@RobertEWaters "Libertarianism is not the same thing as sociopathy." I've looked. It actually IS the same thing nowdays. people who actually WERE libertarian at the beginning of the last century... also were mostly ignorant narcissists and sociopaths.
7
@zenithperigee7442 because it is about saturation levels. think of a glass you are slowly filling with water: you can fill it and fill it and fill it, and absolutely nothing is wrong right up until the point where it spills over the edge. takes a long time to get significant levels of mercury poisoning at low concentrations.
7
I love how all you people have literally written this guy's life story, based on thirdhand partial information you saw in a video about kidney failure from ingesting ethylene glycol. I would fucking hate to be your neighbor.
6
@nigeldepledge3790 Paltrow surely DOES do botulinin injections. would not surprise me in the least.
6
"It’s over now at least" uhh.... nope. not even close.
6
@Vexas345 "You all had these terrible symptoms and the doctor told you to double up the dose? Yeah, something isn't adding up here." no, this is not uncommon advice for drugs which interrupt certain neurotransmitters, or interrupt uptake. same with antidepressants. a lot of time, negative side effects can actually be reduced or entirely avoided by INCREASING the dose. modern medicines are complex, and you can't make ignorant assumptions like a low dose will have lower side effects than a larger one.
5
@Vexas345 "and the doctor said either double the dose or gtfo?" no, the doctor said the side effects may go away if they doubled the dose, and the PATIENT said "GTFO". I had horrific migraines from taking a single daily dose of a specific antidepressant. doc doubled the dose... side effects went bye bye. like I said, many meds have very complex interactions.
5
Chase, I say you're fake. prove me wrong.
5
could have ended much worse.
5
@GM-ft9ec you first then. you first.
5
@DD-jg8xr nah, it's an old proverb: "Those that smelt it, probably dealt it."
5
@donkey7921 "you want racism? Go to China, Japan, or any Eastern European country." nice bit of whataboutism there. useless git.
4
nice bit of standup. kinda rubbed me the wrong way though...
4
it requires the ability to think critically to think for yourself. something you lost long ago, if you ever had it.
4
this family's demise had NOTHING to do with whether or not they put the food in the fridge, or how long it was frozen. this is why I dislike Chubby's vids; they often focus on exactly the WRONG thing.
4
@iankrasnow5383 Don't trust what Cody says any further than you think you could throw him. really really. He has severe psychological issues. It always shocks me so few seem to notice, even though he has talked about them on occasion. In fact, why trust ANY youtube video? jesus christ, why not actually research stuff YOURSELF?? it isn't hard.
4
sure Pepe, sure. LOL
4
@alexmercer936 "Most people who don’t trust doctors don’t do this shit." that still means most people are horrendously stupid. especially ones that ignore science.
4
@wasabista1613 "I've been taking ten grams of vitamin C a day for years. Beneficial and harmless. " harmless? yes. beneficial? nope. never has been ANY evidence that humans need more than the vit c you get from eating a balanced diet. none.
4
@han3wmanwukong125 "Dude was literally falling apart consuming things idiotically, but was like "oh, but those sneaky doctors"" I see this exact same "logic" with Trump supporters. it's insanity. these people need serious mental health care.
4
@nanokhuma419 "250,000 on average die yearly from medical malpractice, doctors aren't infallible." in the US? seems a bit high, but even if it is just the US, you have to compare that to the 25 MILLION that don't.
4
@comsicartisan7700 the parents threw out the antibiotics, which were the main treatment to cure the ulcer.
4
"Lord knows, during this day and age we all need real men that are men and the women are glad of it" what the fuck does this even mean?
4
You need serious help. Really.
4
in June, the fatality rate in the US from covid infection was 6%. that's the FATALITY rate, not inclusive of the rate of people with serious long lasting complications from the infection, which is much, much higher. stop being a fucking moron. for sanity's sake if not your own.
3
@patrikgajcevic8123 "This isn't a real case, it's a joke" you should try listening better and making up stuff yourself... a lot less. Chubby's vids are ALWAYS stripped from real case files he has read or from his own patients. they are no joke.
3
@Phobos_Anomaly PTSD is a real thing for sure. Can be caused by something as seemingly "minor" as a hard breakup even.
3
no. not the same at all, and metallic mercury is pretty nonreactive. that's why dentists still use it combined with silver to make fillings for your teeth.
3
@Richie_Alpha_Rabbit69 seek some therapy. seriously.
3
@troywallace7011 " Imagine getting brainwashed and bragging about it." I don't have to imagine it, I see conservatives do this every day, multiple times a day. and afterwards, they happily project that it's actual rational people doing this and not themselves. I even know WHY they do it, and it still makes me double-take, every time.
3
@PolyphonicSigma you really ARE insufferable. do all women a favour... never get married.
3
sigh this is why people need to take basic chemistry in high school. NONE of those compounds you mentioned are at all the same. it's like saying you ate table salt, so sodium and chlorine must be perfectly safe to eat too. no, the mercury in your fillings is an amalgam of mercury and silver and is quite stable. you will never EVER absorb a significant amount of mercury from that. thimerosol is used as a preservative and again, not only is it used in tiny tiny amounts, but it does not have the same reactivity as dimethyl mercury. not the same things, at all. " how tf is my brain ok u sure its not damage cuz I think it is tbh.." I think your brain is damaged too, but it has fuckall to do with your damn fillings or vaccines.
3
@tukhanh2812 he even showed an explicit diagram of its molecular structure. I swear, a lot of the commenters in this page must have absolutely terrible reading comprehension. I cannot count the number of people who publicly announced their own ignorance by thinking this was metallic mercury. it's like people thinking that since table salt is safe to eat, the it must of course be safe to eat sodium and chlorine!
3
and he likely was fine. elemental mercury is relatively nonreactive, which is why it is used with silver in tooth fillings.
3
@the_furry_inside_your_walls639 no. being educated opens up possibilities for you that otherwise would simply not exist. remediating ignorance means you have the ability to see things you simply could not before. it is NEVER a bad thing.
3
1. thimerosol is a COMPOUND of mercury, and is not mercury itself. 2. it was used in tiny, tiny amounts as a preservative for decades, and not just in vaccines. 3. it has been proven to be safe for as long as it has been in use. hundreds of independent studies to verify this. 4. it hasn't been used in vaccines for over 25 years, and then not in all vaccines, just some variants of the MMR vaccine. 5. run along, you dumbass.
3
not if you pay attention to the facts... like they did in court... and the correct result was that the officer was convicted. nothing political about it, except that pushed by police apologists.
3
the parents literally THREW OUT medicine they had already paid for though. sorry, but this was pure idiocy.
3
there is no guarantee that you will get immunity from that, or any of the subsequent strains. data is still out on that.
3
no. because it wasn't the fungus that was the problem, it was the fungus' metabolic products, which had already saturated the coconut water.
2
so, if I showed you a video of sodium reacting so violently with water it causes a significant explosion... that would mean you are never going to eat table salt again, right?
2
nope. the organic mercury would have bound quite tightly to her neural cells. that's why it caused problems.
2
do you think water wants to drown people?
2
@s7r49 "An entire industry (because military is an industry) funded by only 4x the budget a single city gives to help" ffs, stop lying you hysterical asshat.
2
underrated comment.
2
that deserves a dad joke +1
2
she was the first one to discover latex gloves did not prevent penetration. so uh... no.
2
oh god, it's been over 30 years and i still have flashbacks about ramen noodles.
2
1. thimerosol is a preservative that has been used in medicines and foodstuffs for literally decades, with zero issues. 2. it is used in very very tiny amounts. 3. it had been tested thoroughly long before it was ever used in vaccines. literally hundreds of studies. 4. they even stopped using it in vaccines over 25 years ago, and it was only used in SOME vaccine variants even when it was used. the only reason they stopped was because of tired old complaints from idiots like yourself, and they simply switched to a different preservative to make YOU happy. but of course, nothing makes idiots like you happy, because you don't pay any attention to reality. 5. there has NEVER been any study or mechanism of causation even suggested in the literature as to how thimerosol could cause long term health issues, as it quickly passes from your body through urine, which dimethyl mercury does not. 6. run along you absolute tosser.
2
and it may increase again. already have been 4 major variants in the last year.
