  1.  @rlkinnard  All one has to do is to look at who supports this Austrian economic BS and you see it is libertarians who want to remove the government and replace it with corporations and billionaires. They might have criticisms of democracy, but to destroy the country under false pretenses makes them a danger ... and Trump is their guy to do that.

  8. I agree with the right on the issue of big hulking men competing in women's sports, and I don't know anyone on either side who thinks that is a great idea or should be the norm. But that can be solved with a simple rule, and it is not earthshattering as the right seems to claim.

I love Lex is totally unaware of his biases ... when he talks about the Left censoring people and then ignores Trump and the Right who are purging the Republican party of anyone who doesn't 100% follow Trump. All Republicans are like this - because politically they seem unable to be objective or honest. Lex can do some really good interviews ... and then he does this kiss Right-wing ring thing because probably a lot of his viewers are right-wing - and sadly, Lex does not have the integrity of say Sam Harris who finally stood up against the Right-wing loons. Lex is down the Right-wing rat hole, and I don't think it is because he believe the BS. So, that in my opinion tends to reduce his integrity and credibility.

  13. So strange that as much as I agree with and respect Mearsheimer on Ukraine, I don't think he has Israel right. First, I think a 2 state solution is impossible and absurd because of the massive external support and propping up of the Palestinian terror state. When we get a close up look at Palestinian "culture", there is no culture there, it is an artificially created proxy army by the more radical factions of the Arab and Islamic states. The Palestinians do not deserve a state because they are not a real people, they are a herded together group of refugees who have been ruled over by different descendents of the Muslim Brotherhood. Israel will not accept Palestine as a state because they cannot be trusted - and they still basically insist that that state of Israel cannot exist at all.

Meaning that Americans support our military and adventures because like we believe war boosts the economy, and Muslims have this sick visions of dominating and enslaving the world - the most vicious vision of empire, and the most active of supporters all over the world. Americans buy into this fantasy we are told to believe in through the news propaganda, but also our Hollywood depictiions of Russia and Putin. That of course means that the people, the citizens of all the empires in the world are to something extent in with and complicit with the actions of their groups/governments. It is not something most people anywhere talk about openly, but I think when you are programmed from an early age into there empire fairy tales and warring on other people - something that mostly makes up all of human history, people are in a sense evolved to be cogs in their imperial wheel.

  26. 8:41 - When you look at certain institutions, has the institution suffered such capture that there is no hope to fix it. Maybe talk about the Republican party Ben. With all the hyperbolic rhetoric, there is a process that the Right, whatever and whoever the Right is, that they pick on something and find some individual case that is obviously a problem and they rip it, and then say the whole institution is like that. Then they echo chamber picks it up and they formulaicly build on that, and even conflate it with other issues through their name calling ( a thing that Trump picked up with the slogans and name-calling ) and work it into a kind of brainwashing, and anyone who questions that or disagrees is face with having to attack a whole mountain of what is basically artificially made up and constructed BS - in the midst of a media space that is full or noise and chaos. They do this to bring about the preferential discrediting and tearing down of institutions that represent certain points of view, and then they use that to discredit and attack anyone who they can associate with those institutions for life. So, Fox News for example does this to enforce their view of the world, while it is not really true that the legacy media does this, at least not to the same extent, but in the tools Fox and the Right uses the falsely equate the two branches of media. Then to make matter worse the channels on the Left are always of the extreme Left, like Democracy Now!, and all regular media trying to do a job or reporting news get branded as Leftists and equated. The dyfucntion in my opinion is pushed by the Right for a reason. That reason might even be justifiable ( if it could only be objectively debated ) - but they don't go to any route to justify it is war at all costs, and the end result is to destroy the whole system - exactly as how the RIght wants to destroy the government ( they call the administative, or deep state ). This makes the Right toxicly dangerous because it inevitably allows holes where people like Trump can weasel his way into the government and make a mockery of everyone under the rubrick that as Ben says - oh it is so bad the sky is falling and nothing can be saved. It's always very rich people who say this because they don't seem to care or active sometimes want to destroy American society, with no path to recreating it. That is totally against the Constitition or all the Western value they say they believe in so fiercely. This is how "communism" took over. Instead of a ordered civilized process of defect detective and improvement you get miltary or gangs taking over. Folks we have a pretty good thing in our American government and system, that some people want to dominate and that system gets in their way - they are the ones who want to destroy it. It happens by substituting vague generalities and emotion for orderly government and Constitjtional goals - in order to form a more perfect UNION!

Putin would be a fool to end his SMO before he can be assured of a secure defensive position for next time, because as sure enough as the Palestinians are going to attack Israel again in the future, the US will figure some move against Russia. maybe that is too big a project, but I think Ukraine is a dangerous weapon aimed at Russia.

  29. It's weird to hear Lex talking about the fighting spirit of Ukrainians and I am not so sure. I've seen some historic videos ( maybe BS propaganda ) but the thesis was that the Ukrainians were vicious, and they hated the Jews and that this was noticed by Germany and Ukrainians were used for ethnic cleansing and manning the extermination camps because a lot of Germans could not stomach it. I believe that Lex is of Russian Jewish descent from Tajikistan? ( he is the exact spitting image of my dad at this age whose forebearers also originated in the same area ) so I wonder why he identifies so with Ukrainians?

  32. Very interesting. These two guys if possible should be working together. If I had to make some kind of comment on this, I'd say that Elon is not super-technical, but he is more technical than Jeff, whereas Jeff is a better systems, leader, customer guy. It would be great if they could fill in each other's weak spots. This is America really fullfilling and evolving capitalism and moving the country forward. I feel like most of the US is not patriotic, it is selfish and corrupt, and these two, or more companies show how to game the government, and us.

  36. Someone needs to do the job of curating the speeched of Putin and refuting the propaganda the US has fed the West about him. The biggest and most obvious like was that Putin invaded Ukraine as a prelude to taking over Ukraine and re-establishing the USSR. I get that we cannot gamble on something this huge, but whatever the reality the West has blown it bigtime by making it necessary for Russia to stop Ukraine taking back Crimea and Russia's only warm water access to the Atlantic. Surely we knew it was something Russia would fight to the death over, and we have ruined Ukraine, hurt Russia and our chances of being allies with Russia. Perhaps there is another deeper level to the gambling with world stability chess game, but I sure don't see and Mearsheimer is not talking about it if there is.

I don't think Putin saw the US as a malign hegemon, maybe ever to this day, I think he has a vision similar to JM's that he knows the great powers will try to do whatever they can get away with. It's very probable that if the US could topple Putin and put in a friendly government that the Russia people would benefit materially better than being isolated Russia, but Putin doesn't want Russia to lose its soul ... or for himself to lose his job! ;-) When I see Putin giving speeches or interviews, he seems very retrospect and clear and thoughtful in everything he says. It could me most of this just comes from the US's inability to say PLEASE. But there is a reason for that when the US has made huge investments in other countries, who them want to steal that and allow some dictator to try to create their own fiefdom under the guise of helping their people. ??? JM's & LF's interviews are always so great. Keep'em coming!

Lex - but Trump is the extenuation of that corrupt elite, the elite which has the money, power and influence to buy scientists to study how to manipulate the masses, and then apply it to the media which is owned by that elite, in order to fundamentally change the nature of society to where only some people get to exist as human beings, as long as they are OK with dehumanizing and enslaving the 90-99%. Trump and all the big Conservative idols have all been actors and performers of a sort, and I'd wager if we had access we would find that they were trained, tutored and given high status, like Reagan and Trump to sell out the country. Maybe it's possible that they did not even get what was going on because they were so involved with their own egos.

Germany wanted to have an empire like all the other "big boys" for raw materials, and they looked around and the whole world was already divvied up. I never though or Poland of CZ as wanting or working to build and empire. Is there any evidence that PO or CZ has designs on attacking Germany?

Except on AI where he thinks he can suck money out of the government for him by getting the government to put him in some kind of regulatory or management position over AI tech such that he wins by being able to see proprietary code of others to add to his ideas of AI.
