  2. It's nice to see Bezos communicate - and actually think about what he is saying. For years every time I used to see him pilloried in the media for being a billionaire I would cringe because not all billionaires are bad guys, and Amazon is an incredible company, I think the best in the world. If anyone is going to put these technogies to work in a positive way it will be Bezos.

  3. Totally good advice. I began to get A's in math ... I could hardly help myself, when I began to do the homework of EVERY PROBLEM IN THE BOOK ... TWICE It really helps if you have the answers or a tutor, but every problem in the book, twice. Three times if you have the time, a test, or an especially hard subject, like Differential Equations. Tutoring or teaching is a good way to retain the information and integrate it into your brain. Of course that was decades ago and I have forgotten a lot of it, but the ideas and concepts still live on. I should have been a math teacher!

  4. 2:00 - When he talks about Hydrogen having a high Isp. Isp = Specific Impulse. Specific impulse, measured in seconds, effectively means how many seconds a propellant, when paired with a given engine, can accelerate its own initial mass at 1 g. The longer it can accelerate its own mass, the more delta-V it delivers to the whole system.

  12. We the public can never know except from actual proven facts. This is why in politics the test used to be "the appearance of wrongdoing". Somehow we have forgotten about "the appearance of wrongdoing" ... and this has only benefitted the rich and powerful. I think it's fair to say that they rich and powerful have found many ways to push society and the law to the point where only a really horrible person can be held accountable or punished. Large prominent companies used to do background checks on people and not hire them if they had dubious things in their past. Used to be a DUI would get you thrown off the hire pile, and certainly something like this would - because for the public there is not way to tell what the truth is, so we used to err on the side of safety. Now half our government are criminal types who if their actions are questions they just flip the world off and hide behind the walls of their compounds. We have a sick toxic world. I think the only way to fix this is to make sure no one ever gets too rich or too powerful. Personally, I do not want to see Spacey back in the movies or anything again. I think he has proven that if he is not a criminal he has a low character and should not in any way be a role model or rewarded for that. The law and punishment or censure by the society needs to be in place to provide and incentive for people to control their base instincts.

  13. I thought Germany tried to go through Ukraine to get to Baku and the oil there and that allies stopped that. That might have changed the outcome if they were successful with that, but it was far away. I think that was in the "Why We Fight" TV series, which might have been more propaganda narrative, but I think that was true that they were fuel limited.

  16. 2:02 - I've studied his strategy and I think he is a first class strategist. Assessing Putin as an intelligent strategist is not siding with Russia. It's clear that that either he is a brilliant strategest, or that the US/NATO are terrible strategists, or that there is something else going on. I think the something else is probably the US working hard to scare the EU away from Russia and to capture the trade and alliance of the EU and lock Russia out. If Russia got into the EU they could build up huge cash reserves and leapfrog their economy and there are in a perfect position to develop like wildfire with a low population, vast land area and almost infinite resources in a planet of dwindling resources. What are we doing and why are we ( the West ) so bad at it?

The Godfather was a good movie, but it was a violent, murdering, depiction of organized crime, and to say it was a GREAT movie classic is really to say that the United States version of capitalism is organized crime. I give it, the only version I ever saw was the combined version on TV a rating no higher than "Rich Man, Poor Man" which was good as well, but not an American classic, or maybe a low-level one. 2001: A Space Odyssey was also a good movie, even a classic, but it is so dated and slow that once I saw it - and it was my favorite movie for many years when I saw it as a kid when it was originally released. I love it, but I just cannot sit through it again. It was the technologicaly maximum eye candy experience until maybe "The Matrix" or maybe Star Wars which was a joke. Anyway, great if she can see 2001 again and again, it;s just a bit boring.

We have millions of people in the world stuck in a 7th century BS ideology trying to re-emerge in the present day chaos to take over.

  24. A long time ago I heard a talk that I cannot now identify or remember much of, but the story was that Hitler commissioned 3 studies about invading Russia. The majority said it could be done, and there was one that predicted failure - but that study was lost or waylaid and never presented to Hitler. The thought being there was some interest group that wanted very much for Hitler to invade Russia, and that it could have been some Western, probably British intelligence group that NEEDED Germany to open a two front war.

  40. Beauty, safety, cleanliness ... OK, they are nice. But also lifestyle. Here in the US we are crazy about free speech, we can say what we want and maybe get censored or shadow banned or whatever on social media - but even if we do say something - our government does not listen. So what is the benefit if our government has been bought off by corporations and lets of bicker with each other, but never does anything to improve the lifes of Americans bu lies to us about how great we are. TC has a bit of a point here. The problem is that he doesn't know what to do or how to really analyze that point. He is downright stupid in terms of the big picture as to what causes it and how to fix it - standard BS Conservative fare.

  46. I remember when I first oened my account with Amazon 20+ years ago, and how fast they changed to improve their service and it was so impressive. I remember buying the first Kindle version and it just was not for me, and then the price went down, the power of the device when up, and features were constantly added. Eventually I got the Amazon Fire which was great. Same things with groceries, and then Amazon Prime. What a productive evolving company - the best company in the US, maybe the world.

  48. Why do you suppose that people who call RFKjr. a Conspiracy Theorist do so without looking carefully at his claims? Have you actually looked at what he says, and how so much of it is 30 years old or more and does not address new discoveries or changes in vaccine mixes? RFKjr just followed the people who bashed vaccines for having mercury in them, and then kept bashing when the mercury was removed. He criticizes the safety tests around the vaccine, and uses scare tactic LIES - like more people died from the Covid vaccine than died from the disease - which he cannot back up and is not true. I initially liked RFKjr, and his way of speaking, but as I analyzed what he said, it was not true, and while some of his criticisms of the government were valid - his answers were not, and he had no experience or understanding of many issues.

Politically correct, woke, all these terms are mostly devised and spread by the Right-wing to denigrate the idea of social justice, economic fairness, equality, etc. Say these terms with a snarl in your voice and you sound like a Right-winger ... but of course most of the things they point at are minor or exaggerations or just screw ups by people on the Left - whereas when people on the Right screw up we get stuff like Jan 6th.
