True, BUT, You can’t just go replace every single old tree with a new baby tree. That would be so foolish, as not only, would you then be losing these historic monuments of nature, old trees are much better at sucking up carbon from the atmosphere and locking it in the ground. Not only do baby trees not do that anywhere near as efficiently, but once you take away the old trees and they start rotting, they will start releasing a lot of that carbon back into the atmosphere again, unless you bury them. As they aren’t going to be buried, chopping down more trees with the green washing of saying you will plant new ones is really terrible. There needs to be a balance.

The actions of the German government at the highest level are very shameful, and is embarrassing the whole of Europe.
1
Yeah, by DEFINITELY TRY and get some good airial shows out of them while we can. I mean can you just picture how beautiful this baby will be when they're finally in the air!

This is the problem that is very much present in the US. Unfortunately, it is the case because a lot of the companies started gaining too much power and started buying up their competitors or the other ones couldn’t keep up with development. Overall, though, it was simply a case of complacency and preference over some companies, leading to lack of diversity within the sector. As a result, a lot of weapons or even just some parts are made by one or at most three companies. This means that they can’t keep up with the demand anymore.The consolidation of companies being bought up and merged into others started a lot more in the 90s and now this is the end result. We can only hope now this will start to happen in reverse.

@decentgamer5670 Well to be fair in a governments back pocket 10 million euros and only having 40 of them is basically chump change. Also these can STILL be taken out by long, medium and short range ATGM. So, can definitely still do more.
1
There are different levels of wounded actually. Anyone with a limp can be counted as wounded so even if they might look externally fine, if they are no longer able to run then they can be counted as wounded and be part of the evacuation as they might only hinder efforts at Azovstal to hold out the Russians.

I'm sooo relieved really that Japan has finally done this. Ther Japanese PM was right to go to Kyiv. I just wish he'd done so a looot sooner. On top of continued sanctions, I hope Japan can continue or 'resume' sending medical and military aid to Ukraine as we haven't heard a lot if any news about this since last year. That is aside from equipment to help with Ukraine's neverendingly damaged energy grid that they've been helpingh with, of which we very well may see Japanese as well as European personnel outside of the militaries to help. Anything from Japan with its still high quality manufacturing must be a great help. Also would be interesting to know if any Japanese ex-military personnel were able to join the volunteer Ukrainian Foreign Legion in the end, as I did hear I think that many were reused by the volunteer group when they tried to.

Not true at all. Otherwise then how can we trust our government are sending anything. After all, as he said, many supplies of weapons that was supposed to have been sent, haven’t even cross the borders yet even though it would be so easy and don’t even require additional training. It’s simply a case of lack of resolve and pushing from government officials to follow through. If they don’t end up publicising anything at all, you can trust that they aren’t doing anything at all. We need to have this information and make sure they push through and keep poking them with a metal stick, otherwise this pony won’t move. If anything, there should be a public on military person standing behind each politician and zapping them every half an hour with a taser or electric prong if they aren’t doing enough. I’m not even kidding here. They’re politicians. That literally is probably what would be required in order for them to actually move in the way that is required.
1
I wonder what kind of made up evidence they’ll find out and claim it somehow legitimises this illegal queue.
1
It’s Pretty thanks to the fact that they went into lockdown hard during the first wave. It was so amazing. You could actually see the sky again in the cities. Such a shame that things went almost instantly back to normal after lockdown was eased. Hopefully though one day it can be this way again for the skies and the air without Covid.

@AstroGremlinAmerican Here here

@gustavmeyrink_2.0 And don't even know if they're still delivering more ATGMs or ammo when they neeeed this every freaking day. A war between nations is both a sprint and a marathon constantly, but the German chancellor is acting like its just a steady hiking trip up a hill because it's far away. If you're going to help, AND YOU KNOW YOU CAN, give it your all.
1
@kathysopinion854 Apart from a lot of ATGMs and other type of similar weapons, I haven't seen anything. Ukrainian are supposed to be in Germany right now training on the mobile howitzers and have been doing so for a few weeks now but have heard nothing sinse then. They should hopefully be done soon so we NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THIS. They also said they would ALSO be delivering many surface-to-air missile firing armoured vehicles that they stopped using in about 2010, 'but they won't be there until early or mid July'. This is huuugely unacceptable but better than nothing. Can't help be coooonstant remember though that this could've all been done from the beginning for this stage of the BLASTED WAR and saved sooooo many lives.
1
I bloody well hope not. The last thing we need is another oil pipeline.
1
I find this absolutely crazy news to hear. It didn’t seem like the right thing to be happening at all with other companies massively pulling back from China right now and imposing sanctions on them for the treatment of the people in Hong Kong and the uighur minorities.😞 Not to mention aggressive moves towards countries like Taiwan and their other neighbours. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. We need to massively pull back at an exponential level both Chinese imports and exports.
1
YES. FIIIIINALLY. Germany’s government has definitely now been veeeery badly hurt by taking so long to come to this decision, but at least now we can actually move on. This’s finally happening. Let’s now get the training started ASAP.
1
The only answer is actual real military force. That’s the only language China will actually except now. We’ve been trying so long as best we can without coming to blows but to no avail.
1
@greenbeanfroggy3177 EVERYONE MUST FOCUS ON THIS. It is everyone’s business.
1
@keracsvminya8778 I should certainly hope so. The old ways of China and Russia getting their own way through fear of military conflict has to end NOW.
1
@Gesundheiterkeit You are absolutely right.
1
Woooow. That’s something very shocking to say and totally unnecessary. It’s only difficult to learn for some people and certain cultures. Here in England it’s quite easy to learn by comparison as it is a language that is so similar to our own in many areas. Literally many other words are simply different versions of our own same words with only slight spelling changes. As a result it is incredibly easy for us to remember some words, even after many years out of practice. The language 30 doesn’t need to be reformed just to make it ‘easier’ for outsiders.
1
Actually they have quite a lot of sympathy for us. I should know because I've been in correspondence with a lot of them oversea. They've said they can't imagine the amount of stress the British people are under thanks to all this.
1
Here here. Especially when it comes to more helmets, body armour and ammunition. You would think ammunition would be one of the first things to get there as it’s not exactly complicated stuff. It’s literally a case of shove it in and fire. You don’t need training on this. Especially as Ukraine has the equipment to at least use that stuff. If other countries are going to use it, then they at least need to handover their Soviet era ammunition or stuff that is still compatible in scale with Ukrainian rifles and long-range guns. We need actual updated information to confirm that Ukraine is getting the additional bullet ammunition it needs. We haven’t heard much about this but this should be among the easiest stuff to restock
1
@The_Reality_Filter That was unnecessary. Not all of us have the power to help directly on the front lines, even with money donations. We are talking about the people here who actually have the power and the means to actually make the difference but aren’t committing to it.
1
@claude9560 Which is WHY Ukrainians should’ve been training this whole time on US M1 tanks. The US literally has thousands of them. I’m not even exaggerating that. They’ve got a huge surplus that just keep getting mothballed and left in the deserts for whenever they might be needed. This has been going on since the end of the 90s. Any one of them is stronger and more powerful than a lot of the Russian tanks. It’s a bit late now, but since the end of February or March, they could’ve easily have trained Ukrainian crews on how to use them. The US could’ve handed over more than enough thanks for Ukraine to meet the necessary demand, and the US still would not be in the red in terms of its own numbers.
1
@greyvoice7949 IAgree. All of us in the general public are actually paid attention to around forces, could quite clearly see the threat from China and Russia ever-growing, for some reason our army continue to shrink under the weight of money and bureaucracy. Always focusing more and more on specialised fighting to combat reductions in troops. But that can only go so far. Plus with us allowing more and more women into roles that is simply a skilled enough for and having to lower standards to accommodate this demand from the far left, we are now in and have a greater danger of being out skilled and outgunned by more than one enemy who would be far more aggressive and unmerciful then perhaps our own soldiers would be. We are in deep trouble and we need to at least hope that the British government has seen this and is changing its teaching techniques and increasing the size of the Armed Forces as a result in secret.
1
For god saaaaake we need to help the civilians and fighters in Mariupol ASAP. We can’t just stand on the sidelines anymore. We need to actually get directly involved, both in and outside of Ukraine, even if it means risking ourselves. At this point it is just in human that we are not doing enough when we know we can clearly do more. Bureaucracy has no place in war.
1
@KingSobieski I give them an A+ plus for huge success. They’ve done unbelievable work in defending the city right to this point. We need to help them.
1
Yeah, we wouldn’t have to keep digging them up here for starters. At least not by as much as we’re going to need.
1
@quocbaonguyen8308 no, they didn’t earn it.
1
@wombat5274 We can only hope that’s what happened here instead.
1
Well it’s mainly because of course we don’t have enough space in the UK to do so without building on greenbelt land. While in Ukraine, it’s basically a clean slate and they do have more space for building elsewhere so it makes sense really that they can actually get help both financially and with actual building contractors to help build the country back. I hope to see the latter eventually. Honestly to keep up with demand, they could get builders from across Europe to help build homes again, and this could also help with Ukraine transitioning to a more European further rather than an ex-Soviet country, both in its government and its appearance.
1
So long as Chrome doesn’t AT ALL get destroyed in the process please. I use it every day and definitely find it to be the best.
1
Hopefully with the international community finally taking even a small stance against China now, it will open the door to other nations getting properly militarily involved in stopping the injustice in Myanmar. It will be the first step in finally showing the CCP that they are not the boss of the Asia anymore, AND WE ARE NOT AFRAID. Freedom for everyone.
1
@KratomFlavoredAdidas Very true
1
It's good to know at least that the majority of Russia's reservists are now in Ukraine, so we can now expect the Russian military to start to struggle to get more people in front line positions and be more organised in time. At least we can hope so. Stay strong Ukraine. You can and will win this. We will get you everything you need to make it a reality. Slava Ukraine

Sadly, Fukushima will take a lot longer. But certainly no where near as long as Chernobyl. Good luck to all of them.
1
As a person living in Britain who voted for Brexit, I am glad we are out of the EU, but still, I would much rather Canada be in the EU than not. Let alone I’d much rather that than Canada becoming something like the 51st state of America. That would be a nightmare. Both can bring a lot to both parties.
1
I can only imagine what this must've been like for people on the ground now. Would've felt like time was repeating itself. Thank goodness it didn't fully this time. Still though, a very disturbing coincidence. Sending best wishes from Britain.
1
@shhs6127 thankfully, Britain is gonna send Challenger 2 tanks now 😁, so Germany and others are sure to give approval for the Leopard 2 tanks. These two absolute BEASTS in Ukraine would make a huuuge difference, just like we’ve been hoping our governments would do, for aaall these months since this stage of the war started.
1
Ah ok thank for filling that in. It definitely looks like it's still meant to be able to have a manned crew anyway. Wonder how often they'll end up doing one or the other.
1
@yogaji1247 Here here👍🏼
1
Yep. Putin is the bloody comedic joke here.
1
@ManChickin Here here
1
And that is why it neeeeds to change. At least in terms of more right and DEFINITELY when it comes to having children for starters. They need to have that right.
1
I couldn't agree more. They should've just sent them over in the night with the Ukrainian pilots just flying them back themselves. Therefore the Polish wouldn't have been delivering them. I really hope though that the discussion of this in 'private' isn't off the table and they're still trying to get this done ASAP. They can't just be allowed to think they have been let off the hook on this one and we're still expecting them to keep this promise.
1
@Bee.Holder Actually that sounds like a pretty freaking good idea. Perhaps they should've done that after all.
1
@gabrielc.2177 We can only hope so, and that it is still being discussed behind closed doors.
1
So I guess the question is, was he shot by some political fanatic who didn’t like him, or was he shot by somebody hard by the people that are corrupting the government itself or one of the drug gangs.😞
