it especially annoys me because the nus-002(usa) & dol-002(usa) literally say 120v
1
the standard main fuse sizes in europe are 3x25a & 3x35a
1
can you use an av2hdmi converter with a usb-c hdmi capture card?
1
@dave597 why would you need an hd60s+? vhs doesn't need 1080p60
1
@dave597 if you capture the stretched 1920x1080 from the av2hdmi converter then you need to squish it to 1440x1080
1
why is the video marked as made for kids?
1
elfrjz there's also my grandma's old 2007 sony lcd hdtv: it's lcd panel resolution is 1366x768 but the hdmi/dvi edid tells the connected computer that it's only 1360x768

schuko sockets are usually only used in 220-240v countries
1
even if you had 100000000a wires then the dc plug would melt
1
i also don't have a dishwasher because i don't have a circuit for it
1
standard north american circuits are 120v 15a or 120v 20a so a kettle could easily overload the circuit

1
@securitycamera8776 an rcd won't work with tn-c
1
@GH-oi2jf my apartment's ancient 60 amp fuse box is 208v
1
almost all japanese devices are 100v 50/60hz
1
the led bulb likely has a 100-240v switching power supply inside
1

120v to 240v transformer
1
if you use an hdmi dvd player with an hdmi2av converter then macrovision will be removed (this also works the other way with an av2hdmi converter)
1
the type g plug is the only plug type that has fuses because it uses 32a ring circuits instead of 10-20a radial circuits
1
that won't work if the power cord has a standard iec plug on the other end
1
my fridge is on my kitchen's 20a circuit so it's nice that i can use a 20a fuse
1
don't you australians have 415v 3 phase?
1
@Footrotflats251 who doesn't need 3 phase power? how do you power a range with 230v single phase? you need 3 8awg (10mm²) wires
1
for some reason the sns-002 uses a weird standard dc plug
1
fun fact: right now i only have ikea led bulbs, ikea lamps & ikea black furniture in my rental apartment
1
1 of the advantages is high power with thin wires: for example european 230v 3x25a (4 or 5 10awg/6.0mm² wires) can carry up to 17250w
1
@ghz24 so what? that's still a useful fact
1
the type g uk plug is the safest but the type f schuko plug is the best
1
we do have surge protectors here in the us
1

1
how big are the australian main fuses usually? are they 3x25a, 3x32a, 3x35a or 3x40a?
1
@hywodena my landlord is even worse because i don't even have a dishwasher circuit
