>nonpolitical video about software >mass dislikes Tell me again how there isn't a problem with racism in this channel's audience
23
Sorry but DNA science etc is actually SJW territory, since it scares off racists.

Am actual amazed at how many unionists are pure ragin at the FM for being pro-indy Mebbe if the tories weren't so driven to slaughter their ain folk, we widna be wantin tae leave? This isna even that political, some o us just dinna want tae fukin die, and independence is the only way tae stay alive.

+Orton Next None of the poor people I have met owned crystal vases. None of them had 36% credit cards. They were living in the smallest homes in town. Guess what? If you have to fantasise and make up wild stories just to justify your hatred of poor people...maybe it's not possible to justify it at all?
23
Since this obviously is against the interests of the USA and the people within it..isn't the FBI guilty of treason or terrorism? It's so bizarre.
22
We're talking about the illegal exploitation of fines to jail people, that's a far bigger crime than parking for 5 minutes longer than you were meant to. I'm going to repeat myself, what the police are doing is illegal. And its MORE illegal than people getting tickets. Oh, you think it's worth abusing poor people to put a dozen drug dealers away? Well...you're wrong, I don't know how else to say it.
22
Could only make it about halfway through this one, it's just rambling. "People cheat because they think they deserve to be happy", and she said that with a straight face?
22
Happens every time a woman takes the stage
22
Hey just so you guys know, hundreds of women have disappeared from these concentration camps and the authorities refuse to tell their lawyers where they are.
22
+baychevy here Whites have many identities. Irish, French, German, Norwegian, etc Nobody said they can't. White supremacists have a habit of pretending otherwise though, but they are liars and you should not believe them.
22
This is the best use of graphics in a TED talk yet
22
You didn't watch the video.
22
>still blaming soros Lmao
22
I have a contention with somebody claiming to have been educated while talking such utter drivel. None of these people chose their ethnicity. But bigots choose to hate them. You can't blame the victim here. Do books focus on your German and Norwegian ancestors? Yes, in Germany and Norway respectively. But you're in North America right now so guess what that means, buddy? Your history books should be focusing on the people who lived there. Tell me something, when the Soviet troops marched into Finland, do you think telling the Finns "Gee guys, sure would be a lot safer if you just left that part of Finland and let the Russians have it!" would have gotten a good reaction? No? So why do you think these people specifically have to do whatever invaders tell them?
22
Pointing out that the USA has a broken jail system and that the police are abusing it to illegally jail people isn't leftist, it isn't "anti-western" and it isn't "anti white". You're a liar.
21
Creativity is a fundamental part of problem solving, which is 100% necessary in STEM. Anybody, even a robot can perform basic tasks, if you want to stand out or actually be good at this subject, you need a little of everything. (Also they're kids dude lighten up)
20
Try watching the video next time, champ
19
The difference is that space would improve if you cleaned it :DDDD
19
Anthropology/sociology/psychology are sciences.
19
@caitgems1 "People who don't vote for my party of choice need to be sterilised" Yeah sit down Adolf
19
If communists ran universities, it wouldn't cost so goddamn much to enrol. But yeah, nazis are the real problem, professors aren't killing people in the streets.
19
You first
18
Are you seriously complaining that a woman is talking about space
18
Yeah I hate thinking too
18
I can't help but wonder if an economic system that cannot provide for the people within it, and cannot even sustain its own existence, should be rebuilt at all. There are better alternatives, maybe we should try them instead of slaughtering human beings for profit?
18
Yeah, felt like he was pulling his punches the whole way.
17
But nothing she said was wrong, was it?
17
+Quiet Fox A massive contingent of the subscribers here like to whine at every upload, I guess it's cathartic for them.
17
There's a lot of "how" and a lot of "what", but there's no much "why" here. Why should I break down the filter bubble? Why should I make friends with those other people? They want to slaughter the poor, they want to enable genocide, they want millions to die and tens of millions to be displaced because of climate change. I don't want these people to be my friends.
17
I don't think you've looked into this, adpocolypse was caused by advertisers leaving youtube, and youtube trying to negotiate to keep them. Shadow banning? Censorship? Doesn't this very speech explain why none of that is even necessary for pushing idealogies?
17
Can society afford to mentally damage human beings via social isolation and allow them back into society? What matters more, a world with less crime or a world where criminals become worse instead of better?
17
"Look at this picture of my kitchen, I can't see a single germ or bacteria in it! Scientists are lying to us all!"
16
"Woah, the POLICE are breaking the law? That sounds political, I better complain"
16
I know we don't like art here in the comments, but this isn't half bad. It's not pretentious, and it's about things important to a lot of people. It might not be important to you, but not all art has to be. And yeah yeah, TED is meant to be about science etc...but come on, it's a four-minute talk. He's not wasting a 20-min slot.
16
I swear, you guys get triggered if somebody even acknowledges the female gender or the existence of ethnic minorities. Grow up.
16
Why wouldn't emotion be relevant in this topic? Appealing to emotion is only wrong in subjects where emotion is not a factor. Failure to empathise is part of the problem here.
15
I think step 2 should go before step one
15
She never said that conservatives are racist, you're being very defensive here. She's just saying that conservatives are more likely to want to watch this content.
15
Interesting that both of you have abandoned the claim that "socialism is the real problem right now" in favour of "socialism doesn't work and capitalism is best". I mean I can refute both claims, so it's not like you're avoiding anything here.
15
Jokes on you, education is key to social justice Ah ha ha ha
14
British people don't want less immigration because of culture though, they want less immigration because the tabloids tell them to hate immigration. That's it.
14
Hey Jack, glad to see you're asking the right questions! So I looked into this, and it turns out that the law of any given nation is officially meant to be equally enforced! In other words, your intelligence or other innate qualities do not exempt you from either the protection or the enforcement of the law! Isn't that awesome? Also, if you really wanna dive deep into this, turns out that one's intelligence isn't actually indicative of their proficiency in cybersecurity! So even a smart person can get hacked if they haven't been keeping up to date on the latest developments in cybercrime. Even spookier, turns out you can get hacked even if you never do anything wrong or dangerous! Hackers can just target a weaker link in the chain!
14
Conservative logic: Only liberals would even think of looking at how other countries deal with their problems.
14
What's so miraculous about it? All mammals do it. It's not special.
14
To suggest that children of single parents are 'broken' is maybe the dumbest thing you've written, and considering you're a troll account that's saying something.
14
He says you need to be willing to give up your seat if necessary, and that's good, but you also need to be willing to give up your party if necessary. The GOP is beyond redemption.
14
Yeah, and I just corrected you. So you can go back to not believing it now. Seriously though, it's obvious that it stemmed from societies where monogamy was strictly enforced. That's not evolutionary, because that's not how humans evolved.
14
Maybe Clinton uses a different company
13
Did Did you watch the video
13
The main difference between 1964 and 2014 is that the DEFINITION for autism has widened. In the old days you had to have something seriously wrong with you to be considered autistic, now you just need to be slightly eccentric. Our kids haven't changed much, but how we label them has. But child mortality rates are WAY down compared to what they used to be, so there's no complaining there.
