Exactly ... billionaires know a specific thing about their field, the markets and how to make money, but they don't really know economics, or politics, and they do not care about people or the economy recently. If they did they would never endorse the huge deficits that the Republicans always dump on the country and the economy to blow up the debt. This is about selling out the country for the profits of a small elite. That is why I am a Democratic Socialist, like Bernie, people have to come first.

  14. If we do not educate out own people we better just export them over to China or India where they can get jobs because they will get nothing here in the US. Seriously, when the world got complicated enough we had a school system and people had to get a high-school education.  Now people need more than that, and our economy needs investment so we can quit sending jobs and salaries overseas. We have to quit the dumbing down of Americans and stop letting it that the only people who get education and connections to the job force be the very rich.  It doesn't make sense to keep dumping on the American people.  Also, when there is a little competition from the government in higher education the costs of private school will come down too.

  18. Bernie 2020 !!! Common Sense Gun Safety I agree with Bernie, but I am a bit skeptical though of the use of the term "assault weapon". Usually that just means an automatic weapon. What is the difference between and assault weapon and a hunting rifle is often just how it looks, not what it does ... unless it is a machine gun.

  36. Why wouldn't an overwhelming majority of Americans come out of the closet and admit they think this country needs big change in the directions Sanders indicates, is my question? The only thing I can think is that most Americans are so beaten down that they are scared if they vote for a meaningful change they think they will end up worse off rather than better off.  Because I think they know if they vote against the rich and corporate class they can make us feel pain just like any of the countries we attack with no regard for their people either. This country has backed itself and its people into the situation of dumping debt that had no benefit to the people right on the backs of the people.  The question is how to do this and remove control from Wall St., the rich class, the professionals and lobbyists.  One problem is that the legislation that Sanders talks about has always had some kind of poison pill in it so it does not pass. Our government is expert and looking like they are doing something when they never do.

I think a case needs to be made that News and Journalism must act in the public interest, or they need to lose their license. Let FOX be marginalized to You-Tube and have to be regulated by a private Terms of Service agreement ... news and editorials must be fair and allow everyone to speak, and not report selectively.

  48. I agree with Bernie and will support his candidacy and vote for him whenever I can ... but there is something wrong with Islam. I don't condemn all Islamic people or all people who have to live under that system or government as well as religion. But look at the two countries that lead the Islamic world, Saudi Arabia and Iran, and both hate gays, they hate non-Muslims and they force everyone in the country be just like them. These two country Saudi Arabia for Sunni and Iran for Shiite set the tone and export tons of money and arms around the world to support terrorism and Jihad. Most of what happens in Israel is funded by Iran, and Saudi Arabia funds Wahabi radicalism all over the world. It is a problem. Democrats and independents want to be fair and open-minded, but they should not allow Donald Trump to set the agenda for this discussion or back Democrats into a corner as to what they want to say and what they don't. Trump's speech yesterday sounded like an elementary schooler, and there are far too many Americans who respond to elementary school rhetoric, but I think that many of us are concerned about immigration and about numbers that are too high and people that can be dangerous. I don't think it should be wrong to have a discussion about this and I don't think people who want to have reasonable manageable immigration are racists or haters.
