***** Believing that every professional needs to drop everything to answer your enquiries is antisocial.

His Divine Shadow If that's true, then tell me what you can infer by the fact that he didn't bring up a tangential point in this video.
1
His Divine Shadow Your quote: "not answering questions will speak volumes by itself." So if you emailed him and asked, and he didn't respond, what would it mean?
1
His Divine Shadow So a tenuous suggestion of dishonesty is "volumes". If we're all to be held to the same standard, aren't we as citizens just as bad for being complicit with this?

Wow, what a load of crap. Coding isn't some arcane innate ability like magic, it's taught the way everything else is. Guess what? People who have never looked at a line of maths would also probably have problems with an equation.
1
So did you guys get kicked out of that restaraunt finally?
1
If it was true, it wouldn't be fake news.

Something I've noticed in my time at school/college etc, the art department always uses Macs. Anybody know why that is?
1
Oh wow, this guy! I was a huge fan of the FF books, I had no idea he got into games!
1
Does Tom not have an office or something? Or just he just have a really big office with a cafe inside it?
1
The thumbnail for this is pure genius

I might have misunderstood this but I think he's talking about theoretical "perfect" computation.

I would totally subscribe to a channel where Brady sits and gets his mind repeatedly blown by videogames. It's nice to see somebody play a game with no expectations, which you don't often see with videogame channels.

Is that a jar of honey on the shelf behind Phil I'm okay with this

I recently covered this topic at college, blew my mind. Even a calculator is pretty complicated, so the devices we use today are just impossible to truly concieve of.

This is seriously cool, also YEAH LUCIDA CONSOLE
1
I like this guy!
1
Brady, what I want to find out about is what's going on with your crazy colourful keyboard down there.
1
Your brain models reality just fine, so it must necessarily be possible.

This is a good point, but there's no reason why funding has to be provided through advertising only. In fact the internet would be a much better place if we could pay for it another way. Take the nottinghamscience and *phile channels for example. These videos are Bradys (and now Sean's!) job, so they aren't obligated to be obnoxious and mug for the camera in order to get more views. Websites funded through sales or donations have nicer site design too.

Wasn't there a kickstarter to fund a remake of Elite? The "space trader" genre got pretty big, with the X series especially.
1
I like this guy! For anybody who wants to hear more about the ramifications of cyberwar, I recommend listening to Mikko Hypponen, who has a bunch of speeches here on youtube!
1
Loving this increasingly-consolidated future we're heading to that offers few benefits in exchange for a seemingly limitless number of headaches!
1
I'd agree, and I'd like to add that more abstract things like how programming languages are designed would be very interesting to me. Well-presented so far though! Computing is full of little concepts and jargon that really need to be understood by people in general.
