well, maritime implies ocean. any oceans on the moon? no? there's your answer.
1
might not be the case for much longer. new dark matter detector was recently completed.
1
that's a "you" problem.
1
another elon fanboy fantasist. why don't you actually take a look at how realistic/cost effective REAL engineers think Elon's plans are. He's a friggen conman.
1
"herp derp, herp derp."
1
why do you even care. you're not a scientist. you might as well call our sun a black hole too.
1
yes, methane is relatively unreactive, much like water. you can theoretically use it as a carrier of other gases. just keep it away from oxygen... and there is no free oxygen on Titan so... yeah.
1
was covered in the media about 3 years ago... then never again. Musk has been trying to influence the politics of other countries to get cheap lithium for over a decade now. he has ALWAYS sided with right wing authoritarians in these efforts. Musk is not the hero so many think he is. he's nothing but a narcissist.
1
if you could put your tongue on it, it would instantly freeze and disintegrate.
1
elon has terrible management problems, and wastes far FAR more money than the US govt ever has. Going private with the space program was the worst thing the US has done for space exploration... ever.
1
@JohnGardnerAlhadis only someone with no knowledge of the history of Tesla and Musk would say something like that... so if he is a boomer, you are little more than an infant.
1
@JohnGardnerAlhadis as if that had any relevance to anything. mine is a friggin "T".
1
@worfoz well, that gives spiteful sociopaths hope, I guess.
1
it's a shame you are so utterly delusional not to see it isn't "the left" doing that. it's you.
1
you are aptly nymed.
1
can't.
1
gravity: it's everywhere.
1
so much for the modern one too.
1
@JMJ-k8f God didn't do the years of study required to learn my talent. mostly because it doesn't exist.
1
uh.. it doesn't? hubble cannot show us something the size of pluto in a different galaxy.
1
@lordoffleabottom136 easily fixed: 1. go outside on a sunny day at noon. 2. look up.
1
get an adblocker.
1
there are a least half a dozen sci fi movies I can recall that show things falling into black holes. even Disney movies. maybe you just aren't old enough to have seen them?
1
"based on evolutionary theory" WTF? lol you're a moron.
1
incorrect. if anything, musk's flailings are slowing everything down. worst thing the US ever did to space exploration was to privatize it. stop playing the game of the neoliberals. they have screwed everything up.
1
do you even have a point?
1
there literally is no such thing as centrifugal force. basic frosh physics man. you should know better if you want to argue this point.
1
there is an argument to be made that the profits generated from the disposable economy are what has generated most of our newer technologies.
1
@SicariiDTenebris probably not. I can't really say.
1
are you off your meds again? tsk tsk.
1
there is no free oxygen on Titan, hence... no way to combust anything.
1
does it matter?
1
we have no direct, or even indirect evidence of that though. It remains a simple assumption based on numbers. a very plausible assumption, but until we actually discover ANY evidence at all, still an assumption. same as any concept of the existence of any deity, though more plausible.
1
wtf is "disrespectful" about it? it's just a classification. do you get upset if someone changes the genus a specific fish belongs to?
1
you weep for the fact that we have so much promise, but we choose instead to blow each other up?
1
they don't always face the same direction, because they are not always transmitting.
