Putin desires no escalation, the main Russian objective has always been security in their borders that will only be possible with a neutral demilitarized Ukraine. But it cannot be ignored that making them angrier beionde what they already are is not something one can consider a good practice. No one, not even the Russians, want to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine but you can rest assured that this is precisely what will happen if that is the only way to achieve their security objectives. Russians are indeed very patient people... I would have have smoked the comedian and the rest of his circus to radioactive cinder already!
