  1. And if they did that, Russia would just end up holding more of their territory and then just push forward again in another few years. The line has been drawn here and cannot be allowed to go any further. France is not a nation to be looking up to right now.

  4. That might be true to an extent, but then how do you know that your government is helping at all. Many might just be saying they are being quiet in order to protect the security of deliveries going to Ukraine, but in actuality aren’t sending anything at all, just so we can be selfish and hoard everything for ourselves. This is only natural in war and we need to let Russian know that, no matter what it does, or weapons are still going to make a difference whether it knows about them or not. Plus, they have spies and satellites of their own. They would know about this anyway. We shouldn’t be scared of this. We need to embrace it and punch Putin right in the face.

  5. Not really. After all how else are you going to be able to boost the resolve of the people who are actually fighting if they don’t even know that new suppliers are coming. Let alone actually letting your own public know that you are doing anything when they might be out for your blood if you aren’t actually helping those in need.

  6. I love that the North Korean defectors are still sending over balloons full of leaflets and money to their former Conrades from the south over to the north. That’s a very cool move. It’s horrible that the DPRK continues to attack South Korea though over the actions of individuals, it just goes to show how shameful they really are yet feel absolutely no shame in their actions.

  10. Here here. Like most politicians it feel like he is trying to kick it down the ball park juuust so more people will HOPEFULLY forget about them, WHEN WE WON;T THIS TIME. Ukraine has needed this very stuff and has been BEGGING for this equipment to save its people. They could've been taught on them and be operational in Ukraine on the front lines ages ago by now but these leaders were to sloooow and old to do anything about it. Now they're say it's going to take MONTHS for them to be in Ukraine, when we aaaall know that with intensive training they could be done in a month if they really wanted to. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN ASAP, and for our govs to know WE'RE NOT LOOKING FROM THEM and we're keeping a clear eye on their promises.

  11. Germany really has let the side down here. This indecision from Germany is massively undermining them as a reliable partner, even with the amount of supplies they’ve sent to Ukraine. They can ‘at least’ allow everyone else to send their Leopard 2 tanks ASAP. Germany can at least allow this without losing out. It doesn’t make ANY SENSE to not allow Poland and others to do this.

  14. Here here. You cannot be a trust country if it isn't happen with others looking closely at its territory. If you are a good government you shouldn't have anything like this to hide. When a country starts acting like this, I am starting to feel in the 21st century we should actually be doubling DOWN, otherwise history will just repeat itself again and again.

  15. And to think, it seemed like China had finally stopped attacking the Buddhist faith decades ago and was something that was actually tolerated and an asset even, especially in terms of tourism. Yet it seems now they have finally decided to push even against it again. It seems like any resemblance of tolerance is just going out of the window. Even more so than what we have known until now.

  20. INDEED. I will only believe it when I see them in action. I mean, we were apparently sending many maaany Mastiff armoured vehicles and Humvees to Ukraine and this was a done deal, but I have seen noooo evidence of them online in Ukraine.

  29. I really do hope this eventually happens. NATO fail before and they cannot afford to fail again. First of course, is making sure Finland and Sweden are able to join when we resolve this whole Turkey issue. After that, then Ukraine is sure to be next.

  37. We definitely need to try and now get them out by any means necessary while we still can. I know Turkey has been discussed with helping. It feels like it is very unlikely considering they are desperate to not break the neutrality with Russia despite one of the companies selling BT2 drones to Ukraine, but I feel like they would be willing to help if the pressure is on them enough.

  38. Oh absolutely. We are near the end of March now and that is when the Ukrainian crews will be probably returning to Ukraine to start using the Leopard 2s tanks, and the crews training in the UK and Germany on the Challenger 2 tanks will be finished at the end of March. they will be getting ready for the spring offensive and the critically need ammunition right now, but at the very least by next month for the very big deliveries outside of the ones that are currently arriving from Europe and the US. It will be critical while in the US, followed by here in the UK and the rest of mainland Europe, the manufacturing facilities can continue expanding their factory footprints to start manufacturing to meet demand.

  43. Uuuuum, just because you’re going back to what you were once ruled by, doesn’t mean it’s going to be better. Britain did a lot better job in Hong Kong than China did. And I think they would much prefer to be ruled over by democracy in any sense from a lot of other countries then a single Communist dictatorship. And Hong Kong can go it alone anyway. They would be fine.

We’ve reeeeally gotta hope that this war is enough of a wake-up call for the German gov to finally change and start making faster decision and just TRY to lower the bureaucracy that has taken too damn much of their country over. We’ve been saying this FOR MONTHS NOW and still too little change (mush to the public’s and military’s annoyance) but I’m sure it’ll start to happen more this year after the agreement to actually now send it’s tanks to Ukraine.

  45. The city is just an absolute wreck now, like something from an apocalyptic scene. What I’m confused about though is this. They keep saying that Ukraine is having to hold the city until Western supplies arrive that can make a difference, including main battle tanks… But, Ukraine is already now receive those tanks! The Leopard 2 tanks were delivered the week before last. I mean, surely they would’ve delivered them nearer to the front lines on flatbeds or something and then they would’ve driven the rest of the way? Surely after this much time now they should’ve reached the city? Those tanks should be seeing action by now, so I don’t understand WHY they still aren’t in Bakhmut.

  49. This’s quite terrible new, but I also can’t help but be surprised that someone was even able to kill this many people with a bow and arrow in this day and age. Not because the weapon is any less dangerous, but simply that he was able to continue killing people before he was stopped. He must’ve been really killed equipment.

This is shocking, although I do find it a bit weird that the old German flag is associated with far-right racist nationalism, seeing it isn’t the ‘swastika’ or anything, but the flag that came before it of the old Germany. And typically us in Britain don’t associate that Germany with extremism. Back then they weren’t that much different from any other nation including ourselves. No offence to anyone intended.
