@chryssesandchaos Is it possible that you're looking at it from your own personal perspective rather than looking at it from a neutral point of view? I'm not sure how many introverts would enjoy going out socializing 3 times a week and give TV interviews.

@douglasmatthew4884 💯
15
@jaysteve4442 Right? It's just tragic and wrong all the way around.
15
Same here. I'm so mad!! The jurors sounded rather dumb and somehow changed everyone else's minds... just because an officer moved the gun. That has no bearing on the rest of the evidence AT ALL. The rest of their reasons don't matter. They were nonsensical.
14
So true.
14
In this case, it was one judge. Police were already evaluating the scene upon arrival. The first judge's hands were tied and had to call a mistrial. The second judge didn't show "corruption", but should never have been on the bench in the first place.
14
Because they're no better.
14
Exactly.
14
She shouldn't have kept answering the phone. Zero boundaries.
13
She was cheating, too. And, to be frank, she had no business being a nurse. She was steps away from having access to lots of medication.
13
To be fair though, there has to be undeniable evidence in order to make an arrest. Plus, sometimes people make things up and there's often no way of knowing the difference. That must be absolutely terrifying and maddening for those who really need the protection.
13
@deenaeast7006 That was an odd statement to me. A lady happened to be walking her dog, which was somehow proof of divine intervention. Where was "God" when Jayme's parents were murdered IN FRONT OF HER? How about when she was kidnapped and held against her will??
13
The best prevention: a solid self-esteem and awareness of psychopathy/ personality disorders.
13
These crime stories can be warnings to take proper precautions and look out for ourselves. However, warnings are almost never mentioned. It's taboo to do so.
12
@chryssesandchaos No, I'm not looking at it from my point of view. I'm looking at it from a normal societal point of view. It's not that I'm bothered by it. It's that it is odd. I have no stake in the situation. It might be her way of distancing herself from what happened. I don't know, but it's not a normal thing to say.
12
@sweetestsweet7451 Wow. Interesting reply. I'm pointing out the effect that childhood trauma can have on brains. We have no idea if he didn't commit crimes during those times. Maybe there were circumstances that prevented him from carrying out certain actions, or maybe he traveled around so as not to create a serial profile. Whatever the case, he didn't change. He's still lying and manipulating people. If you talk to any psychologist, you'll hear the same thing.
12
@Whosyourdaddy21 You don't think hiring a babysitter or staying with your children on a family vacation rather than leaving them every night in an unlocked room in a foreign country was an option? Pedophiles act on convenience, and they provided easy access.
12
No gods showed up to protect those kids or keep them safe. They barely got themselves out and all have very deep scars. I can't help but notice that believers don't think much of their gods. If there was any higher power at play, then why did they have to work so hard to get out, yet they all ended up with PTSD? Some of them tried to numb the nightmares with alcohol and drugs. To thank God is actually minimizing the severe trauma they all experienced. It's actually rather cruel and lacks empathy and compassion.
12
@boroughgal4146 Of course, she went along with her attorney's plan. It's not like she didn't know what he was going to do.
12
@TheNinnyfee What do you mean? Did he find her to be loving?
12
I couldn't agree more.
11
I wish all of these reports included warnings about red flags. I have never once seen a true crime channel that educates the public about what to watch out for, how to protect yourself, etc. Why???
11
But her testimony was needed in order to put him away. Otherwise, they would both be out free. It's so wrong, but it is the better of two evils.
11
@uzibah4889 Why are you disappointed at her sons? There was a lot of evidence that pointed toward her. You have to know how to read between the lines.
11
The DA does a disservice to society by stating that Levi is just evil, and his upbringing didn't play a part here. It would be valuable for society to understand how upbringing has the greatest influence in a child's life. She said that other people have endured worse but didn't end up being murderers. Right, but everyone isn't identical, Lynn. Everyone is affected differently. There are many factors to consider, including personality. There are positive changes that can be made to cut down on the number of abused and neglected children.
11
@Glamdolly30 That wasn't even necessary. If they wanted to go out alone with their friends on occasion, there was a daycare facility right there on the grounds. They also had the option of hiring a babysitter. Instead, they chose to neglect their children and put them in harms way. I just read part of your second comment and am not sure that's accurate. ALL of the couples left their children alone, so it wasn't just Gerry deciding that. If Kate didn't feel comfortable leaving them, she could have stayed back. She also could have insisted on locking the door and not allegedly giving them sleeping medication.
11
@chrispankey4640 I'm not convinced of that. It seems more likely that she brought out the worst in him. He was exasperated. She, on the other hand, is toxic to the core.
11
@mamarobyn Same. I would want to ensure that there were no future victims.
11
@vcheekv I haven't heard anything about Tylee being in and out of the hospital and can't find anything on line. Would you mind briefly explaining what you've heard or point me in the direction of where it is described? I'd appreciate it.
11
Well, you summed it up pretty well. 👍
10
I've survived that, too. I lost all of my friends. All narcissists care about is themselves.
10
@Flyrabbit1 That doesn't really matter, but it's believed that she had help from either her daughter or a ranch hand.
10
Hired help.
10
@synthiamcbride7194 We don't know if he found out. Many people tell their love interest that they're separated or near divorce. Basically, we don't know and shouldn't assume. It obviously meant a lot to him.
10
When I was young, just about everyone's personal information was available in the phone book.
10
I thought she might have been instructed to wear it since she was giving a formal testimony. That should have been explained in the video.
10
Science keeps getting better and better. It's incredible. 💜
10
Dusty is an amazing man. My heart goes out to him and his parents. What a total nightmare. 💔😥💔
10
It's good to keep in mind that about 98% of "missing persons" and up resurfacing. Also, there likely would have been different officers who handle missing persons cases and drug cases, so that's really not an accurate picture being painted. It's very easy and popular to condemn law enforcement with a broad brush, but these things can be looked at more logically. We don't know why the results of that test went unopened. We can't even guess. What we do know is that the detective that helped to solve the case was all-in.
10
@jenjen.rutherford8559 While that might generally be true, it's not valuable if the parent is a narcissistic manipulator. I know from experience. It's incredibly damaging.
9
@edoboleyn There is no evidence to support that theory. But, at the very least, they were negligent by leaving their children alone in an unlocked apartment. They got a lot of hate because they never took responsibility for that.
9
He did everything in his power to cover it up. Despicable human being.
9
These videos are very well done. They're concise and easy to follow.
9
@hollydaugherty2620 It's the way things work. There is no perfect system, unfortunately.
9
The police officers and prosecutors in this case were outstanding. Their hearts and effort were completely committed. What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to Diana's family and friends. The only "positive" thing in this case is that Mike Jones is behind bars forever. Of course that isn't enough, but it's the best outcome considering the devastating circumstances.
9
@lang-ed3bk Again, we have no idea if he knew she was still married. There was no indication that he had known.
9
I can't stand her. She comes across as not really human. She looks angry but also blank ALL the time.
9
@visualsofthestorm We all have our likes and dislikes. I avoid the videos when she is hosting, and I'm not alone.
9
@mermaid30019 So you're saying that God is incapable of intervening?
9
@marciethompson3846 What data are you referring to? There are more crimes committed in low income areas. Therefore, there are more solved cases in those same areas.
