  16. It seems unlikely the Conservative Party will go into the next GE in its present form. I remember my Dad telling me in the 1980s that, 'Europe' would end up destroying the Conservative Party. I can see a huge breakaway of Conservative members, Councillors, MPs moving to Reform and putting a 'Let's do Brexit properly' proposition to the UK people.

The majority are students coming to the UK, because UK has 5 universities in the world top 25 (EU has 0 universities in the world top 25) 21 universities in the world top 25 are in English speaking countries. The majority coming to the UK to work are high skills and many are from EU countries. The UK has processed 7.5 million settled status applications for EU citizens to stay in post Brexit UK. Also the cost of living in the UK compared to other countries in Europe has improved since voting for Brexit. In 2016, the cost of living in EU countries like the Netherlands, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Portugal, Austria, Southern Ireland was lower than in the UK. In 2023, the UK cost of living was lower than the Netherlands, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Portugal, Austria, Southern Ireland.

If this idea for a law was to become law and this case was brought to a court, the court would want to consider evidence of bulling contributing to causing death and if there was insufficient evidence to show bulling had been a causal factor, then no crime would have been committed.   32. Because Remain was seen as the safe option and Leave the high-risk option - of those in 'two-minds' the greater majority would have voted remain. This means many more 2016 Remain voters would now vote for Brexit than vice versa... Sorry, but you changing your mind is nonconsequential.

  33.  @gordonstrong5232  Brexit delivering something was not what people voted for. Brexit was the delivery of what people voted for. The ballot paper simply asked the voter did they want Brexit... Most voters did and Brexit has happened. Some people are able to argue Brexit should have been more absolute because the word "leave" was there. But you cannot chunter on about fish and fruit and airports, because those things were not on the ballot paper.

I blame the EU propaganda campaign to get a second referendum, but you have to see that for what it is and accept reality. The easy way to look at this is if they couldn't persuade the UK people to stay in the EU - they're never going to persuade the UK people to re-join the EU.

  45. As a condition of being a member of the EU the UK government had to force all UK citizens to pay VAT on almost all consumer goods. This tax is currently 20% that the UK government needs to charge to pay the EU the huge amounts it demands for so-called 'EU free-trade'. Prior to this UK citizens paid a Purchase Tax which was mainly levied on luxury goods. In Australia where they operate under WTO trading arrangements businesses pay for imports and exports the Australian consumer pays Sales Tax at only 10% (half of what UK consumers are currently forced to pay for EU styled 'EU free-trade')... Why not give the little guy a break for once?
