@vercoda9997 A lot of people in Northern Ireland would have followed advice of UK Government to vote Remain. Things have changed.

Standing in a suit and glasses paid for by another man - what a simp...

If only we had known feta halloumi gorgonzola and bratwurst was going to be a bit more expensive - we would never have voted for sovereignty!
3
I seem to remember Hillary predicting she would be president - lol!

When the 'modern' woman meets a Christian woman - the 'modern' woman thinks the Christian woman is thinking the 'modern' woman is not a good wife. The Bible says a wife should be like a crown on her husband's head - not like rot in her husband's bones.

The collective talent is non-existent.

Nonsense. All that is required is for the shellfish to be processed (depurated) and the EU will accept imports. It's just a matter of a little investment and some more UK jobs which I'm sure the UK government will provide, oh, and some compensation for the fisherman too.

@tycobb8843 I do regular - I live near where these oysters are caught - they're really tasty.
3
@Peekle There is nothing in the GFA about Brexit and nothing about trade. It agrees an end to UK security checkpoints on the border and Brexit can be achieved without any stops on the border.
3
He said: 'Remember all the assets Thatcher took from the people - the Labour Party should give them back to the people.'
3
He actually said: 'Many people there [NI] - nearly a majority are saying there cannot be an executive without looking at the protocol again'. That appears to be a fair assessment and even includes those that accept the protocol, but recognise others will not.

Sky needs to be called out on its bias - they keep claiming a 'hundred thousand' marched for a second referendum when anyone who could buy a bag of pick and mix sweets could work out there was less than ten thousand. Arron Banks should offer ten university maths students a thousand pound prize to the one who (based on the same aerial images) gets closest to the average estimate. This would show Sky, BBC, ITV and remain side to be liars and propagandists.
3
@thepodbaydoorshal In time it will move toward a harder internal border for goods similar to any UK/EU border, but with people being able to move freely and act according to individual rights. It will rely on documents and random off-border checks. People are not really an issue, because the island is surrounded by hard border and there has always been a bit of smuggling between North and South.

@mybigbeak In the last 3 recorded years there were 15770 home repossessions - in the last 3 years of the last Labour government there were 127400 home repossessions...

Shares in cough sweets, event security and glue are down.
3
The only reason they have a problem choosing a leader is the MPs are divided on what the party stands for. The MPs are looking for someone like Starmer who wants to join the EU, but will be believed when they say: 'I don't want to join the EU.'

Anyone that disagrees with me is an anti-Lazzite.
3
Anyone seen this wimp trying to hit a punch bag? He's the big man when it comes to other people's lives.
3
Why can't he and Blair pronounce Brexit? The answer is they can, but they say 'bregset' because they think they're bigger than democracy.
3
People are seeing they are the same governing organisation - playing the people.

Michael Clarke says this: "Western politicians from the very beginning have said this is a red line for us, we cannot allow Ukraine to be taken over in an act of naked aggression just because the Putin elite think Ukraine ought to be part of Russia again." Russia's way of looking at this is: Western politicians wanted to control Ukraine which caused civil war in Ukraine, Russia mounted a peaceful invasion to stop civil war against ethnic Russian people and then organised independence referendums. The referendums showed the people in the disputed regions wanted independence from Ukraine and to join Russian Federation. Western politicians supplied deadly shoulder launched missiles to Ukraine Army to kill thousands of Russian troops.

She is the epitome of the useless lickspittle puppet sort that have gotten us into this mess - we never asked to be in a 'united states of Europe'.

@iedco4 To UK! UK shops are full of basa and Alaskan pollack not caught in UK waters - we need more fish!

And what were your predictions for the Brexit referendum, the 2017 GE and the 2019 GE?
3
This is what Lord Paddy Ashdown said on a second referendum whilst the votes were being counted: “Here’s the single point: Those that asked for this and I was the first leader ever to ask for a referendum way back in 89/90, have said so because they believe it to be an act of democracy. I will forgive no one who does not accept the sovereign voice of the British people once it has spoken. Whether it’s by 1% or 20%, once they’ve taken it, it is our duty, as those who serve the public to make the best use and to make sure that our country does the best it can with the decision the people have given us. I’ve heard Mr Farage say tonight: ‘We’re coming back even if we lose’. Excuse me! He’s the person that complained about lack of democracy in Europe! If he will not accept the sovereign voice of the British people, whatever they say, then I think he does not have the national interest at heart.” (Lord Paddy Ashdown 24 June 2016)
3
What 'position' is that?
3
What Jess Phillips doesn't get is the referendum was a vote of no confidence in people like her. The nation has had enough of worse than useless MPs running the country down.
3
With committed Remainers shifting to Glib Dems and committed Leavers shifting to Brexit Party and Tories Labour will be lucky to get ten MPs.
3
Nonsense. All that is required is for the shellfish to be processed (depurated) and the EU will accept imports. It's just a matter of a little investment and some more UK jobs which I'm sure the UK government will provide, oh, and some compensation for the fisherman too.
3
@vehx9316 In 2018 the UK imported 32.4 thousand tons of shellfish from the EU..
3
@taylorenglandmbe That's a usual way for a commoner to address a lord.
3
Are they going to overturn the Brexit vote before or after they oppose university fees?

Harman purported the government was satisfied she would be impartial. It's not 'the government' that need be satisfied on the perception of impartiality in a trial with obvious political implications - it's the accused and the average person in the street. This was not merely a 'perception' of impartiality, this was a series of public statements that, showed Harman to be unequivocally partial. The head judge on this committee stated on several occasions she believed Boris was guilty, before she heard any of the hearing evidence. There's no escaping the absolute reality that, this situation constitutes 'judicial prejudice' and is the very definition of a 'kangaroo court'.
3
I wonder what the protest would look like if the government decided to ignore the referendum and not action Article 50.
2
Peter Tutykhin The only people damaging the Labour Party are those that claim to support the Labour Party and then publicly denigrate its elected leader.
2
What a stupid line from the 'news' reader...The MPs could only choose one candidate - it doesn’t necessarily follow that they are opposed to the other candidates.
2
Old 'poppadom' John
2
Big 'wake up and smell the coffee' moment coming for Blairite MPs - the working class don't want EU mass immigration.
2
Anyone with any doubts about media bias against UKIP should consider that a Tory councillor in Cornwall has just been rumbled for awarding himself the MBE. But Sky, ITN and the BBC have not even mentioned it.
2
Really! This video already has 4000 views - videos posted yesterday of Theresa May becoming prime minister have less than a 1000 views.
2
***** This has been on the BBC too. Just pointing out that the evidence is Corbyn attracts interest. It seems the more the establishment knocks someone, the more support they get. This happened after the 2010 general election when BBC feared UKIP would hand Labour power in 2015 - they went full-on anti-Farage and the result was he just got even more popular.
2
West Brit Yes, well done they're going to Germany which is in the EU and EU citizens have a right to come to the UK. And this referendum is about whether the UK wants to be in the EU...It's not that difficult - try to keep up! ;o)
2
West Brit No - I dismissed it.
2
Tracy Beckett Purchase Tax was only levied on luxury goods. So your analogy is erroneous.
2
Tracy Beckett I don't need to read your link - the difference is this. Prior to VAT being introduced in 1973, there was no tax paid on basic goods at the point of purchase. The Purchase Tax was only payable on goods deemed to be luxury and was not added at the point of purchase.
2
The current annual UK contribution to the EU is 13 billion of which the UK receives 4.5 billion back, So Nicola wants to ask the Scottish people to leave a UK that will be much better off - to join an EU that will be much worse off.
2
m0ments-have-you I think it was a fair observation. The jibes directed a Corbyn were not relevant or even accurate. Just obviously pre rehearsed and intended for headline news coverage - knowing the on-side media will oblige.
2
Definitely see her winning after general election and being the next leader of opposition.
2
@MrSparklespring In 2016, the cost of living in the UK was higher than in Belgium. In 2023, the cost of living in Belgium is higher than in the UK. This independent analyses based on actual wages/costs data shows since voting to leave the EU, the UK is now an easier place to eke out a living than Belgium, France, Germany, Southern Ireland, Netherlands, Austria, Finland...
