The more of Mike Lynch I see the more I like him.
182
Abolish private schools, and while you are at it, abolish faith schools.
170
I don’t think it’s “deep down”. It’s pretty obvious they don’t want to sort the “small boats” issue. They see it as a vote winner.
146
@jacqdanieles yes, minimum participation level and a super majority (60/66%)
109
The tory party Rory loved started dying in the 1980s, and it’s been in the final death throes when Cameron left office.
84
Why aren’t they forcing the rich to work if it gives you dignity?
82
It’s not the first time the Tories have circled the wagons around one of their own who have acted unethically and inappropriately. Isn’t this a national security matter?
81
We need PR urgently. The results showed again how unfit for purpose the FPTP system is.
65
What would it take to get a Tory booted from the party?
64
The rental market and investment buyers that are the bigger issues. We need more houses. But we also need to make the current home ownership fairer.
55
One can only hope that there is a Lib Lab coalition. We need a voting system where disenfranchised voters are represented.
50
The same way LePen has been doing so well, or Meloni, or the AFD, or Maga.
50
And disgraced former Prime Minster Alexander Johnson.
42
@_lmagine fear is often irrational.
42
Why are they so morally spineless? This is a non-issue. These tories are hypocrites.
41
@dianeirvine7624 banks fund investment, rich people horde money and take it out of the economy.
39
Sunak has a plan and it’s working. I wonder what the plan is.
38
@isbestlizard he said it was “garbage”.
38
The right wing troll bots are out in force tonight 😂 Funny they all have the same talking points, and not one actually aimed at the discussion here.
36
Russian bot 😂
36
@Alex-mo3dbhow have Labour bought chaos? I’m confused. Do you have a magic ball 🎱?
34
Private schools? Sorry, but I have no sympathy for people going without luxuries…
29
@pauls7803 they are more draconian than they were 20 years ago. That’s the more important measure. Doesn’t matter what’s happening elsewhere. Facisum doesn’t follow a standard model. Italy, Germany and Spain had facist movements that operated in very different ways.
28
@jeffsimon9594 and yet you are here, every day, every video. Don’t you have a life?
26
You have John Stewart, he’s pretty great and telling liars they are liars to their face too!
26
To be fair, now Paris is the largest financial centre in Europe having taken business out of London, least they could do.
24
Always no.1 or 2 in the world for educational attainment too. Who would have thought, making decision makers have a direct interest in state schooling could be a positive thing?
23
@Britking1 they are a sovereign country, they should be able to join if they want.
22
@nihilistlivesmatter it’s not a protest, it’s a riot.
21
Andy Burnham talking sense again. Really should be in Parliament as leader.
20
@richardgallagher4880 we have many unelected bureaucrats in this country. Many are in the legislature. The House of Lords is made up of mostly appointees. The hereditary lords vote a proportion of there number so I suppose that’s a little democratic. Oh, let’s not forget the bishops. You have no clue do you.
20
What does that mean? What big picture?
20
@resistancefighter9009 I think you need a better Russian to English translation programme.
19
This is like watching Matt Dilahunty without the hard philosophy
18
Maybe if it was a legal requirement for the media to at least base reporting on facts 🤷♂️
18
@garyb455 there is austerity. What you mean is you aren’t seeing the result. The result is undermining our services and funnelling off the money to private interests
18
@Mee-n3e people blaming there failings on the EU was the problem in the first place. Well that and lies. Lots of lies.
18
As a partner of TIC, the company that caused the crash no less.
17
@laidbackkodiak it’s always been a problem. It’s been a key policy platform of the LD and Greens for decades.
17
@BluddyGoodBloke his early work as a psychologist was competent, but he’s a ridiculous figure now. He comes across as someone who had a serious breakdown.
17
@TonyAaronII ”I pray to Joe Pesci, he gets things done” - George Carlin
17
He’s an intellectual who’s passionate about his ideas. How is he supposed to talk to keep you happy? Dull and dry? That just switches people off the message.
16
@teem5642 it’s hasn’t. The issue with refugees isn’t the issue. First up its not illegal to arrive in a small boat. Any form of entry is Legal under UN charter to a country signed up to it. We take fewer than any similar sized country in Europe. The failed applicants are often allowed to stay where they stay is due to the time taken to process claims. This means they qualify for migrant status even if they fail because they build lives here. Three year processing times is a consequence of a small state conservative government. The Tories have broken the system on purpose. Improve processing facilities and work with France is the way to improve this. Maybe stop buggering up other countries would help too (ala Iraq and Afghanistan).
15
I know too many educated people who choose not to inform themselves on this and a wide range of topics.
15
@dominiclane8538 that’s told them, what a well reasoned rebuttal of the OP.
15
The establishment (Tories/religious types) tried to get the Life of Brian, in fact the BBC and ITV refused to air it initially.
15
@ezekielbenisrael1962 but what about! Or you could just engage with the actual comment 🤷♂️
15
One can only hope that there is a Lib Lab coalition. We need a voting system where disenfranchised voters are represented.
14
Cool story bro. And yet there is zero evidence of it 🤔. Oh wait, I bet someone on Facebook said it.
14
I respect Bernie Saunders, more than most current politicians I know of. Not perfect, but more perfect than many.
