  2.  @lunium5  If you look at the sources for this video you can see they come from "Our World In Data" - which is funded by some of the richest people on earth (they admit this on their site at least). Why would I trust somebody who could save so many lives, but who doesn't want to? Why would I trust them about saving the planet?

Instead of asking me questions, why not ask yourself who specifically decided nuclear weapons were necessary, and why? Ever notice how it's only ever one class of person that thinks we need the ability to wipe out millions of people on the other side of the world? Ever consider what might happen if society was structured in a way that didn't give these people absolute power?

  34. One reason is that the bombs used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are significantly weaker than nuclear weapons of today. Also, both cities had yet to be fully industrialised and had less modern buildings/infrastructure. To model what would really happen today, we need to think about cities as they currently exist.
