a test to get a license. The "well-regulated militia" part isn't fully implemented in the US
1
I wouldn't live and work in NYC unless I can save $2000 each month
1
Unlike the other developed countries, the guns are highly accessible to stupid and violent people. There is knife violence in the UK, but the victims can run
1
Better leave the country and head to another developed country
1
Only unfit people died from COVID
1
There are always more people coming to NY, than the leaving ones
1
@miker9082 Hopefully the trend continues, so the economy could be more distributed across the country
1

1
If I don't tip a Lift driver or a restaurant for a takeout as a tourist, would they get upset?
1
The country had fallen into such a state of lawlessness, that citizens had to arm themselves because there were no police to protect them. If most citizens want to keep their firearms, public executions must be brought back on the streets/ live TV and they should be allowed to take any intruders' lives
