@xeniadelsol Religious people are taught to hate irreligious people because they see them as a threat.

The children born of these dreadful unions are innocent and their lives must have been blighted. As for the excuse that one can understand the derision shown by Finnish children towards Lebensborn children, it is inexcusable. Those mocking the lebensborn children should be glad that they were not born Lebensborn themselves. We bully other people for being who they are, but we could easily have been them.

@GazB85 You would not like a twelve-year-old stealing your car and running over your parents with it.
6
@cathye.2855 Every major religion has members who defect from it.
6
@sebastiang7394 The harm has been done. True, but a bigger harm has been done by allowing the criminal to go unpunished. Not only do you hurt the family of the victim but you also make it unsafe for the rest of society.
5
@elisyaomorose957 Nonsense. No God would have wished the Holocaust. After all, the people who perished in it were His creation. Even religious people died in it, not just atheists or unbelievers.
4
@ns2110theonly Yes, there are those who thrive in it, others who wither in it. Do not imply that those who wither in it are racist. If someone grew up in a devoutly Protestant home and abandoned his or her religion, it does not make him more of a hater than anyone else. Even a devoutly religious person may experience conflict between his or her religion and the outside world. His upbringing was just not to his or her taste. He or she should feel free to comment without being labelled.

Difficult though it is, the sooner you break away from a stifling environment, the better it is. Of course, no-one likes to fall out with their family or friends, but that is the price you have to pay in order to move forward with your life. There are many who would like to do what she did but are unable to because they would not know how to make their way in the world. It takes some getting used to.
3
@barbarawebb7185 Many of the converts are more sincere than people born into the religion themselves. Those born into the religion accept it (I am not talking about those who want to break away. I am talking about those who do not want to break away) because they were not born into anything else, whereas a convert regards his adopted religion as something new.

@GazB85 I read of a twelve-year-old who murdered his foster mother, by jumping into her car and reversing when she stood behind him. By his own admission, he intended to steal the car. Do you not think that this is worthy of harsh punishment? Children commit far worse crimes than most adults.
3
@Chanie787878 The youngest child will not know the oldest child. By the time, the youngest child is old enough to start primary school, the oldest one will long since have left home.
3
@uniqueuser6707 Do you know how many people drop out of religion? MILLIONS!
3
@hansanders4983 Then it is the men who should be controlled. If you see a wild dog running in the street, biting people, would you control the people or the dog?
2
@hansanders4983 Plenty of women get serially harassed even while modestly dressed.
2
@hansanders4983 If you see a gold watch in the display window of your local jeweller's, would you steal it? No? Why not? Because you have the self-control not to. You know that it is wrong. Now, if you see a scantily dressed woman in the street, would you sexually harass her? Yes? Why? Because you do not have any self-control. You do not know that it is wrong. What is the difference? It is all in your mind and attitude.
2
Can you imagine, Carling, not having a minute to yourself? Being in your pyjamas all day because you are tied up, looking after one baby after another? This alone can drive you mad.
2
@churblefurbles No fear of that happening, Churble. She herself says that it is normal for them to have ten or twelve children. With this high number of births, there is no need to worry about anyone dying out.
2
@miam1074 A religion in which one gender controls the other is never a good one, just like any relationship - even an atheist one- is never good if one partner controls the other. A good relationship is based on equality and mutual trust, not domination and fear of the other partner.
2
@redfirebelle In what scripture does it say that a woman has to get married? I think that it is a cultural thing, more to do with the harshness of life at the time. Blaming the scriptures for the compulsion of a woman to get married is the same as blaming the Protestant Church for Brexit.
2
@redfirebelle There is nothing wrong with women dressing modestly if that is what they want to do, but, if it is FORCED on them, that becomes a problem. By that, I mean, being forced to dress in warm clothes on hot days and swelter in the heat. I do not mean showing one's cleavage.
2
@zakysetyabudi4195 Would we like it if our own religion was made fun of?
2
@hitmanabhi007 Yes, but one does not have to insult people. I mean, one does not have to make fun of someone else's prophet, antagonise those who choose to wear a hijab, niqab or any other garment or item. We would not like it if someone mocked our jeans, T-shirts or mini skirts.
2
I do not think that the Holocaust is an excuse for oppressing females. I think that part of the reason that women are oppressed is because they are blamed for the Fall of Man. Yes, I know it was only one female who brought death and other problems into the world but no-one here can blame her because she is dead, so instead they blame all females collectively. That said, one should move on from that type of attitude.
1
@Robodog69 You get young people today fighting other people even though they were not born at the time that the original problems started. Look at Northern Ireland, for example. It was a hotspot in the 1970's with both Catholics and Protestants killing each other during the Troubles. Nowadays, although it has calmed down somewhat, we still hear of Protestants and Catholics attacking each other, even though they themselves were not born during the Troubles. Things can pass from generation to generation.
1
@CanaryCaia In some parts of the world, it still exists.
1
The whole world is racist up yo a certain extent.
1
They hurt each other when they do not trust each other. It is a sign of insecurity.
1
@veramae4098 And what about the girl who lied to her father? She also created trouble.
1
@@labhrasodochartaigh2733 Yes, but we do not have to insult other people's religious beliefs - that is not freedom of speech; that is hate speech. You would not like someone mocking your religion or even your absence of religion.
1
@mrrorschach837 It does not matter whether someone is religious or secular. We do not have to insult them.
1
@hansanders4983 Men and women were created for each other for the purpose of reproduction, that is a perfectly rational thought. It only becomes irrational if one group of people seeks to control the other and dominate it. It is as simple as that.
1
@juniorlsdmusic Because at that time, the world was a very primitive place. If you read the history of that time, people were little better than animals. They were uneducated, uncultured and there were few job prospects. Many jobs required brute strength. There was no machinery or technology to help them, so women were regarded as useless in the field of work at the time, but times progress and so should mankind. Most people do not want to live in primitive times. They want to move on. They want to live more comfortably. They do not want to live like pigs.
1
@MH-yw1db Hers is an all too common story, I am afraid, M H.
1
@sechale Tbe first step to open is your mind and the first step is always the hardest. Many people do not want to fall out with their families, so they allow themelves to be controlled. Shame! Because life is too short to be miserable.
1
@hansanders4983 There is nothing wrong with you looking at women, as long as you do not make suggestive comments to them or rape them.
1
@kaashee The topless women on Page 11 of The Sun WANT to be in that paper. They are there of their own free will. Here, we are talking about the subjugation of women. Women who are not free to live their lives as they wish or whose lives have been ruined by many years of subjugation.
1
@kelleymariejones6388 It was the snake who tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. People seem to forget that.
1
@alk158 They do not refuse to have children just to spite the men. They choose not to have children because they do not like children, which is sad but a darned sight better than having children and then neglecting them.
1
@ladyofbast250 " The woman was deceived." Anyone can get deceived if they are told that God will create another human being to dominate over you if you do not eat the forbidden fruit. Eve did not really want to eat the forbidden fruit, the snake tempted her to do do. This is somewhat forgotten in this discussion here.
1
Johnny Ola Only in the Reform communities, Johnny and that movement is not considered genuine in the Orthodox communities.
1
@michellebadham9353 Nobody is arguing with that, Michelle. They are arguing about the dominion of women in some communities.
1
@uniqueuser6707 Do you mean to tell me that there are other oppressive cultures in the world? Do you mean to tell me that everyone leads a free life?
1
@carinaa.6394 Everyone can be held accountable for their actions. Saying otherwise is just an excuse.
1
@carinaa.6394 You should try using emoticons to show when you are being sarcastic. People on these boards cannot see you, so they do not know when you are being sarcastic or not.
1
InfoJunkie NO-ONE should control ANYONE ELSE.
1
@Barbara_GB That is like saying: "I left my car parked outside. It is my fault that someone has stolen it."
1
@kelleymariejones6388 But, Kellymarie Jones, the snake encouraged Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. Eve did not do it of her own volition.
1
@irisbjones Not only that. Do you realise that there may be rape victims looking at this chatroom? How do they feel if they read that someone like Hans Anders implies that women exist solely for his "pleasure?"
1
I am. In 2021.
1
@fubytv731 Would you kill anyone for denigrating your religion?
