It's worked well. The religious trappings used are an evangelical Christian confection about Jews bringing on the Armageddon that started in the 1700s in England but it really is just a smokescreen. Evidence of this is that the first practicing Jew to become Prime Minister of Israel was Naftali Bennett in 2021, 101 years after the invasion started & 73 years after the State of Israel was invented.

  36. No, he only acknowledged that a wrong had been done. It has to be remembered that since 1649 Parliament has been sovereign so apologies must come from them not from the King. His apology would be as meaningful as yours or mine, no more & no less. None of us can apologize on behalf of Parliament. (edit for typo)

  39.  @hadror13  it is but this is about the refugee camp at Jenin. It was established in 1953 by UNWRA in territory then occupied by Jordan after a snowstorm destroyed the one resulting from the 1948 war. Israel didn't occupy it till the 1967 war.
