I do, too, although they did lie for their mother.

I've experienced countless times where doctors didn't listen and didn't understand the complex medical conditions that my kids and I have. Chronic illnesses (auto immune) run in my family. Most doctors don't understand type 1 diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, EDS, etc. It's maddening.

@breezywilson760 The point is that they handled the situation horribly. The boy's actions are a separate issue. They had no business being in charge of him. While there are no guarantees, chances are better for him to be taken elsewhere. They were not equipped for properly dealing with issues like that.

My heart goes out to Beth and to all who loved Natalee.
10
She might have tried to get clean, but being honest about the situation, she chose drugs over her children. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone, but it's simply unfair to describe her with all positive words.
10
I can't believe the mother is allowed to sit in on this trial!
10
@beverlylargent5580 While her father is totally responsible for killing her, the mother was also partly responsible for putting her in harm's way. Most people say she's a victim, but she chose drugs over her children.
9
@Cathy-xi8cb I was talking about calling police anonymously.
9
I haven't heard anyone defend the couple's actions so far. Have you?
9
Despicable and unconscionable.
9
Except this leak basically came from the defense themselves.
9
@blitzmom2674 And, to be accurate, it wasn't a "time out room" anyway. He basically lived in there unless he was doing chores or going to school according to his testimony. Being locked in with no access to water or a bathroom isn't a consequence; it's abuse.
9
@Homepaddocksfarm Yeah, that was ridiculous. Clearly, she could have easily gotten child care.
9
I constantly see support for Crystal. But she chose drugs over all of her children. She isn't innocent here. A lot of details are always left out of these clips.
9
It's not like they asked for it. Kind of a strange comment.
9
@bobe3250 I'm not sure which eye witness you're referring to. There were many mentioned who said the man was in the wrong. The fact that he had injuries doesn't automatically mean she was the cause. This is the first I've heard of the case. I have seen so many assumptions in this comment section. It's best to wait until more evidence is released before jumping to conclusions.
9
Of course not, but that doesn't mean that she didn't initiate the argument, assault him, and refuse to leave when asked... all while knowing his fragile health state.

@carolavanmeenen9917 What a relief that your daughter was okay. People don't realize that the vast majority of the time in missing persons cases, it's just miscommunication. That panicked feeling is horrible. I'm glad your case had a happy ending!
8
@jessicaanderson3379 There might be a tiny percentage of people who are born psychopaths. There is almost always trauma and abuse involved.
8
No, it wasn't. He came to the door with a gun. It's not like he was skipping down the street on his way to church. It would have ended the same way if he had been another race. You must have missed the gun.
8
Very impressive.
8
Meh. Sorry, but those earrings though. 😳
8
@kathik That was a direct quote.
8
From what I've heard, he was not aware that he had a son until Corey was 4 when the paternity test was done. He got custody because she was on drugs.
7
@RaeAnn_1202 I'm just shocked that she's allowed in the courtroom and that they can chat during the trial.
7
Well, she isn't being held accountable enough.
7
One thing is very clear - Natalie doesn't care!!
7
Poor little angel. 😢
7
@Stand Down I was wondering about the same thing. She couldn't weigh more than 110 pounds. It seems logical that she would have been hurt, too. We'll find out more during the trial. I appreciate the reply.
7
Everyone always insists that killers fake cry. It's possible for a person to cry AND be a heartless murderer. They're not mutually exclusive.
6
It really shouldn't be referred to as a box. The situation is horrific enough. There's no need to exaggerate. It was a room with no windows. And the bucket shouldn't be described as "going to the bathroom". Even the prosecutor refers to it as a bathroom, which actually downplays the circumstances. He didn't get the privilege of actually going to a bathroom. He had to relieve himself in a bucket. Say it as it is.
6
@karenhummel49 WHAT?!😳
6
@DM_21 It's not judgement, it's an observation.
6
I wonder why she gets so much hate. I was thinking how well she was doing and was surprised to see such negative comments. Maybe you could fill me in?
6
He forgot to use air quotes around "loving wife". 😳
6
Not really. Her acting skills were equal to many professional actresses though.
6
She should have gotten divorced also.
6
Impressive prosecutor. I'm not sure I've ever heard a more well-spoken attorney in a case like this. He truly understands how Paul ended up the way he did, while also understanding that he belongs in prison. Excellent comments by prosecution. He truly empathized with Tim and wanted to make sure to show him the respect that he deserved. I've got to say that the defense attorney's statement was also excellent. They both seem to understand the complications in this situation.
6
@Homepaddocksfarm Nah. Children aren't allowed in court. We all have someone who can watch a child - coworker, neighbor, relative, friend, babysitter, spouse... There's really no excuse. She didn't even have to leave her home.
6
How do you think she ended up like that?? Narcissists are raised that way, not born that way. She doesn't deserve any support.
6
@kellysblackcat I'm talking about the actual backstory. There's a lot more to it than that.
6
I still feel ill about Caleigh's murder and her mom getting away with it.
6
He came to the door with a gun, knowing that armed cops were on the other side.
6
@tamarinbush6613 No one said that. We're simply pointing out that she chose drugs over her children. She also did not work hard to see her daughter for a very long time. This isn't black and white - good guy/bad guy. I'm not sure why people think that way. Adam killed Harmony, but Crystal failed her on another level.
6
Really? This seems like an appropriate position for her.
6
You have no idea if they lied.
6
I think this is the very first time I've heard an attorney say it's about justice, not about winning or losing.
5
Why are you jumping to conclusions? So far, all witnesses are saying he was in the wrong.
5
@Angelac3152 That's what I'm confused by.
5
I love her. I'm really particular, but will give Chanley a pass. She just got out of court and had to access her notes. Normally, she's extremely professional and well spoken.
