Her 'deal' is a 'stitch-up' designed and wanted by the pro EU activists because they know they cannot win a second vote. The covert plan is to prevent the freedom of no-deal and keep the UK tethered to the EU for future membership to be achieved by political chicanery.

If I have to be reminded of how unfair nature can be - then I'd rather watch a pack of hyenas eat a baby elephant - but still, I do admire Jess for doing a filmed interview with Sophie.
2
Anyone who has driven in different systems knows how easy it is to be on the wrong side of the road. There's no question the woman is at fault, however, no one is mentioning the speed of the bike which is an important factor.
2
Kier Starmer was photographed during lockdown at a party drinking booze 'but he was working' ... Like his job with zero responsibilities is somehow 'essential' LOL!
2
President Biden has made much of his support for UK people being able to vote to join part of the UK to another country, yet when Russian speaking Ukrainians overwhelmingly vote for East Ukraine to join Russia, this is somehow different and wrong.
2
Nonsense. All that is required is for the shellfish to be processed (depurated) and the EU will accept imports. It's just a matter of a little investment and some more UK jobs which I'm sure the UK government will provide, oh, and some compensation for the fisherman too.
2
What about the democratic freedoms of the people of Eastern Ukraine to choose to become part of Russia?
2
'That house' is worth a million pounds and he owns it outright.
2
@billpugh58 It's not that big a deal to purify shellfish (The Guardian estimated £1m) and compensation paid to UK exporters that have complied with terms agreed by the EU will paid by the EU, or if the EU prefers deducted from UK - EU payments. In reality, the UK market for fish is substantial and there will be a 'eat more British fish' advertising campaign starting soon. I'm sure 17.4m Brexiteers will gladly support UK fishermen and no doubt the Remainers already enjoy a weekly bowl of Cotriade. The number one problem has been the UK restaurant covid crisis.
2
It's all about brainwashing the stupid: 'Boris lie, Boris bad, Brexit lie, Brexit bad'
2
@funnelhacking It's very early days. The UK leaving the EU is a long-term thing - there's bound to be significant developments and time will tell. Referendums are really just snapshots of opinion - no one really knows how Northern Ireland would vote on EU membership in 6 weeks time after a campaigning period.
2
Let's face it we have a parliament almost full of EU shills who are too treacherous to implement the democratic will of the people.
2
The people voted for no-deal and most Remain voters now think no-deal is the best way forward. Anyone who doesn't live in a bubble knows this.
2
It's really the covid closure of UK restaurants that has caused the problem. When the UK restaurants open again they will buy UK fish first. In 2018 the UK imported 228.7 thousand tons of fish from the EU of which 32.4 thousand tons was shellfish.
2
Same way the UK is able to export to France. Why isn't there a border? The GFA doesn't say there isn't a border between the UK and ROI - just like the GFA doesn't say there isn't a border between the UK and France.
2
@ib1378 The only way the vote to trigger A50 can be reversed is if MPs vote for the UK to remain in the EU against the result of a referendum which they voted for. That's not going to happen.
2
@wd4973 Good point! Since we've been in the EU it's gotten harder for ordinary people with the introduction of food banks.
2
The giveaway in GL's statement is he calls the BBC "the fairest broadcaster in the world" GL's role at the BBC is not politics - it's football. The BBC does not regulate football and neither does GL. Football is regulated by the National Governing Body (The Football Association) and its match officials (referees) - this is not 'politics' it's 'sport'. The BBC being 'fair' (politically impartial) has no bearing on the BBC's coverage of football. GL's comment about the BBC being 'politically impartial' reveals that he really sees his role at the BBC, as being a political influencer.

In the last 3 recorded years there were 15770 home repossessions - in the last 3 years of the last Labour government there were 127400 home repossessions...

Talking to teenagers yesterday and was surprised by how their faces lit-up when I mentioned Reform UK. It was clear they are all talking about Nigel Farage and like what he says. They were very clued-up on C4 using an actor in an undercover sting operation and the BBC being biased against Reform UK.
2
@woodforthetrees3496 Why should it make a difference if another country is attached? Isn't that the actual definition of 'a border'? Pretty sure that is what the dictionary says...
2
Starmer is anti-British and would sell our country to the EU for a pat on back from foreigners...
2
Why are countries giving arms to this futile resistance? This is just causing more death and destruction. Why are we fuelling this? Will Zelenskyy follow his own orders and fight on the streets and in the forests - or will he pop-up in some safe country bravely barking orders at others until the bitter end?
2
Don't forget 'Beer Starmer' ...
2
@clairduffy60 Plenty of fireworks on sale end of October - might want to get some earmuffs.
2
The Tories, Labour, SNP and Lib Dems all had a 'vision' to give our country to a federal united states of Europe. They were imposing this 'vision' piecemeal on us, whilst encouraging us to look elsewhere. We rejected this 'vision,' but have kept the same pro-EU political activists in parliament. We need pro-UK independence MPs with a pro-UK independence 'vision' in power.
2
The EU is stuck between a rock and a hard place over a free trade deal because whatever terms it gives to the UK it will have to give to any EU country that wants democratic/economic independence. Prior to Brexit if a poor country voted to leave the EU could use covert economic sticks to bully that country into submission. If a poor country votes to leave after Brexit, that country can demand the same terms as UK and if the EU refuses it will be seen as being an overt bully with different standards for different purses.
2
@ReeseL4D The area the Russian army is currently located in is mostly pro Russia population. I personally doubt the Russians forgot about needing food, water and fuel. It has been standard practice for armies to take along essential supplies for centuries.
2
The only tactic the remoaners have left is to pretend everyone agrees with them - they have a plan of lies...
2
@garygraham8373 Zelenskyy isn't exactly tall and he looks like Napoleon..
2
'Not once' to a Muslim...
2
'It's the autonomy stupid'.
2
@Razor Mouth Really? NATO and the EU have been pushing into Russian territory since the fall of the Berlin Wall. There has been a bloody war on the Ukraine/Russia border for years and The West is supplying arms to fuel war against pro- Russian factions. I don't think USA would like Russia camped on its Mexico border. This little Napoleon is begging to start WW3 and causing avoidable death and destruction to his people. He should have urged his people opposed to the invasion to accept it, because it is inevitable the Russian takeover will succeed. Thousand of people will have died, thousands more will have lost their homes - Russia will be in control of Ukraine and Napoleon will be in Berlin making YouTube videos causing more trouble. Russians do not like foreign armies getting close to Russian soil - read some history.

@Ferdelance-vt6vu In 2014 there was a referendum in Scotland on leaving the UK. 55% voted to stay part of the UK. My analogy is based on Scotland having voted to leave the UK.
2
Nonsense. All that is required is for the shellfish to be processed (depurated) and the EU will accept imports. It's just a matter of a little investment and some more UK jobs which I'm sure the UK government will provide, oh, and some compensation for the fisherman too.
2
If the next general election is after the UK has left the EU; Article 50 would no longer be active, so it would not be possible to simply 'revoke' as this would have no effect. A bit like saying, 'I reverse my decision to divorce' after the divorce is final. The UK would have to apply to join the EU and terms of the new membership would ultimately be determined by the EU.
2
What price freedom? Our own country - doing things the way we want to. Not giving the EU billions to be told how to run our lives.
2
@robertcreighton4635 What was your prediction for the 2016 referendum?
2
Wow! Starmer running chicken from TV debate like this doesn't look good at all!
2
Thing is the Tories will not drop it, because they know millions of voters are angry they can't get a council house or own a home.
2
I think he meant good 'genes'
2
Independent Scotland There's already a £23m fund for fishermen with genuine losses caused by Brexit. It will not cost much to set up and run the processing plants.
2
Reform UK isn't going away, so people who don't want a permanent Labour government are seeing the Conservative Party is the past not the future.
2
red drib So, this is the way pro-EU people view poor people... I wonder what plans the people with a 'stake in society' have for poor people.
2
@hdlamb1170 There's no such thing as no-deal, as trade cannot exist without a deal. If the UK walks from the 'deal' then WTO will provide a deal and that deal will be further negotiable between the trading parties. There is existing trade and there is no reason for this to be interrupted. If politicians try to obstruct existing trade to interfere people's jobs and lives they will very quickly become even more unpopular than they already are.
2
Phil got the military cross - he got them so cross they kicked him out.
2
The people voted for the UK to 'leave' the EU. We know what the 'UK' is, we know what the 'EU' is, and the Oxford Dictionary defines 'leave' as meaning: "Depart from permanently"... So, no confusion.
2
"Ahhh Shut up!" (inspired by Foghorn Leghorn)
2
They just want to keep the bit about being born better than ordinary people to make money from.
2
@ejbh3160 I think FPTP was designed for a political system in which whoever got the most votes was a wealthy landowner.
