@bigpatman7846 Obama didn't start those. Jeez.
1
@bigpatman7846 Stop it, you're making me wish there was a laugh emoticon here. Do you honestly think that Obama started wars that GWB began?
1
@grantsmythe8625 Sadly, the racist nutters and the reich-wing anti-government types will be present among us until we have a long process to root them out. Kudos to Canada for not tolerating that type blocking their border crossings. Wish we had some spine here for dealing with that stuff.
1
Wonder what the Heritage Foundation is going to do with, say, the list of trans kids that Musk and his team of creeps copied out for them? (shudder) Also anyone who's gay.
1
The one constant about Trump is that he can not be counted on to do the responsible thing - ever! So we may expect him to keep motivating his Brownshirt irregulars as long as it's not made superabundantly clear to all just what his guilt is. He could have just conceded his election loss, but no, he'd rather burn down the country. Says it all.
1
Australia has their share, sadly. Been following the travel videos of folks who've gone around the country evading lockdowns.
1
Considering that the Republicans got far more vocal & upset over Obama wearing a tan suit than they did about Trump suggesting delaying the election - I'd say the answer is yes :(
1
I'm not going to thumbs-up that comment. But I will reply with something to show what's been happening: Republicans at the roadside: "Officer, that radar speeding ticket you're trying to give me is invalid because you're not of the same political party as me. That just proves your bias. So I'm going to rip it up and drive away." Republicans in court later: "Since the judge didn't personally witness this alleged speeding incident, he's not qualified to make that judgement." Republicans after losing in court: "Nobody got hurt by the speeding car so the laws don't apply!"
1
@mginoulhac Exactly! Trump hiding all documents, preventing witnesses, preventing testimony, etc - these are not the actions of an innocent person.
1
@mginoulhac There's no point in answering??? You mean like when Al Capone, after enduring years of investigation of his criminal enterprise by IRS agents, concluded that the agents were biased and therefore he didn't have to show them his secret books? The president broke the law. Get over it.
1
Thrunabulax Bingo. Because if obstructing congressional investigation, extorting another nation to interfere in our elections, emoluments violations, lying about reasons for firing Comey, etc are not impeachable, then they may as well admit there is no law.
1
@julieannmyers8714 You knew him in person?? (if so I am in awe)
1
@Suicidal Gopher We have a lot of people here like that. I sometimes wonder if they'll ever be able to climb up out of the rabbit hole that they're stuck in.
1
If the Republicans insist on telling their sheeple that elections that don't go their way don't count -- yup, we're in a strange place.
1
Fakebook is the #1 source of misinformation for anti-vaxxers and other kinds of anti-science nonsense. For example, the 2019 measles outbreak in Washington State cost the state above $1 million to deal with. Considering that the people who caused the problem got their anti-science nuttery from Fakebook, perhaps the state should sue to claw back some $$$$.
1
Sounds a lot like living in far rural Russia -- minus all the bits of support system that still exist from before the end of the communistic times. But then, anyplace that crows endlessly about being the "land of the free, home of the brave" is usually trying to wallpaper over some shortcomings :(
1
You can safely use his old tweets as projection or backhand sarcasm about his plans.
1
The Tea Party is still around. By that I mean the people who spent 8 long years filling our feeds with nonsense about chemtrails, Jade Helm, Agenda 21, Benghazi, gay vegetables, the president being a secret Muslim from Kenya with a tribal mentality and a socialist agenda who had his birth cert questioned, etc. They have merely donned red caps. They are as unmoored as always.
1
So sad that he waited until ND was the worst covid outbreak state before mandating masks. Like trying to lock the barn door after the horses have all escaped and the barn is fully engulfed in flame. Trump has revealed three distinct classes of Americans: A) People who stand up to bullies and authoritarians, and who try to defend the rule of law. B) People who know that a bully is doing bad/illegal stuff, but go along anyway because it serves some single interest (abortion, racism, taxes, etc) C) People who shamelessly suck up to and defend the bully/authoritarian.
1
@FireNooodles It's OK if you have trouble understanding things. You can go look up the fraud rates per voting method. Mail-in is no different from the others.
1
@riverebec1 Just ask Putin what used to be in those now-empty classified folders. And now we know why Trump didn't want any witnesses to his meetings with Putin :(
1
@riverebec1 You know what's got nothing? Those empty folders. Know who had them? Trump. Know who met with Putin privately without witnesses? Trump. Are those dots big enough for you or do you need glasses?
1
Remember when we put Charles Manson away for inciting crime (even though he himself didn't do it) while we put away his cult followers who did? They were just doing what the cult leader told them to do. Same now for Trump, FOXed, and their wannabe Brownshirts committing domestic terrorism. When did our standards slip?
1
Republicans go for misinformation the way crackheads go for that $100 bill blowing across the interstate; and Republicans avoid the cold hard truth of unwelcome facts in the same way that crackheads don't see any upside in cleaning up and getting jobs.
1
@nil981 "The logic behind plandemic was solid" << only if your mind has been poisoned to think of all official info as lies, and a nobody in his dark basement telling you the truth. Nah, I'll stick with Dr Fauci.
1
I for one welcome candidate Michael Bloomberg to the fray. Being a very successful businessman (unlike that bankruptcy-addicted orange fuzzball) he can speak to the rational centrists that swung Trump's way in 2016. He can afford to outspend Trump and not even notice it. He gets under Trump's skin in a bigly way. And if he doesn't make it to be the chosen DNC candidate, we don't know who he'll endorse. Basically, he is peeling off a lot of Trump's base, and that's a good thing.
1
Fox snooze makes them think that there are many millions of them (calling themselves "patriots" of course) just waiting to overthrow the government. I don't think they understand what the consequences of trying it could be like, or what the reaction of the American public might be like. It was a matter of public record that 45 lost the 2020 election .. then lost every single court case challenging the election results. All were tossed out for lack of evidence. And now the whole nation has seen for itself that 45 is a convicted felon. It's not going to go well for his flying monkeys if they try again.
1
The quickly-increasing numbers of homeless people everywhere tell more truth about the real economy than anything Trump or his mouthpieces might say. In the Trump economy, the wealth gap is widening quickly, and if you're not of the top 10% you're being pushed towards the bottom :(
1
Everyone stand back and stand by as all the Dylan Roof / George Zimmerman types show off their notion of what a "well-regulated militia" really is :(
1
Without Fox Gaslighting keeping the sheeple misled, I doubt 45 would get more than 5% share of the votes. He's like David Duke with orange make-up and delusions of grandeur.
1
What's happening in Florida is a good example of why covid isn't anything like the common flu. If the DeathSantis (or is it DeSatan?) approach were correct, Florida would have long ago reached herd immunity. Their no-masks keep-everything-open approach would spread it all over. Instead, the virus is still infecting and killing and spreading.
1
Trump certainly picked his chosen minority - trans people, at 0.5% of the population. Hitler's chosen minority (the Jewish people) were 0.75% of the pre-war German population.
1
The same way they're concerned about whether or not other people have access to feminine healthcare services. Mind you, these are the same people who called it "gub'mint overreach" when they were told to wear masks while a dangerous new disease was making the rounds.
1
Well, how's this tyranny-by-the-minority of rural FOXed Noise-watching blue-hairs working out for the USA? They got one of their own in office finally, and he's like that unhappy drunk racist uncle you try to avoid at family gatherings. The only good to come out of his mismanagement of the coronavirus crisis is that more people are seeing how incompetent he really is.
1
Shit-birds of a feather flock together.
1
He doesn't just revert to the schoolyard bully persona all the time .. more like he seldom strays far from it. Oh well, maybe Santa (or Ded Moroz) will gift Tehran with a few sets of S-400 air defense equipment.
1
Biden is leftie? Sure, but only if you're basically Pat Buchanan or Adolph Hitler. To the rest of us he's pretty centrist.
1
Identical political parties is a fantasy for the simpleminded. Even identical twins aren't identical.
1
And social media will be his eyes and ears, which is why he's tight with Zuckerberg and the Muskrat. Remember, Big Orangey will see the information freedoms of his previous term as one of the few things keeping him from permanent power.
1
Also make sure people are ready to take video as needed. So when Trumpies break the law, they can be assured of some time in front of the judge then a long stay at Graybar Hotel.

682 days elapsed between the J6 insurrection and AG Garland's appointment of special prosecutor Jack Smith. Ignoring incipient fascism in your home country is like ignoring stage 3 cancer in your digestive system. In roughly the same time window, Germany uncovered a plot for a coup, and Brazil endured Balsonaro trying to behave like 45. Both of them dealt with it swiftly - the guilty ones were arrested almost immediately - yet they both still have their democracies, and a black hole didn't suddenly appear to swallow the earth.
1
@robertmiskey5502 It's like Garland watches Fox noise and keeps telling himself, "both sides are the same, both sides are the same, let's just let this slide and maybe it will all go away." And that's part of how democracies die :(
1
America will be lucky to avoid what happened to Germany when their cult leader's lies caught up with him: the country in ruins, invaded by a coalition of other nations. Sadly his MAGA Faithful quislings would happily burn down their own nation.
1
Conservatives are STILL mad that (as they see it) liberals freed "their" farm equipment. That is all you need to know about the south. Oh, and the gardener failed to return after torching the place, and the noxious weeds were the first things to grow back. Suggest returning every 10 years or more often to keep the weeds down. There's a place for confederate sentiments. Like, a locked shipping container that's been pushed off a barge in deep water.
1
"We will no longer have a democracy" - ?? Look in the rearview mirror. Habeas corpus has been suspended (as you can tell from the arbitrary detentions and human trafficking to private prisons) and they just didn't announce it publicly.
1
There are better ways to make MagaTurds aware of how they're about as welcome as serial pedophiles at a grade school camping trip.
1
Funny how MTG isn't using the correct restroom.
1
I had to deal with some fool from Florida earlier today who was claiming that covid has only a .07% death rate .. here is what I posted back: Florida total cases 291,629 minus Florida active cases 253,460 = 38,169 closed cases Florida deaths from coronavirus 4,409 4,409 divided by 38,169 = 11.55% death rate

Those of you who lived through the 1970s will remember the stagflation times. It will be like that, but a lot worse. If you have a job, you will hang onto it. If you have a working car, you'll be repairing it with tape and wire and glue and homemade parts. If you have a yard, you'll be growing some vegetables. You'll be sewing and knitting clothes for the household. All because America's most gullible voters were twittering in fear over the possibility of a volleyball team somewhere having a trans girl on it.
