Learning? You think this war is being fought with rapidly--evolving tactics? No. Not much learning is involved. It's the same old stuff. Artillery. Artillery. Suicidal attacks by Russian troops. Artillery. Aircraft and drone strikes. Artillery. Repeat the whole process.
2
You are right, it IS sad to see Pakistani and Chinese border troops die just because someone far away in the government halls of India created problems with its neighbors.
2
@stayreasonablestayreasonab8133 - And you're a poor student of history and of how autocrats never stop reaching for more until they are held back. It's a human trait. The greedy ones keep being greedy. Same goes for CEOs who keep grabbing for more money until they are regulated by the government. Same even goes for bureaucracies.
2
I am not against Russian soldiers. I am against the Russian leaders, and against any Russian soldiers who commit war crimes. That is true of most people. They understand Russian soldiers, like all soldiers, follow orders (sadly, even illegal ones).
1
@Rascal2468 - Russian sovereignty does not include other countries who choose to align with the West. So, Russian sovereignty has never been under threat.

This video is about as pathetic of a piece of propaganda as the videos you get from North Korea. HT must be getting a nice check from Putin for this, directly or indirectly. If Putin had a strong military, strikes like this would NOT be happening now because the Ukrainian equipment would have already been substantially destroyed and remaining mobile radars would have gone dark to survive. But Putin and his cronies eroded his military through gross corruption. Soldiers are literally being given toy paint gun "body armor" instead of the real armor, and they must buy their own functioning weapons and ammo. Wow! What you see here in this video is that one radar strike is big news for Putin. It really is not "big" news for Putin and his desperate faithful, but it is the best news they can share, because that is the best they can do! They have to buy weapons from a small country on the verge of revolution itself, and all they can do is kill innocent civilians and on rare occasion hit a radar unit. Pathetic. If the Russian military leadership had any morals to their character, they would acknowledge they've lost instead of continuing to kill innocent civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure. And if HT thinks that is legitimate warfare, then I look forward to them acknowledging the legitimacy of Muslim attacks on Indian civilizations. What is good for the goose is good for the gander!

Russian should focus on its own people, not making war. The arc of history takes a path we cannot control. However, if Russia had instead invested in health care, education, industry and *anti-corruption*, it could have been so much more than the shell it is now.
1
That is sad projecting! It is Yanukovich who fled Ukraine, into the romantic arms of Putin. Yanukoich was Putin's piss-bucket boy, his "bottom boy" who was willing to betray Ukraine. Now the Ukrainian patriots are fighting for their rights, led by Zelensky, and the disgusting creature called Putin keeps trying to kill them. Putin knows the Ukrainian freedom fighters might inspire the Russian people to realize they can alos rise up and retake control of their own freedoms!
1
You would "fall out of a window" in a day.
1
@ilovejesusalways - It's funny how you failed to mention that the West has not committed its own armies. Don't think Russia is so powerful. The Western armies could crush Russia. They have the population, the weaponry, and the training.
1
Then move there. Or invite them to rule over you like they are trying to take over Ukraine. And don't forget to keep your mouth shut. Because in Putin's dictatorship, if you even just say something his thugs dislike, they will throw you in jail. And you will be beaten and won't even get a fair trial.
1
But you're not Ukrainian. You're a Putin tool, so your opinion and lies don't mater.
1
What nonsense. Russia dares not fully commit to this war for their own reasons of survival. If they use up their best weapons, China will roll all over them. Nukes are useless. They only invite counter-attacks with nukes. They also mean permanent international blockade. No country wants to disconnect from world trade. It is economic death.
1
@ACuriousChild - LOL! Sending waves of ex-prisoners to die is "precision"? Failure to plan and execute is "diligence"? Yeah, OK. And btw, surgeons don't use weapons, they use tools. They save people, they don't kill others or their own staff.
1
Yes, the Russians turned back because their soldiers were fighting as badly as civilians and getting killed very easily.
1
More like a paper tiger. If Russia is such a lion, why does it go to a failed state like North Korea begging for help? Fat Kim can't even feed his own people and Russia is begging for HIS help, licking his boot heels. Pathetic.
1
President Putin does NOT target civilians. You are correct. He orders his subordinates to target civilians. He has done this in every country he attacked. Syrians, Georgians, even his own civilians in the apartment building he blew up. Putin has no problem ordering the deaths of civilians. His supporters admire his boldness in doing that.
1
@Starrynight - Bots.
1
Israel is a corrupt country that only survives because the US keeps it alive. The extremists ruin the country, just as they ruin the rest of the Middle East.
1
I agree with the former. However, Putin will waste the lives of another 200k Russians if he can do it just to keep his life and job. This ends when the Russians finally kill him. Otherwise it goes on endlessly.
1
Were that true, he would have reduced corruption in Russia, freed up the open market, and grown Russia into an economically mighty country. Instead, just to keep power, he has oppressed his people and crushed the spirit, energy, and creativity of those who would bring Russian into the world of countries with broadly developed states and communities.
1
You are a coward and fool. Anybody who is fighting for their life but won't hit their enemy is a doomed fool. If Putin wants to hurt Ukraine, he will try with or without an excuse that a bridge was hit.
1
HOOT - LOL! In the last month, Ukraine has been GAINING tanks because the Russians being sacrificed by Putin are abandoning functional tanks faster than they can destroy the Ukrainian tanks. And you think Putin is winning? LOL!
1
@ACuriousChild - I generally agree, but I do think an unintentional outcome of the Ukrainians using Bakhmut to wear down Russia is that it has become a fixation in the minds of people. So, some in Ukraine are now worrying that if it falls they will suffer a morale loss. Clearly, even if Russia gains nothing "practical" from Bakhmut, if they take it they probably will get a morale boost from it back home. T(his is true particularly due to propaganda twisting the reality of the story. After all, even Russians who fully understand they are in a sea of propaganda still can't help but be affected by it.) The troops, though, won't care if they take Bakhut. They just want the war to be over.
1
Seeing as they ONLY exist thanks to decades of US support, that would be a good reason.
1
Ha-ha-ha! (No other comment necessary.)
1
That's not a winning strategy. It's the loser's strategy. Every war is an investment, and you should start the war with an exit strategy for each contingency. Saying you will never stop fighting until you reach victory means you will never stop paying for your folly.
1
Exactly. WAR, not a "Special Military Operation". Putin needs to reverse things to the way before he started his invasive war.
1
Ha! If you think the purpose of a hypersonic missile is to take out a tank, you are radically naive. Those missiles each require a massive investment, including a lot of waiting for the supposed right time to use each one.
1
And?
1
Ha-ha-ha! You mean their commanders are so bad at following simple directions they got lost and headed to Kiev? Well, no problem. After the Ukrainians wiped out columns of Russian armor and infantry, the Russians learned which way to go home.
1
@DialogueExpo - MagellanMax claimed Russia didn't intend to invade Ukraine. It is quite clearly written and has not been changed. Try reading it again. As for my uncommon sense, my IQ is certifiably genius level. As for English, I tested in the top 4% of those taking the GREs, the graduate record exams. These are tests that are only used for college graduates going to post-graduate education. Dummies like you don't even bother taking them. You would score in the bottom 2%. Also, I proudly served in US military service because I believe in democracy and the power of the people. Eat that, fascist troll.
1
@mythbuster6126 - HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! Right. And Russian soldiers who must buy their own functional armor, weapons, and ammo using personal funds are doing so because that is Putin's "military logistics model". Riiiight! =:-D The Russian people have been robbed for years, so much so that most don't even get murderously upset by the oppressive cost of theft that Putin's lackey's put on the people. It's truly sad. Some of the Russian people have Stockholm Syndrome, sympathizing with Putin even though he has kidnapped the future of the Russian people.
1
Leaders don't fight alone. Leaders get others to follow voluntarily. If one is alone, one has failed to lead. Putin failed. Badly!
1
Same reason people called Gandhi a criminal. He stood up to abusive power.
1
If you blend the lies of the Hindustan Times with the fantasies of Anka, you get results that are much closer to the truth.
1
China has all the strength, Russia is a shell. Putin has exposed Russia to China. In the future, ten years or so from now, China will ensure Russia splits up and western Russian areas will becomes= Chinese satellite countries.
1
@PerceivedREALITY999 - Are you twelve years old? Do you honestly get excited about your Russian war fantasies?
1
And yet Putin attacked regardless of your opinion, back when he invaded Crimea. He continued the attacks and made them more intense when he invaded the rest of Ukraine. There was no fighting until he started it. He did this in other countries as well. He is even worse than George Bush and Dick Cheney.
1
@sveng3192 - It still requires moving on from a place you occupied, regardless of the direction you move.
1
@wilfriedschuler3796 - That is utter nonsense! The war was documented and photos taken of the bombing, including bombing of oil refineries, oil depots, rail yards, munitions factories, aircraft factories, ball bearing factories, and all manner of place. The reality is that the WWII Allies and the Axis both bombed all sorts of targets. The reason German industrial output increased during the war was a combination of poor bombing accuracy by the Allies and effective work by the Germans and their many enslaved workers. It is estimated that Albert Speer alone bore a high responsibility/credit for managing the German war output so well. While some have mythologized his role, he was a highly capable bureaucrat and technocrat. Try reading a full suite of well-informed sources. This will help to fill in gaps that arise from bias, plus help you to catch poor and even incorrect information and conclusions. I recommend starting with The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.
1
@bladez-if4vw - The HT is the one dramatizing things. This is not a Ukrainian video.
1
One day you will grow up and realize that getting along with other people is how civilized people behave.
1
People in NATO countries can vote for whoever they want. Their journalists can speak the truth and call a war a war. You can stay in Russia for all we care. Live your live of oppression, suppression and depression. Its a miserable way to "live" but you are too scared of change to enjoy freedom of self-government. You are too weak to consider governing your own destiny, so you need a parent figure like Putin to tell you what to think and say. You're a coward, afraid of your own free thoughts and actions.
1
@patb5266 Aww, Patty B is bitter. Sadly for puzzy patty, all of these nations listed are functional democratic republics. Meanwhile, Puzzy Putin is so scared of journalists and their pens that he jails and even kills them. Puzzy patty, we pity you. Yaw Wussia is miserable and so aw you. Aww.
1
@patb5266 - It's just like you to think that means things are going well in Ukraine. How many months has Russian struggled over a one-donkey town? How much fuel and ammo have they used up in the year they have fought in Ukraine? Strategic outcomes matter, not some irrelevant fluctuation in today's news.
1
Seven times so far.
1
@comingviking - This was the humor I needed for today.
1
@patrickmcdonald8152 - Humans can survive freezing weather without burning fuel. Inuit have done it for millennia. Putin, however, cannot survive his endless strings of pointless, costly defeats that get Russian draftees killed for nothing but Putin's insecure ego.
1
Putin's personal ambition is destroying more than Ukraine. He has destroyed Russian lives. What a sad thing to do.
