According to your claim here, if everyone would take the vaccine in a 2 week window this thing would be gone ... so why don't we start there? I have to say, in my gut when I see this Destiny guy, I could see keeping one's anonymity on Social Media because of the lunatics out there, but it's like he is taking on the mantle of a Rock Star celebrity, and it colors how I see him and hear him because he sounds like a youngster putting on airs and branding himself as a celebrity with fast talking BS - BS that a lot of Lefties are in agreement with. While he has the comparison between the Left and the Right in terms of right and wrong and dirty tricks, etc, and seems to think he is so clever to point that out, he totally misses the same dynamic between Palestinians and Arabs/Muslims that Sam described - i.e. if Israel laid down their weapons there would be no Israel, if Palestinians laid down their weapons there would be peace. I think Steve can see this, but I think he is manipulating what he says so as not to put off his lunatic Leftie followers. I've had this confusion about the Left, which I consider myself of the Left, but have been confused since the 1980s about how did the Left absorb this attachment to the Palestinians - and it is so obvious that it is artificial and manipulation. For example - on Left podcasts, maybe I should say, Extreme Left, you hear nothing but positivity for Paletinians, Palestine, Muslims, etc - not one hint of even criticism, while at the same time you hear nothing but antipathy and criticism and negativity towards Israel. What is a fair-minded moderate Leftie to do anyway? I hate that dynamic and I wish the Left would disavow this attachment to terrorism, or hate or all things American as well, as I do wish the Democrats would dump Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and ever AOC, who I don't get at all why she is so anti-semitic? What do you think?

  5. I was surprised that Sam went into talking about the differences in intelligence between different ethnic groups. I mean, for the purposes of AI, we cannot even define intelligence, and there are a lot of variables, maybe more than we even know or can take account of. But Sam is right that is not something that should be off-limits to discuss, but when you discuss with Elon Musk's opinion on what a discussion is - that doesn't work, and they do that purposefully to jam up the national conversation so nothing intelligent can be modeled. I may not agree with Sam on everything, but I appreciate that he models a measured, calm, objective and civil way to discuss things - at least about 99.9% of the time. MAGA never tries to model civility - they are out to destroy it.

  11. 2:00 - Sam has a good point about there being a double-standard in American media, particularly in the Right-wing media where if you say that Trump doesn't mean the things he says, or will never do those things, then you cannot hold Kamala Harris to a higher standard when you claim her ideas are unrealistic. I think the reason is that for many decades the media, supposedly the Liberal media, gave heavy weight to the Republicans on issues of the economy and taxes - even long past the point where it was proven that for example tax breaks do not create growth or jobs - they are just giveaways to a political class who recycle it into the Republican party to the point where they can take over the government. Reaganomics too, and trickle down. It has also been shown that the economy grows when they poor and middle class have more money and can buy more stuff - it creates demand which them creates growth to meet that demand. But many people .... mostly older people hold on to that respect of the Republicans even when they have been shown to be totally working in bad faith and warring on America and our government.

I don't understand the criticism of Sam - it always shows up and purports to have a reason, but the reasons are BS or so minor as to not be worth talking about - the kind that if you don't like it, stop listening. I have not yet finished this yet, I am at the part where Emanuel is relieved to be moving on to the Middle East - very funny. But seems like they both pick on Benjamin Netanyahu like a red-headed step-child - he is a target that given what people know about him is an easy target. That is such BS. Look at what was moving in on Israel from North, South, Iran & space. That even demands pre-emption. They say Israel has the right to defend itself, but the whole world is at stake in that, and only because of one side - the crazy Islamic hatefilled terrorist jihadis who somehow have this right due to there being a lot of crazed lunatics that this somehow means the world has to respect them - rather than fear them and manage/handle that fear. It is the same kind of lazy thinking that always leads to massive failure of humanity. Moral hygiene for the entire planet demands that Israel be defended - which is far far far far far more clear that Ukraine because the entire Cold War history of the US with Ukraine. Ukraine there are quibble upon quibbles about history and differing threads of history, but the reality of Arab-Israeli dispute is the intention to destroy Israel and genocide Jews. That is not an attitude from anyone about anyone that can or should be accepted by the world. That splits the world into civilized and barbarian parts, and the civilized parts have to adhere to the rules of civilization. Netanyahu is pushing it masterfully but he is walking the line of a civilized power - and because he is doing so well - all the barbarian and naive countries try to blame him and nothing has stuck - but this endless name-calling. Netanyahu is a jew among Jews. He should get a lot more respect, as should Israel. As should the United States if we can right ourselves.

Of course it work, it collects revenue. You could just as well conclude that the morbidly rich combined political efforts like they do in the US to buy off politicians like Trump to lower their taxes and even get rid of a tax - like Bush did with the estate tax. The problem is that citizens in the West don't understand that if you get rid of a tax on the rich, the revenue must be made up by everyone else. Sorry, but don't you feel stupid or humiliated?

The problem is that I don't think very many Americans realize the hold the high-value earners have on our cities, states, and federal government, as well as the corruption that the Presidency of Donald Trump brough to the public consciousness. As I mentioned earlier the "wealth tax" does not need to be on all wealth. I disagree that a wealth tax should apply to investments that have not realized a capital gain, but there are problems to that where the wealthy change the laws to make all their income unrealized capital gains, and then borrow on that the interest of which is then deductable. The estate tax is one good way to get revenue when someone dies and their estate should be taxed, but thanks to W. Bush that tax was cut. Real estate taxes are a form of a wealth tax, but again that system is gamed by the rich. Ultimately the problem in America is the super-rich - but when you think about it, the problem is global because if America is the strongest best country in the world, our rich people might leave, and already do play games internationally by moving profit centers overseas. This is a global problem because those massive billionaires who could never spend their money have inordinate political power - and corruption. The entire world really needs to handle this at once of the plutocrats will play their games. Should a plutocrat in America have less wealth than a plutocrat/dictator in another country, such as Russia, China, or even in a pathetic BS place like Palestine where their leaders take aid money meant for their people and run to Qatar? As and these plutocrats build their wealth to grow they need to screw over and enslave or get rid of the regular people - they want everything. The people who defend this are sick, of they are trolls, or paid agents.

  19. Ever since I was a kid and heard people talking about free will, I KNEW that scientifically, intuiitively, there could be no such thing as free will in the clockwork of the Universe. Subjectively we have free will, but objectively we are animated by physics to do what we do, objectively we do not have free will. That seems so obvious. This is exactly why I say that human beings are not intelligent ... our intelligence is in our society, but selfish, greedy people stifle the connection and influence of all the parts of society so that on a global level we are unintelligent and even self-destruction ... hence the world situation today. Further, I think that our human understanding of the emergent properties of the Universe might be the reason societies have some kind of religion. Rest In Peace Daniel Kahneman.

We have a lot of very scary marginal people in our country, and we need a new patriotic morality or something that we can agree on and when people depart from that they need to be threat assessed.

How that is unknown any better than being vaccinated by a vaccine that a billion people have taken that basically are all healthy and doing fine - even if they did have a bump along the way. The way these vaccines work is pretty clear, and how mRNA works. Vaccine side effects fade as time goes by - they are very short-term. No one really knows about Ivermectin? Here are many people who are hired to be spokespeople of our country, and one after the other when they show their cards are below average dopes hired to play a reality game show with the American people, and we can see they believe it. As a people we Americans have to learn how to think, and how to unlearn all the garbage that these dupes have filled our heads with.

  46. This was one of the most torturous conversations I've ever listened to. Rory is absolutely devoted to as Steve Bannon would say, flooding the zone with doodoo. He makes very sure to criticize and condemn Hamas for Oct. 7th, and yet on every other comment he makes he undercuts the comments he makes in order not be judged as a homicidal terrorist maniac. I think there is something just broken in a certain way in certain people who have this attachment or attraction to Islam who cannot look plainly at what its books say, and the overwhelming message that Islamic scholars pass out. These people will argue back and forth forever with a gleam in their eye because they know in Western society we are so slow and lenient to see an existential threat, or to take action against it. He knows in the back of his mind the Muslims are breeding and carrying out behaviors designed to stress, and use Western culture against itself. Rory is so incredibly unclear is exactly what he is saying, because he cannot really say or he condemns himself and his religion.

I have no idea about that, or what constitutes a smear, and whose smear actually matters, BUT, I think it was about that time that you got associated with the Far-Right, the folks in that supposed Intellectual Dark Web. The point and consistency of that group and those videos, at least the ones that I saw, were all over the place. Mostly the good ones in my opinion were ones you participated in, and to me it seemed like after the smoke cleared, not that you are perfect, but you were the only one of that group that had an ounce of integrity. It seemed they were in some way associated with a Plutocrat-Trump-Billionaire-Toxic-Elite political group, which always devolved into justifications for the Far-Right government. So, of course you can be justifiably criticized for being associated with that group, and the smear aspect mostly pertains to you not being courageous enough to stand up to them, which you eventually did.
