  6.  @markharc7615  To run a nation successfully, and defend it successfully, requires cold hard facts and logical reasoning, over emotion. Leaders have to be able to make hard choices based upon objective facts and reality, and to be able to choose the lesser of evils (sometimes sacrificing a few to save the rest). And at times, leaders must also be individually strong and capable to achieve or maintain their status. Women, overall, have proven an overall inability to perform consistently and reliably in this manner over the course of their lives. Physical strength, ability to set emotions aside, objectivity regardless of personal feelings, and the ability to make hard choices that involve the deaths of people.

The reasons for the loss of skills is many, it's not a black and white issue. But it is a very real issue. Many people are already being offered more than their skills are worth too.

Many people I know recently have been becoming aware of how to treat root causes through diet, exercise, physical therapy, and other methods. The doctors they consult won't have anything to do with it. Tons of friends and family over Thanksgiving were sharing such stories with me. More and more people are paying attention to their health and starting to to make conscious decisions to live better. I've even seen studies showing that younger generations are drinking less soda, for example. Almost everyone I know has given up smoking. All my coworkers stopped years ago. All my family members stopped. Most of the guys I served with in Iraq and Afghanistan have also given up smoking and even alcohol. Weight loss surgery is another "symptom" solution, rather than a "root cause" solution. This only proves my point. Pushing unnecessary surgeries is just as bad as pill pushing.

I won't blame doctors who try to get their patients to live better, and who are open to treatments that target root causes before going to drugs and surgeries. Even if their patients wont listen. But I will blame doctors who get upset at their patients for wanting to try "holistic" medicine (even though an awful lot of "holistic" stuff has been studied in recent years and found to be valid medical advice). I will blame doctors who are just living off the kickbacks from big pharma companies. Those doctors are snake oil salesmen and not practitioners of medicine. If a patient refuses the better options and wants the pharma solution, I wont blame the doctor for getting a kickback. But I will if that is their first reaction, and they're just trying to max out their paycheck rather than actually helping people.

  40.  @chrisfrench9257  I've just seen many guys trust their parents in the military with finances, and get screwed over far more times than it ended well. Some parents are great, but many are not. People can't just go assuming their parents wont screw them over by default. Everyone has to judge their own situation on a case by case basis. And if you've helped your son as you say, I applaud you. But not good blanket advice for most people. Those same irresponsible, immoral, unscrupulous parents that sleep around, cheat, lie, divorce, etc are also someone's parents.

  45. 7:40 I agree with this. I don't talk bad about friends and family who are married. I don't tell them my views on things, especially if they are in successful marriages with good kids. But I am not a gambling man, and never had the time or energy to deal with women my entire life, and have too much too lose in marriage, and so little to gain. Doesn't mean I think No one should get married, in fact we NEED people to get married and have kids. But do I wish we could fix the problems with society to make it better again.
