  6. I agree this is a bad idea .... I think the reason some might go for it is that in many places the public schools are so bad. The Dept. of Education has not seemed to do a lot to fix the schools, so maybe if the DofE wants to save itself it should start to fix the public schools, or at least make it look like they have or are trying hard.

He is a decent manager of engineering talent, but go look at some of the videos on the engineering in the CyberTruck, it stinks, and it was years late, and the people who do like it like it more because they identify with a jerk like Elon more than they want value from their purchases.

The reason our political parties and media are arguing so much about whether the invastion was Ukraine's or Russia's fault is that we don't want to explore or report on America's part in starting this war. Biden had many press conferences where he said war was coming, but he did nothing to stop it, and Biden did not acknowledge or support any attempts at negotiation. Trump seemed all in on this plan since he was the first President to send weapons to Ukraine. The reality is that this was over Crimea which had belonged to Russia since the 1600's and was only shifted to Ukraine within the USSR by Kruschev in the 1950s. Russia made massive investments in Crimea, and their access to the sea and their military naval base was in Ukraine. A real mess that killed and disrupted the lives and economies all over the world, that as Sachs said should never have happened.

I'm a Democrat who would never vote Republican, especially today's Republican, but Joe Biden caused all of this mess by breaking his promise to be a one-term President and then continuing right almost to the end of the campaign season thinking he could pretend he was OK and last another years. This was not Biden's noble gesture, he could not continue. Then he had the nerve to talk about Trump's ego - which we all know about anyway and detest. But this was not about Trump's ego, it was 100% Biden's ego and bad judgement to hold the entire country hostage to force us to vote for him just to avoid Trump - because he knew Democrats would have to do it. Break the cycle, we got rid of Biden, now kick Trump to the curb and let's pick back up the Constitution and the American experiment.

Go back to when Biden was first entering politics and he lied his butt off for no real reason, claiming that he got a full scholarship to college when he did not, that he was at the head of his class when he was at the bottom, and that he had 3 degrees ... which is not only a lie, but such bad judgement to lie about something that can be so easily checked on - and that was like 40 years ago. We claim that Trump is so selfish and only thinks of himself - when look at what Biden is doing - he is blackmailing the country to elect him, even though he knows he is senile, because Trump is a terrible guy, which is true. Why does Trump being a terrible guy mean that we have to elect, or can only get as a choice a guy who is senile and who broke his promise to be a one-term President? And all these Democrats saying do not worry - but even if Biden wins, it is 50-50 if he can make it through the term, or really devote the energy to the job that is needed at this time in history. And if he leaves he picked the most disliked, first to bow out of the last election, candidate for VP - Kamala Harris? He is forcing her on us. This is really intolerable.

  17. The only thing that matters is what Putin says. All the analysis of Tucker Carlson's Putin interview has been all about Carlson. Why is that? One has to at least wonder if Putin's facts are essentially correct and no one wants to repeat them because it will expose people to facts and cause them to think. I've not seen a single piece about the analysis of what Putin said - and that is the only thing that matters. Vladimir Putin is 71 years old. Trump is 77 and Biden is 81. Putin talked coherently for 2 hours and 20 minutes to Tucker Carlson the other day. Could either of our American Presidents do that? It is embarrasing to see that. Putin is sharp. He knows his facts, and he presents them well.

The US used to the same trick to to poison Ukraine Presidential candiate Victor Yuchenko, who was given the pity vote, and then was so bad he was voted out of office in the next election. I don't know what happened in either case, but it is awfully suspicious given America's penchant for CIA operations.

  41. I am really so tired of news being redefined as saying the same things over and over again just pushing the words around in different order and having them come from different people. As soon as Trump won the Iowa primary the whole media fell right back to the same crap they did 8 years ago. No one mentioned the lowest voter turnout. No one did any effort to counter this win with interviews or estimates on how many people voted for Trump 8 years ago, but would never do so again. The media gave the day to Trump. Even these guys here.

  43. The numbers say things were not any better under Trump, in fact they were worse. Most of the statistics show that Trump did not know what he was doing and he made everyone unpleasant. To me, even if things had been a little bit better under Trump ( and I don't think there were ) I would vote for Harris just for the civility.
