  41. True, friends seem to come and go. One of my​ longest friendships, her husband just passed away so she contacted me. In the past 40 years, there were periods we hadn't spoken for years, while she raised her family. Now, I can offer my sympathy. That's all she wants. Friendship is an odd thing.
