  1. Omission Thats your opinion man, just like i gave you mine. But yea does Fallout have Boxing kangaroos and raptors? Or Pandas? Those things are childish man, plain and simple. Im not saying tekken is a kids game or anything like that but what i am saying is that it has a lot of goofy, childish,sometimes stupid, stuff in it. Virtua Fighter is anything but boring if you know how to actually play the games right. The matches are exhilarating and amazing to play against someone who knows what they are doing. Tekken is a poke and juggle fest where you memorize 10 hit juggle combos and see who can land theirs first. Thats not fun to me.

  6. NJHS92 U must have never played any other 2d fighter besides MK then, because 99 percent of them do blocking the way street fighter does. And for a good reason. No other 2d fighter uses a block button besides MK, gee i wonder why? (sarcasm) Its clunky, kills the flow of the fight and just feel unnatural. Holding away from your opponent actually makes sense. I can tell by your comment tho that youre obviously not good at any other fighters except MK so i understand. But yea man, Mk has always had terrible controls,especially for the special moves.

The first one was a little "street fighter-ish" but the later ones definitely changed that, they are nothing close to street fighter. Many people (including myself) consider the second game to be one of the greatest fighting games of all time.

  13. +Orlanzo Also street fighters themes fit each character perfectly. They relate their country of origin, personality, and just give you a personal feel to each character. The moment you hear guiles theme you think, America, soldier, hero. You hear Zangeifs, you think, Big bearly Russian tough guy. Sf themes are personal.....unlike MKs which is related only to the stages themselves...theres nothing "personal" about MKs themes, nor do they give u excitement or make you relate to the characters. They are only stage themes, that's it.  Bland drab dark themes.

  14. What? Are you serious man? What "reptile theme" are you referring to? Because I don't know of any....no character in Mk has a theme of their own, which is another reason street fighter is better. Mk has "stage themes" not character themes, and none of them hold a candle to street fighters music. The only "reptile theme" I know of is from the live action movie,and that doesn't even count since its not in the games.

  15. +Sid Jones you guys were doing it all wrong,lol....I would just pick shadow and go shadow mode right at the beginning of the fight and hammer away at him,i would abuse that move every chance I got. But hey honestly its not even worth it, the endings are just a bunch of text. Loved that game as a kid, but also kind of hated it because of how hard it was....getting sent back TWO previous fights for losing? Damn.

MK11 in particular is TRASH. Such a boring game. 😂 SF6 is better than any MK game released in the past decade, free. 😂 😂 Your newest game is so bad that people have already stopped playing it and have moved to either SF6 or Tekken 8. A lot of MK fans have openly admitted the game is trash and that both of their competitors games are better. Ouch. 😂 😂 Again, explain to me how a game that isn’t even half a year old is already completely nosediving in popularity? How? Oh yea I know why, because it’s TRASH, pure garbage, like most MK games. This one is so bad tho that even the blood and gore and story mode can’t save it. 😂 😂

MK11 was seen as boring and tame, you’re trying to pretend it was some masterpiece that the community loved when that’s definitely not the case. NRS’s last two MK games have been trash, that’s just the honest reality of the situation. Saying MK11 is better than SF6 is laughable. And AGAIN, you have absolutely ZERO basis to claim that SF is a “kids game” when it’s never been marketed as such and is a deeper, more complex game than MK and always has been. There’s a reason why SF does so SO much better at competitive events like EVO, no one cares to watch MK because it’s not taken as seriously from a competitive standpoint. You know why? Because it’s a more casual series made to appeal to CASUALS, not the FGC, the way SF is. So your claim makes absolutely no sense at all.

I play everything under the sun: SF, KOF, VF, Tekken, Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury, Killer Instinct, Soul Calibur, Darkstalkers, etc etc. Even all the way to obscure stuff like Martial Masters, Ninja Masters, and Dan Ku Ga. I even USED to like MK when I was a kid. I KNOW what I’m talking about in regards to the genre trust me. I’ve played hundreds and hundreds of fighting games over the years. Trust me when I say MK is not better than SF, lol. It’s not. You can say whatever you want about “story” or lore, blood and gore, etc. When it comes to deep and competent gameplay SF is leagues above a shallow series like MK. MK is for casuals, SF is for the FGC.

  35. yea I know its definetly not popular in asia or mexico at least. Worldwide Tekken and Street Fighter seem to be the most popular, Mk may be sort of popular in some places but not on the level of those 2.

  41. joão soares and even just on the SNES alone street fighter has THREE of the highest selling games of all time on the system. While MK does have 2 they both rank much lower on the scale. The street fighter games sold millions of more copies.

  42. joão soares and to top it all off there are many street fighter games that are always in the conversation when it comes to greatest fighting games of all time SSF2, Street fighter alpha 2, street fighter alpha 3, street fighter 3 third strike, always get mentioned among fighting affectionados. Its a fact. No one ever really mentions any MK game as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

  46. Franklin Birchwood Nope wont be getting it if something like that does come out, but that still doesn't change the fact that street fighter is a much better franchise. Gameplay is what counts, not how many sequels a game has. Street Fighter has always changed it up. Alpha, 3, 2, EX, and 4 series all play totally different with totally different mechanics and systems. Mortal Kombat is honestly not as diverse gameplay wise, especially their earlier games. It all boiled down to who had better special moves since everyone had the same exact normal....lazy and lame man.

There are still no different character types or classes, everyone STILL has basically the same uppercut. I'm not the biased fanboy, you are man. And on top of that, yes the older games still count as part of the series, they don't just stop existing,smh. So when u claim Mk is better you are referring to the entire series. Those early games are just as much a part of the series as the newer ones. And I'm not biased toward any fighters I play tons of them, probably ones u never even heard of, but the truth is the truth, sorry if u can't see past it man.

KCAssassin98 you're missing what I'm saying man, by "types" and "classes" basically what I'm saying is that street fighter has characters that control and do moves with different methods of input, everyone in Mk is a quarter or half circle character, no diversity there.They all basically play the same as far as how u do moves and the like. And it also seems like EVERYONE has a random projectile of some sorts, there are a lot of street fighter characters that dont. And call of duty has nothing to do with this conversation, I'm saying that what has always drawn a lot of people to Mk was the blood and violence, which is true. That's what a lot of people have always liked it for. Its no where near as refined or just playable as street fighter.
