  1. It is just amazing how all of the US's and Nato's efforts to sure up the dollar and western hegemony are creating rivals that are eroding the dollar and US hegemony. It seems like every single tactic are antethetical to Nato's goals.

  14. Bricks and the global south is expressing this frustration as well.... Bricks is in it's infacty compared to where the world was during Brenton Woods. The Brenton Woods kind of stuff which included the monetary policy as well as world bank and IMF was made by established collonal powers. They also were responsible for the EU, UN and Nato.

  17. If we were to discourage rent seaking and speculation it would deflate asset values but we could get on the right path soon... We SHOULD expand our advantage with industrial policy that includes debt reduction and the reduction of asset values... The US has long complained that China was giving it's self an unfair advantage with those policies...

  23. Russia is lucky... The sanctions took out the garbage for them and it serves as protectionist.... It is frigtening how fast the world is changing but even if, perhaps particularly if, it wasn't changing so fast, the sanctions would have worked for them.

It is arguable that militerism and impiralism is an outgrowth of the anchient non art known as neoliberalism that the 'Iron Maiden' and Ronnald Reagan described so effectivly..

  33. It isn't like they need to issue bonds but in this case it serves to keep the value of the chinese currency lower in value. Meaning they can sell things from their economy cheaper. Norton's explantion of Purchasing Power Parity is precious as well.... I seem to slowly be getting it.

  34. @user-mq1no3cq8u We are in between two huge bodies of watter, our currency is the reserve currecy of the world... If we followed Reagan's advice and 'let those who produce keep more of what they produce' instead of destroying our curency advantage we would be fine.

  43.  @atulmamtora  In GDP statistics it includes preditory ecnomic activity like an increse in private debt.... My point is activities that shrink the economy is included in GDP statistics... So as the economy is in a phase of quick shrinkage the GDP will show some growth.
