@dinada5314 so? We haven't & it's ours not theirs.
2
Frankly I'm surprised you're surprised the Mail prints utter tosh, it's widely known for exactly that.
2
We do have laws for that, it just needs someone to put up a couple of £million for each Court case. (It's reasonable to assume that's why Legal Aid was dropped).
1
if words won't suffice what actions are you expecting to see?
1
The Courts have already refused that avenue in the Ball v Johnson case.
1
@mossychops still no, sorry
1
@TomTuck-n3na broken nation with nuclear weapons serving ísrael...
1
@NameOfTheDragon you seem to have a fundamental disrespect for representative democracy, perhaps an oligarchy or dictatorship would suit you better? International law gives you liberty to seek asylum in any one of them.
1
because it's a good scare story that's not actually likely to hurt anyone for real. People have been crashing speedboats into the Montgomery for years & it's much less stable than fairly fresh ammonium nitrate.
1
BlockedAtheist-jq5ws she didn't knowingly join a death cult, as far as she knew she was joining a paradise for Muslims. She was gaslighted just as much as you have been.

Plus ça change
1
welcome to the world of dealing with broken children 😢
1
@grahamariss2111 the first problem is getting the Courts to proceed with a prosecution, Judges Supperstone & Rafferty threw out Ball v Johnson unheard. Once that hurdle is surmounted there are plenty of suitable laws around suitability of goods supplied, breach of contract, fraud & many others. Where suitable I favour Misconduct In Public Office as penalties are harsh.
1
I'm with you on retaining the House of Lords essentially untouched until the Commons becomes functional though restoring some of the powers Blair withdrew would be useful. In the same vein I would like to see the King exercise some of his rights, particularly his right to depose or appoint Ministers. I believe he also has the right to depose or appoint the entire governing Party to Government, I would dearly love the leaders of every Party elected to the Commons to be in the Cabinet.
1
@scottfarrell1906 it's you that's wrong.
1
I'll agree we have a Government defined by negativity, well except for the bank balances of the actors, they're definitely in the positive!
1
@BionicRasta yes the Jews have at least a moral right to return to their holy land (& Palestinians have never opposed this) but they don't have any right whatsoever to form a nation within somebody else's territory, indeed God Himself specifically prohibited it. Not that these are Jews in the main, they're Zionists, a secular cult hiding behind a mantle of Judaism, a very thin mantle, & they're opposed by Jews worldwide, including by Palestinian Jews.
1
@pamelagartner3759 it's still wrong. She's paid handsomely to do her day job & should respect her responsibilities.
1
IDF always says that. Sometimes they're not lying. They give a 15-minute warning that a building is about to be bombed. The old & infirm on upper floors know that isn't enough time to escape so they just wait.
1
Hamas is the democratically-elected government of Palestine, they don't hide any more than any other government.
1
@glendakirby5579 from the UK we can go to Strasbourg & the Hague. You're not signed up to that but you do have the right to bear arms, specifically to deal with situations like this.
1
at least 17 years of digging & re-digging?
1
there's a whole cabal of people behind each of them waiting for their purses to be filled
1
So does the internet & the internet has the advantage of being able to target audiences based on their psychology.
1
it's a quiet base, they're operating all over Europe
1
It came from Kaliningrad on the Baltic but it's been refused permission for a 2nd passage through the Danish Straits to go back.
1
Yes it could be repaired but the owner (& their insurer) would have to agree to it. The Beirut one had been having similar arguments for a couple of decades when it blew up.
1
Byline Times is available in print...
1
If it goes bang a bunch of wind turbines will fall over & if the wind is in the wrong direction Margate will get salty rain (possibly with fish in) for maybe as long as 5 minutes!
1
@qetoun no, @david is making a simple observation, no petulance is evident.
1
the "Putin's double" story is appearing in too many places to dismiss.
1
@janeteholmes one can also apportion blame to the selection processes of political parties.
1
@Geffo555 it's our choice, we vote for these people but rather than do our duty & look at who they are we're lazy & just vote for colours 😢
1
(That's "hear, hear", it's a direct equivalent of the current single-word comment "This!").
1
He's Jewísh

The 47 million electorate simply refuses to do the research required to cast an informed vote, instead they take the word of Murdoch, Rothermere & Lebedev. Election of the only functioning Chamber would destroy it & with it the entire governance of our country. No, HoLAC (House of Lords Appointments Committe) is perfectly adequate, what's required is removal of powers of the House of Commons to stuff members into the Lords.
1
How does Brexit alter that? In your opinion.
1
@Andrew-is7rs the "beer and curry" was a meal eaten while conducting lawful work, the "cake and wine" was at a party which was specifically illegal at the time. This has been widely & publicly discussed on several forums over years, legal opinions have been made public. Please keep up!
1
@rogerroger5255 Linux can be (though often isn't) & it's free & widely supported.
1
@NameOfTheDragon that's something expected of a journalist, it certainly doesn't qualify him for anything.
1
Farage did not arrive in the public sphere on his own merits, he was foisted on us by the media.
1
@Jamie-uk2zh what a good demonstration of the uninformed & ill-informed bigotry she thought she was escaping!
1
Look at the evidence before you make yourself look like a complete A-hole again. The evidence very clearly shows she was aiming for a paradise away from the bigotries & random death of this country, her shock when she discovered that she had been lied to & was in fact somewhere far worse than here, somewhere she would be supplied as a concubine to a random foreigner must have been overwhelming.
1
@geraldhewing2076 & @Steve Parker, you're both wrong, I recommend you look up the corporate structures of the Group. One thing that is abundantly clear & is written into the Articles of Scott Trust Limited is that they have no editorial control over the Guardian. The Wikipedia article is interesting reading & will give you leads toward further checks should you need them.
1
you can take that argument a year earlier with Sykes-Picot
1
He has authority to make them drink that tea in the cell beneath Big Ben. How long it would take them to get their hearing back I don't know.
1
This was a PRE-meeting Press conference, there was another scheduled for after the meeting but Zelenskyy was thrown out of the building on the pretext of what happened here.
1
5:30 the "small boats problem" goes away with the stroke of a pen – let asylum claimants onto the ferries. The backlog of claims goes away with another stroke of a pen – let consulates & embassies process asylum claims again (properly staffed & funded obviously).
1
The Ball v Johnson case proved beyond doubt that the proper channel, the Courts, cannot be used to hold parliamentarians to account, what's left is either appointment to the Lords or lynching. I don't like it either, neither should be allowed any contact with any form of power but what alternatives are there?
1
@paultaylor7082 "caught"?? He was showing it to the female MPs sitting near him!
