I'm shocked that the parents are allowed to chat with each other. No one takes the fool at the end seriously. 🙄

Julia is the first reporter I've heard who described the bucket properly - she said he had to urinate and defacate in it. Everyone else says he "used the bathroom". No, it's not a bathroom. They should say it accurately.

I'm sorry to say, but this teacher comes across as not only distracted but also rather unprofessional and unintelligent. It's like she's chatting with friends or something. I'm not suggesting that she was being dishonest, but she did not appear to be taking this as seriously as court should be taken.

He was severely brainwashed. It will take a lot of therapy to heal from such extreme abuse.

Unbelievable how no one called for help. There is no excuse. Anyone can call anonymously. They live in a terrible area and are only making it worse. I don't even want to imagine what kind of household John and Suzanne grew up in to where they would turn out like this. Suzanne preyed on poor Richard and he didn't see it coming. He deserved so much better. What a tragedy. I wonder who raised the kids.

Nicole: "I, I, I, I...." She sounds like a high school student after a break up with her boyfriend. Where is the concern for the children?!?!
90
Imagine if he had called her "old and fat". People would come unglued.
75
Personally, she deserves LWOP. She not only committed premeditated murder, but she also put her children through unnecessary trauma and lifelong pain. Shame on her!!!
63
The judge is milking his big moment for all he's got. 🙄
60
What a relief!! Michael can't come back. but Natalie will pay for her actions.
39
She loves being in the spotlight and loves hearing herself talk. Does anyone else find it annoying when she keeps saying "yes" when her attorney is simply bringing up a topic? Then she practically repeats the question with every drawn out answer. Ugh! I couldn't listen to half of this.
36
Corey had pretty amazing form and was running with ease at first. Evidently, that wasn't good enough for his father. He had to make it literally impossible for his son to keep up. What a sick and twisted mind. Poor little Corey. 💔😢💔
35
I totally agree. Everyone receiving and sharing the photos is complicit.
35
I couldn't understand a word besides her yelling "Jordan!" and him yelling "Carter!"
34
What in the world is this girl's backstory? My gosh!!
34
@jamielehman4934 No, but it's very disturbing and concerning.
33
Exactly what I noticed. It's all, "I, I, I..."
31
That's a key element here.
26
That's the worst feeling in the world.
25
@ashleykeith9204 It likely stems from childhood abuse. Amber took over from where his mother left off. Most addicts experienced childhood trauma.
25
Absolutely. She brainwashed Paul his entire life. I can't help but sympathize with him and, at the same time, support him being held accountable for his unconscionable actions. He was also abused. Shanda is a very sick and twisted woman.
23
No matter what the cause, she neglected to call 911 when he was in a coma. At the very least, she's guilty of something.
23
This defense attorney is so incredibly unlikable, which is the mildest complaint I have about him.
22
This is absolutely heartbreaking. It's just incredibly sad to think that Michael was purposely hit like that. I'm just sitting here shaking my head. His daughter's compassionate words are a sign of the kind of person he was. My heart goes out to the family. 💔
21
@sararummel8767 What gives you that idea? From day one, she came across very sincere, showed a lot of emotion and worked with police to try to get him to give information.
20
This is disturbing on so many levels. My heart goes out to Colby and all who are suffering in Lori's wake.
20
@kit-1845 "A mistake"? That was straight up neglect.
18
There's no reason to.
17
I wonder how the wife feels about this whole thing. While he's solely responsible for the murder, her actions played a part in the motive.
17
He's void of human empathy.
17
They were way too young and innocent to be out there alone. 😢
17
@rilenixx 95% of the comments here support Crystal. While I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone, it's simply dishonest to view her in a totally positive way.
16
Life is so incredibly unfair. 💔😢💔
16
@isaachawthorne2795 I get that, but there's a big difference between representing someone and literally trying to get them off. That attorney was annoying in top of it. I couldn't sleep at night.
16
@DJ-gc6fj Exactly my point. Whatever he may have done at school does not negate the fact that he was locked in a small room. No matter what he may or may not have done does not justify abuse.
15
The claim is that she assaulted him, knowing his vast medical issues.
14
Poor Charles. 😢
14
@Clintstagram Well, I used to be a stylist, so I can't help but notice those things. I love her outfit, though.
14
Just for the sole reason of him requesting cameras, I'd rather it not be televised. I totally agree with these people. There are reasons, none of which are genuine and good.
14
@Alx_geneva Even if someone has a predisposition for a mental disorder, there is almost always a trigger of some kind for it to develop fully. There's a 99.999% chance that Shanda had a traumatic childhood as well.
13
Shame on her for putting the children through this! When he said that his father abused steroids and was responsible for his death, that's when I got angry. She lied to them and brainwashed them to believe all of that bs.
13
Or, more accurately, deranged.
12
That was after a very long time of choosing drugs over her children. Those are just facts. It's really not fair to only look at the end of the story.
12
Excellent.
12
As a non-adoptive parent, I recognize that there are zero excuses for the mistreatment. 99% of the viewers understand this. It's crazy.
12
I didn't hear any evidence that he was actually using steroids.
12
I totally agree.
11
It sure seems like the entire family was in denial. She was most likely spoiled and enabled her whole life.
11
I also saw another guy on his phone DURING the trial. Crazy. We're not even allowed to have a phone on in family court. I don't get it.
11
No concern for the child. Unconscionable and unforgiveable.
