Just legalise and tax it already. It’s freaking ridiculous at this point.

This destruction is just absolutely horrific. I’m just relieved that help from abroad has arrived to try and make up for lack of numbers in rescue workers. I’m so proud that a sizable amount of British personnel are already on the ground doing the work. Let’s hope, that some people can still be saved.

My god, this is hugely horrific.😞 They should really be on the major news channels as well. We aren’t hearing about it from any of the others. Well done to the emergency responders for acting so quickly and trying to put all of their effort into retrieving survivors, but they need more help. Especially from foreign countries who are so far doing nothing. We need to be helping with this too.

Oooh bugger. I hadn’t even considered that Russian troops might actually try going through this area until now. If that doesn’t feel like a terrible war or postapocalyptic scene I don’t know what is. Definitely sending all of my support to the soldiers and volunteers of Ukraine.

This was ABSOLUTELY the most successful launch and landing attempts so far. Truly beautiful to see both the Booster and Starship come back down. Everyone on the live-streams shouting go go go goo goooooo.😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I hope the police are indeed able to do better tonight as the journalist said. This level of violence is completely unacceptable.

They're definitely ready for this. I believe in each and every Ukrainian and volunteer fighter and first responder in this fight. Stay strong guys.

This day has just been one of the craziest things ever since the start of the full-scale invasion itself. If Prigozhin has decided to turn back though, this is a bit of a surprise considering his motivation up to this point. Again, something must’ve happened in private communication channels that forced him to turn around. I’m thinking most likely it was the threat of absolute annihilation upon him and his men, rather than him caring about the bloodshed of his troops.

I’ve got to say Boris Johnson really was unyielding in his statement here, and I hugely appreciate he has done this. He seems to be drawing a hard line on this more and more and I think it’s because he’s truly seen the reality of this just like when Covid first hit. I have a feeling he’s going to be really tough now right to the very end of it. Although still won’t add up to a victory unless we actually commit to properly doing what is needed and getting our personnel and heavy equipment out there.

This is the most horrific I’ve seen it so far. Absolutely appalling that the government even allowed it to reach this level in the first place through their own in actions.

Well, honestly, I don’t know how to feel about this. I honestly thought he was going to go all the way. Apparently there was some fighting going on between Wagner and standard Russian military forces, so surely that means then that some blood has been spilled, unless they just mean basic fighting without any fatalities? Either way, I am a little bit surprised that he has linked here and has turned around. We sort of need this situation right now to help Ukraine, but it doesn’t look like it is going to happen after all. At least for now. It would be very interesting to know why this has happened behind closed doors. Something else is going on here that forced him to turn around and head back to the previous position.🤨🤔

These are just absolutely horrific scenes. I doubt the UN will do ‘anything’ as they still have yet to act in the ‘slightest’ against the military in Myanmar, so it will probably take them forever to do anything in Mozambique as well. We can only hope that perhaps a NATO force can come in and help for now.
42
Ukraine chooses freedom. I couldn’t agree with him more. A very powerful yet simple and meaningful statement indeed.
35
My deepest condolences to the families of Juice and the two other pilots who lost there lives yesterday.😞 They were surely great men to Ukraine and much needed in this war and it is soo sad that this’s the way their lives ended. To Ukraine and the families, I am soo dearly sorry.
34
I totally wouldn't mind camping along the sand front like that. It would probably be just as great as any Qatar hotel.
33
Weeeell, that both true and untrue. After all, the old were once the young ones that didn’t die.
33
This is definitely the right way to go. It’s great that we are investing so heavily in it. Although we definitely need to ramp up production of the actual components in the UK rather than just importing them. If we can actually do such extensive tests in this country, then surely we can make them as well.
30
An absolutely incredible find. How on earth did I not hear about this two years ago? I definitely want to go and see the museum exhibit for this.
29
This was an incredibly powerful and fully covered speech that was long time coming the for UN. I just hope they'll listen. Either the UN actually ACTS on what the citizens of the would world have said, or it has truly lost its full purpose. It seemed though that there was supposed to a be about a one minute clip the Zelenskyy wanted to show at the end there though that we didn't get to see! Why did it cut away at that point?
29
@DAGATHire Not a bot here. Just saying facts.
26
Well done Ukraine. This is very great news. I’ve also heard that apparently the video footage from the drone itself has just been released by the Ukrainian Ministry of defence. Sounds like the counteroffensive is about to kick off. Slava Ukraine
25
Yeah it really doesn't feel like he needs a translator.
24
It’s just so amazing that we’ve been able to achieve something like this with such historic footage. Got to see it first hand for the UK wide live screening and was completed packed in the cinema. Shows what the power of this incredible era can do.
23
I couldn’t agree more. Houses that literally look like junk are being sold as if they were luxury items, and there are so many of them that the price hike just doesn’t make sense.
22
Here here. Their generation ‘truly’ embodied the last of what we considered TRULY quintessentially British. Both in looks, commitment and spirit.
22
Didn’t know about this. They’re absolutely magnificent. Just like the native British Oak tree.
21
Exactly
20
‘Hugging’. It feels so weird to see it now. Well done guys.
20
@S W EXACTLY. I can't believe the US and Polish Gov are actually BICKERING about this, when they already bloody said they'd hand them over. They need them in Ukraine NOW. They wouldn't be acting this childish if it was their own country being attacked.
19
This's just ONE OF THE REASONS WHY we done NOT call the US a civilised country.
19
This is such a terrible event to happen, although still rather suspicious considering his hands were handcuffed behind his back.
19
At least he had the guts to actually say what it was.
19
Your comment makes no sense. Russia is the one who has escalated this along with all of its partner countries. Namely North Korea for one.
18
This's literally the first time I've heard a member of the Royal Family speaking out about this. It's about time and hope the Queen does the same soon.
17
She’s got a job unfortunately and they need as much up-to-date accurate information as possible. It may be stressful but it is beneficial to both sides in the long run.
17
Yep. The only difference is that one was beloved by the majority, and this one is loved by what most of us and the rest of the world would call the further right.
16
Greeeeat to finally see. Just hope the next SNP in Westminster isn’t eeeven worse.
15
Damn these Republicans really are damn well nuts. Really hope what they said isn’t true for some when the election results come in.
15
The simple answer is NO. The UK DOESN’T spend enough on our armed forces. Most of all, NOT ENOUGH SOLDIERS. We the public and aaaall of us with connections to the military have been saying this for a decade. WE NEED TO FIX THIS NOW.
15
Wooow...this’s just an absolutely brilliant way to celebrate leaving the EU. Projecting it right over the White Cliffs of Dover. Such a truly memorable way of doing it. Sure to go down in history just like the one being projected on number 10 Downing Street.😎👌🏼🎉
15
I just really hope that Sweden and Finland are able to join in spite of Turkey. We really need to try and do everything possible to get Turkey back on side and stop being selfish. If it means making certain concessions like handing over certain individuals then that might be a necessary sacrifice, but we need to guarantee those peoples safety as well.
15
They are just trying to figure out what happens and take images for evidence. What else are they supposed to do. Just stand around and do absolutely nothing!?
13
Based on the size and length of the Russian logistical supply chains and the number of Ukrainian forces, I truly do believe that Kyiv will come out victorious on this. On top of the numbers and training game, none of us have any idea what the forces inside the city have planned, but it sure be big. Happy hunting guys. Slava Ukraine
13
@musiclive3635 Not At all. The UK did used to have more regular winter seasons but they were never extreme like what the US is usually used to. None of our plant or animal life, let alone on nationwide infrastructure and houses can cope with that kind of great temperature variations for prolonged periods. It would cause widespread damage, billions in UK taxpayers and probably mass extinctions of many plant types and native animal species. We need to lower our carbon footprint as much as possible in the time we still have in order to try and lower the damage this will cause to us all.
13
The investigation will be loooong with everything that has been seen and filmed, but in the end it will be worth it to bring these people and Putin to justice and allow these poor people rest in peace.
13
She is right that it is now galvanising European nations to actually do something, but at the same time the actions that we should all be doing are nowhere in sight. These weapons will go a huge way in helping the Ukrainian forces both from Britain and Germany, but what they really need are more boots on the ground, ships at sea and fighters in the air.
12
If the film they are making here has soldiers in it that were in the actual conflict, I think it is one that is definitely worth a watch. I hope it is able to be completed and we can watch it before the years end. Thankfully, that is 365 days away. Good luck to them and all of Ukraine in the months ahead.
12
Let’s keep this up people. I’m so proud of all the protesters who were able to make it to the rally in London and around the rest of the country. Hope we will be able to see Volodymyr Zelenskyy tomorrow if he has time. If not, we won’t complain in the slightest. Right now he obviously has more important things to do, but the fact that he tries to take the time at all to address everyone like this is so highly appreciated and will go along way for his country. Where is a country really want to do far more than what our government is letting us do. Both from shipping military supplies to Ukraine on top of our bureaucracy just making it so hard for everyone trying to be housed here.
12
Here here. All of these people complaining are just upset about local issues that they don’t have anyone has a big figure head to complain against, so they just take it out on the Royals. For all the big hype honestly that people like to put on them, although the Royals are super important, they are not people who control the lives of every day citizens. The Commonwealth as a whole brings a lot more of these communities than if they were on their own. What happened in Belize yesterday is hugely disappointing.
12
Brilliant news. We’ve been hoping so for a long time and we really needed some good news like this right now.
