BIGxBOSSxx1 street fighter was never "aimed at kids", street fighter from the beginning was aimed at "young people" as in people in their teens to young adults, people in their 20's and early 30's. That who plays street fighter, street fighter has never been for little kids like you're trying to suggest. It was never aimed at little kids . Honestly young kids could care less about street fighter because its too hard for them, they dont have the attention span or dedication to learn the ins and outs of the game, or to sit in practice mode learning combos, ect. Kids play things that are immediately gratifying and offer instant thrills, ect. To be perfectly honest MK is much much more "kid friendly" In terms of how much easier and casual the game always has been and also because "ooooh, blood and gore, and boobs" which we all know draws younger kids in more, even tho technically its not for them.I can guarantee you more little kids play MK than SF. Street Fighter, especially nowadays is for the older crowd, its for people who want to be competitive and play a real fighting game, with deep mechanics. MK is a more easier casual alternative, don't deny the facts man. SF is aimed at the hard core fighter crowd while Mk is aimed at everyone else who isn't good enough or dont really want to compete at a high level and JUST wants to mash buttons and have fun. You can't tell me a game like Third Strike was made for little kids, lol.

Ka 7al man, I play more fighting games than probably anyone. I play street fighter, virtual fighter, tekken, DOA, KOF, soul calibur, samurai showdown, fatal fury, heck even a lot of older fighters that I guarantee most people have never heard of. So don't try to peg me with "bias fanboyism" because u are talking to the wrong person, trust me. I love fighters of all kind, but if we are being honest and truthful here mortal kombats gameplay has always been inferior to street fighter, everyone knows this,or SHOULD know this. Heck, the first 3 games were so lazy that everyone had the same universal normals.mortal kombat has never been on street fighters level gameplay wise, and that's just a fact. U can take it or leave it.

+Sai Blade Man just stop. That's 8 characters out of like 60 or 70 total, and those characters are actually not that alike. try to play sakura like ryu and get completely ripped to shreds, lol. Gouken plays nothing like ryu or ken apart from the fact that he has a fireball, same for dan. Know what your talking about before u make arguments man. Mortal kombat had characters sharing the same exact punches, sweeps, kicks, and uppercuts for about 5 games....with the only difference being their special moves.....now that's lame. Street fighter characters have always had their own unique stances, punches, kicks, throws, and whatever else. Musically its not even close street fighter has tons of great music and memorable soundtracks....mk has Maybe a hand full, other than that its dull "dark" music that's completely forgettable. honeslt the ONLY category MK wins in is story.

The music in Mk in no way shape or form even begins to compare to street fighter, street fighter tracks are iconic(especially sf2) and the alpha games and the 3 series tracks blow anything Mk has ever made out of the water. Most Mk tracks are drab, boring, dark, and completely forgettable. The gameplay is MUCH more refined in SF and just has a better "feel" to it in general.Everything flows. Mk has always had a clunky heft to it, and its not as smooth either, its stiff, and on top of that it SUPER casual friendly and doesnt take nearly as much skill as street fighter. And when was the last time you checked, because Ken looks and plays totally different from Ryu. And id much rather play with a badass demon martial artist like Akuma than a sledgehammer wielding S&M bondage wearing loser like shao kahn who looks like he belongs in a gay porn, lol. Lets not forget the fact that the first 3 or 4 MK games had characters sharing the SAME normals, yes, the same kicks, punches, sweeps, uppercuts, ect. The only difference were their special moves, thats beyond lame. Not to mention the "dial a combos" are atrocious, theres a reason SF is a staple of Evo while Mk is not even there half the time and doesnt nearly as many participants. Street fighter is for people who want to play a real fighting game and enjoy the deep fighting mechanics and the smooth rich gameplay. Mk is for people who like to simulate murdering people.

the only thing mortal kombat had ever had going for it until just recently was the violence, that does not make it a better game. yea it has a better story as well I guess, but come on, gameplay is where it really counts and in that department street fighter wins no question. Slow, awkward, and clunky vs fast, fluid, and smooth. theres a reason mortal kombat was never tournament worthy until recently and street fighter pretty much started fighting game tournamnets. Not to mention street fighter is popular the world over and mortal kombat is only really popular here in the US. I don't hate mortal kombat, not at all, I like it for what it is, but ill be damned if its a better game than street fighter.
