  1. Not Unions. The Labour Party was formed by Unions, it's their party, their voice in Parliament. It's in the Labour Party's charter that it represents "organized labour" though their MPs seem to have forgotten that in recent decades.

The only time I can recall it happening is when Barclay's did it to Brazil a few decades ago & the outcry globally against Barclay's was severe, many people & some companies closed their accounts with them & I'm sure I'm not the only one still boycotting them.

It's invested in assets, immobile assets – if you own Tottenham Court Road how do you pick it up & move it to the Caymans? And even if you manage it what value is it without the rest of London & its airports surrounding it?

Ok, Carter was before that but not as far before as you suggest.
