@johnrussell3961 True enough, but they didn't even need to lie, since nobody believed the WMD story, especially since UN weapons inspectors categorically told them there are no WMD's (Hanz Blix, the chief inspector, made it clear to the press, before the war)

"Your sums have got to add up". No, they don't. The Tories just increased the fiscal deficit to an all-time record high, and it didn't cause price inflation (that was caused by 70% hikes in energy prices and 400x increase in BoE rates). She's singing the same BS "costed" tune as Sunak the school destroyer. No fiscal plan needs to be costed because public spending causes little to no price inflation; it literally grows the pie (economy). Public sector spending = private sector income. You'd think a banker would be cognisant of double entry bookkeeping

@TheAArmstrong "Israel/Palestine was supposed to be a multicultural society" ---wrong. it's just a land grab. they never had a single polity representing both sets of people. During Nakba they force marched 700,000 Palestinians out of their homes. Look into the Haavara Agreement. Naz1's worked with zion1st j3ws to emigrate german j3ws in the 1930s. My grandmother is older than the state of Israel. It's an ever-present illegal occupation

The housing shortage is down to companies like BlackRock et al buying up huge swathes of property and turning the country into a land of tenants. They're even buying up university halls of residence! We need non patriots OUT of The Commons

At least 10 million people will vote Tory in the GE

@kieran2842 They weren't politically unified until much closer to 1000AD. The point remains: non indigenous

@kieran2842 I get it, just added even more, and wanted to make sure any onlookers didn't get the wrong idea. Cheers

@neutral.news.official CBC News, Oct 28, 2023:- "A year later, Netanyahu was further embarrassed when photos of suitcases full of cash going to Hamas became public. Liberman finally resigned in protest over Netanyahu's Hamas policy which, he said, marked "the first time Israel is funding terrorism against itself." Netanyahu's education minister Naftali Bennett also denounced the payments, and also quit."

@eddiecalderone "The fact is that Israel against numerous Arab nations was victorious. Always" -- Never without the world's only superpower. Israeli offensives cannot last more than 3 days without US support. Everything being spat out of iron dome, or fired from a Merkava tank comes from America. Israel is the only nation that could not sustain itself without very generous externally sourced gifts; intrinsically unsustainable, and now they have wrecked their own normalisation agenda with the middle eastern countries. The writing is on the wall for the status quo
1
@eddiecalderone I doubt that very much, since the USA has dozens of bases all over the Middle East, making Israel's role a costly redundancy: "Every time anyone says that Israel is our only friend in the Middle East, I can't help but think that before Israel, we had no enemies in the Middle East." -- John Sheehan, S.J.
1
@eddiecalderone Israel is not a functioning democracy; its leader is in power despite numerous pending criminal charges going back to 2019. It's likely he goes to prison after ceding/losing power
1
@eddiecalderone it's no democracy. Netanyahu has been criminally indicted and continues to be in power

The fiscal “deficit” is actually private sector income (double entry accounting). The money for fiscal spending was not borrowed and is thus not owed. The two magic money trees (BoE and HM Treasury) work fine when financing the bombing the middle east, but not for nationalisation, infrastructure, NHS, or education. Must be a trick to this, guys?

@Dynasty1818 your ilk are dead and buried politically. i mean, the tories seem to be an anti Govt, Govt. They should go make an anarcho capitalist commune somewhere and stop mucking up civilisation

he dont half look SHIFTY!

@BritishAfrican USA is over extended and arrogant. They can no longer hold positions 4000 miles from their coastline. USA backed Israel can't defeat rag tag two bit militia, nor can USA open the routes that Yemen blocked. Tide has turned

@chrisj9700 "Where’s the money going to come from to nationalise it?" - you don't understand how parliamentary money bills work. the money for fiscal spending is printed out of thin air. That's ALL PUBLIC SECTOR SPENDING. There should be a compulsory purchase order and a sacking of the whole board/executive management with no golden parachutes (they failed!)

@dannylad1600 why doesnt a european country lodge a case over a war in Europe? at least gaza straddles a border with Africa
