How many stories you have heard of mass shootings where someone simply used his parents or his neighbours guns? If every single house contains a gun which is just laying in a closet, its really easy to get hands on one and start shooting everyone you see when you get into unstable mental state...

I'm not against people having option to own gun, I'm against people being able to buy one at grocery shops and people being able to buy guns in mass like they are preparing for a civil war. This is extremely obvious from US current state. People are not educated how to use gun, how to properly store it, they are not properly background checked and so on. More guns in circulation only leads towards more mass shootings. Simply go and check how many mass shootings happen because of shooter getting access to a gun which was in appropriately stored? I live in country where I can get gun if I want too, will have to go over few things, some training and all that jazz, but nothing stopping me to get one. But I'm not because I don't need too because I know that people around me are not owning gun which could be used against me. For you on another hand is becoming snowball effect where you want more guns in your house because you neighbor has more guns than you while your neighbor things exact same thing about you. By this rate soon you will have law which will allow toddlers to own handguns just in case they will need to defend against another toddler with a gun...

There is difference between allowing to own gun and actually requiring something from you to do that. Gun lovers want to be able to buy guns as easy as possible because, actual argument from people like you I have seen, "If people can use guns they will drive cars into crowds"... But lets put this aside, lets ask different question, more interesting one. At which point would you say that person should not own X thing? For example, can I own RPG? Can I own C4? Can I own tank? What about nuke? Yes, those are extreme examples, but I want to hear from a single gun lower where he would draw this line... Obviously you want to be able to own guns, so then, how far would you go with it? What would you require from people who wants to own guns? There is direct correlation between ease of gun buying with homicides relating guns. More strict laws lead to less crimes with guns, less death from guns, less illegal guns and so on... So are you for more strict gun laws? In US you basically getting quick background check before buying one... That's like... Insanely silly requirement... In normal countries it will be required for you to pass training in gun usage, you will be properly checked for mental stability, you will be required to have correct and safe way to store gun and in some instances you will have to redo exam every X years to keep your gun license. Och and in some cases you need to provide exact location of your gun, where you keep it, to police. What do you have in US? Nothing... You want gun? Cool, have some cash and you can get one in 5 minutes... Och forgot to add, you don't even need background checks when you buy guys from private sellers... So basically a toddler can buy one if he has cash and someone wanting to sell one, and it would be legal...

Ukraine has huge disadvantage against Russia, everyone thought that this war will end in few days, but Ukraine dint surrendered and now after some many weeks of fighting its still going on. In general if Ukraine holds back this attack then its a win for them, if not then this war can go on for months.

Because those country have actually working gun laws, not the ones which prevents you from owning gun, but the ones which properly vets you and educates you about guns before giving one to you, on top of not being able to buy a gun from random person on street legally... Yes... Legally... You can actually buy gun in America from another person without any background checks. Like seriously, majority of mass shootings in America are done by guns which got acquired legally...

Ukraine isint going anywhere, they are literally fighting for their own land and they are not stopping any time soon. While Russian attack on Crimea was quite different story, it was only Russia vs Ukraine, now its a different story with different leaders on top. Why do you think Russia said that this war will end in 3 days? Because they thought that it will same story as it was with Crimea, but it wasn't. Can't say I see any reason for Ukraine to stop pushing Russians out of their lands and I can honestly see Ukrainians pushing all the way to Crimea and taking it back. For countries still trading with Russia, well, you cant change fundamental supplies needed for your country over night, things like that can take years, but majority of civilized world is against Russia here, just check which countries are in support of this war... Try to notice similarities between those...

  38.  @adamwaterhouse  There is one big reason to not stop: Make an example for Russia. If they stop now Russia will know that they can take countries territories in one or another way. Morale on Russia side is terrible and it will only get worse with time, they are left alone against rest of the world, while Ukraine soldiers are being supported by it and they want to take back what belongs to them. This stalemate situation wont last for long as looses are on both sides and one side will have to change tactics, but its doesnt look too good for Russian side here. We will see how it will end in next month.
