Germany has absolutely no right to search ships in international waters regardless what the heck they are ''suspecting'' unless ship's captain gives permission that we can clearly see in the footage he didn't so this was an extremely illegal action without any question at all!! And if there was a Turkish frigate nearby they were going to receive a pretty hostile respond which is why as soon as they learned a Turkish frigate was on it's way they immediately left the cargo ship!! If Turkey did such a thing they were crying as ''violation of international laws'' right now but even then they are still trying to claim ''Turkey prevented their illegal search'', just moronic western double standarts and piracy at its finest...

Sadly it will get even worse..

@Matze239 It doesn't matter who gave this illegal order at all as it was conducted by German soldiers in international waters!!! They must have remembered they didn't have such an authority in international waters at all...

I really doubt Russian fire control is accurate as American ones like AH-1 or Apache while there is pilotage problem as well so i have to guess those rockets landed randomly in the middle of city..

@kingoliever1 Sure which is why here this EU official says Turkey was entittled to refuse inspection, right??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVJkFcAiogU Don't eat everything you hear as no country can board other country's ships in international waters unless there is a permission and there wasn't then it was piracy indeed...
5
@Matze239 Yeah, sure you just forgot about international laws for obvious reasons but you will cry as ''international laws'' once again next time there is an incident between Turkey and Greece!! You greeks love twerking like this, LMAO!!..
5
@Stephen-bq4nq Some western countries did while others didn't like Germany. Also armed drones are a lot heavier equipments compared to ATGMs. Ukraine needs heavy equipments, drones, air defense systems, IFVs etc not just cheap man-portable missiles..
5
Terrorists in Syria like isis or ypg use ATGMs almost at their maximum range so they could run away easier. While Ukrainian heroes use them at their minimum range, huge respect to them really!! Because this is defending a country that you don't shoot and run, rather you stay and fight until enemies or you are dead...

@kingoliever1 There is no such a nonsense as ''long enough silence also counts as yes'' in international laws so even if the cargo ship wasn't responding at all German ship only had authority to follow it and if it enters Libyan territorial waters then board it for searching any embargo violations!!! That German ship has no difference than a fishing boat in international waters so Turkish cargo ship doesn't have to follow their a single instruction nor request unless they declare emergency (German ship is sinking somehow etc) then Turkish cargo ship had to respond and assist them in any way they can according to INTERNATIONAL LAWS not some pirate laws that sadly German ship followed in this incident...

Turkey launched a retaliation after that attack however and neutralized hundreds of assadist and wagner forces in Syria. Also it wasn't a convoy rather a safe house used by Turkish military that Russian side claimed they weren't informed Turkish military was using the building so somehow mistaken them with rebels. Here is the footage of the retaliation: https://youtu.be/JsYPRjdMC1k

@speedyneon If they stayed at 3 km distance there was no way on Earth they could kill or wound so many infantry with machine gun fire!! This is the high cost of defending a country and brave Ukrainians are ready to pay the price, you wouldn't understand it if you are from one of ''independence'' granted countries...

@Stephen-bq4nq You are American, aren't you?? Only Americans have such ridiculous way of arguing, for example i am talking about Syria where Russia conducted very similar military operations recently while you are trying to use Iraq where there were no Russians, LMAO!! Iraqi insurgents could melt away into civilian population because even if US targeted civilians hundreds of times as well they didn't push as far as using cluster and thermobaric bombs and didn't level entire cities into ground!! You need to check what happened to Aleppo ASAP then you would finally realize what im talking about. Russia didn't use similar wiced tactics in Ukraine yet but they will eventually if the war continues. And if the west doesn't properly support Ukrainians they will loose the war with tens of thousands military and civilian casualties!! Simply because God damn sniper rifles and atgms don't work against such wicked tactics, in fact Syrian rebels also had thousands of those weapons but got slaughtered at the end, here is a summary for you: https://youtu.be/EsAilPOdQCQ
2
Isis, Ypg and Syrian army also had thousands of manpands, ATGMs and even air defense systems while Turkish army carried out successful operations against them not once, not twice rather FOUR TIMES!! But ofc Turkish army is quite modern and combat ready force with hundreds of armed drones etc while apparently Russian army is just an empty shell of soviet army...
2
What about US seized ships like British ships etc weren't them piracy?? OfC nOt...

@swunt10 You can't READ your own quote?? As it is about ships leaving Libya for illicitly exporting crude oil from Libya while was that cargo ship leaving Libya when it was illegally boarded by German soldiers??? Nope, not at all!! So nice try to claim it was legal somehow...

@Stephen-bq4nq ''an insurgency'' this is the exact point we disagree because there won't be an Ukrainian insurgency if those large cities are fallen under Russian control. As soon as there are no cameras recording Russian troops will begin slaughtering everybody on their path and that insurgency will disappear in no time. We have to make sure those Ukrainian cities won't fall and for that we have to send heavier equipments...
1
@Stephen-bq4nq Ukraine is a vast plain, care to explain where exactly the insurgency will hold? In cities?? Those cities won't last long when they start using cluster and thermobaric bombs, in fact they already started to target media infrastructure to prevent those footages leaving Ukraine: https://youtu.be/MW-zA4DkS_w I know this will happen because Russia has been doing EXACTLY same in Syria for years and dropped dozens of cluster and even thermobaric bombs on Syrian cities. That's how they fight and it works, sadly western countries never did enough to stop wicked war in Syria while we will see how they will react for Ukraine and nope, those sniper rifles and atgms won't do anything against such wicked attacks...
1
@Stephen-bq4nq Moving to where? Evaporating into air?? LMAO!! Clearly your points depend on movies or something while i closely watched the war in Syria, in fact i only live 100 km away from Syria and when Syrian insurgency lost the cities they literally got slaughtered on open field. And Russia made sure those cities would fall with every kind of armament they had and they will do same in Ukraine. The worst of all you couldn't even realize Afghanistan is 75% mountainous country so the insurgency had mountainous region to hold against both Russian and American forces. While Ukraine is only 5% mountainous country same as Syria!! If Ukrainian forces can't defend those cities against cluster and thermobaric bombs with western provided air defense systems Ukrainian insurgency will be slaughtered, stop daydreaming...
1
@Stephen-bq4nq ''When asked what help Ukraine needs from US and NATO, Ukrainian FM told @amanpour "air force and anti-missile defense, and weapons." "We are fighting in the air, but physically Russia has more planes to deploy to Ukraine than we have.we need better protection from the sky ''
1
@Stephen-bq4nq I really hope so.

@WillHBauer You are the one who needs to learn international laws as according to them no country can stop and board any other country's ship in INTERNATIONAL WATERS regardless what the heck they are ''suspecting'' or what kind of embargo there is!! So operation irini doesn't cover international waters AT ALL rather only Libyan territorial waters but that cargo ship was stopped in Libyan territorial waters??? NOPE, in international waters without any kind of permission at all so i hope you realized the major mistake in your lacking knowledge...
