Violent criminals are getting more brazen in injuring, crippling and killing their victims, knowing there's no capital punishment in New York. Their worst scenario is getting free meals, healthcare and shelter for the rest of their lives, which will be paid by the taxpayers

An attempted murder should've warranted a capital punishment, since it was clearly recorded by a camera. Weak laws and lawyers have been ruining the once-safe country
16
The perpetrators will never fully pay for their victims' permanent physical/ financial damages in the US and the executions are done behind closed doors, hence no deterrence. In Saudi Arabia, the punishment is usually eye for an eye
16
If the perpetrator isn't Caucasian, it's usually called gangster activity

@brittscott4673 Probably, but those barbaric people will never fully pay for their victim's permanent physical and financial damages Their worst case scenario is getting free meals, healthcare and shelter for the rest of their lives, which will be paid by the taxpayers
14
It seems easy to do anything you want without consequences in the US
14
Don't forget the free medical and college degree, if he's willing to study. An ex-felon could get affordable housing as well, while many hardworking people live in their vans and many young ones have around 80k student debts

Many citizens are trigger-happy. There were 44,213 firearm-related casualties in 2022. The US government has to replace those citizens and children with around 55,000 legal immigrants who weren't raised with the US' ideology and education, through Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery program each year

Did the driver threaten her
13
Expose his family, community and identity groups, so they could help us prevent their members' misbehaviors in the future. The country lacks communal spirit and the communities don't feel ashamed of their violent members

Sad? It's infuriating to see these atrocities in the most powerful country in the world! Violent criminals are getting more brazen in injuring, crippling and killing their victims, knowing there's no capital punishment in New York
12
Many people in the country aren't ashamed of being violent/ crooked and want to be feared. When you have generations that are growing up with no respect for authority and being encouraged to "express themselves" without morals or fear of reprisal, then you have anarchy
12
Eye for an eye. Vote for whoever will bring frequent public x-[cute]-ions back on the streets and live TV. Make the country safe again and stop wasting taxpayers' money on violent criminals' meals/ healthcare/ housing/ education
11
Imagine if firearm ownership was heavily regulated and if the citizens were willing to reduce their "freedom" a little to abolish illegal weapons, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk and play outside in big cities without having to worry about stray bullets

10
There should also be at least two officers on each platform and in each train car. They should be allowed to use lethal force as well
10
Move those homeless to cheaper cities ASAP and put at least one officer in each train
9
Who brings a knife into a museum? It was an attempted first-degree murder
9
He is left-handed, so it shouldn't be hard to identify him
9
Eye for an eye. Make him an example to other violent people. Weak laws/ sentencing/ punishments, lawyers and defunding crowds have been ruining the once-great country
8
The US seems good for rich people only. People who live outside gated communities and the ones who have to commute everyday using public transportation are highly vulnerable to crimes and mass shootings
8
They never mentioned the health condition and the physical shape of the guy. Sometimes highly processed food and supplements could cause undetectable diseases
8
@MayTheOddsBeInYourFavor I think so, because I could get free college degrees in prison and affordable housing after I get released, while many young people have around 80k student debts and are struggling to pay rent. Since 2018, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance in New York put together a plan to spend around $7.3 M on college programs for prisoners, at the Bedford Hills, Taconic, Wallkill and other correctional facilities
8
Armed robbery should warrant at least twenty years in prison or capital punishment if the victims get hurt and if it is clearly captured by a camera, because the perpetrators threaten to take the victims' lives. It's infuriating to see these atrocities in the most powerful country in the world. The barbaric extremities will never stop until the authorities start thinning out the violent herd
8
Who brings a box cutter when commuting?
8
She could've lived within her means or been extremely frugal as I've been doing, but she attacked other people instead. Jealous people who tried to live beyond their means and narcissists are very dangerous

If they dare to do it to the officers, let alone you. Violent criminals are getting more brazen in injuring, crippling and killing their victims, knowing there's no capital punishment in New Jersey. This is why people need tall fences with barb wires in the Wild West
7
It should apply to other states as well, because it could save the recruiters and the applicants a lot of time. No need to conduct a job interview if the salary expectation is too high

Atheistme NYC crime rate climbed 31% in July 2022 compared to July 2021
7
She'd likely get released soon
7
When a drug addict died because of his resistance during an arrest, the crowds rioted. When an innocent bystander, a taxpayer and a college student got killed by violent people, nobody lifted a finger
6
I was thinking about The Purge
6
Always close the fire door!
6
Ungrateful man. Why can't the government give them farming jobs in remote areas? I thought the country has a lot of farming lands that belong to the government? If I were a homeless person, I'd be happy to live decently in a village

Minority attacked another 🤦♂️ and there will be no consequences for the racist
6
In October 2022, NYPD announced that 1027 violent crimes were committed by 43 individuals only last year, which means they were caught and released after several days
6
Describe more about the victim and the perpetrator. A man with a skateboard and a senior citizen won't make us more alert
