Some science maybe being wrong is completely unrelated to the shape of earth or flat earthers failing on basic geometry. And to just education some people here, what NASA meant by saying this was that we lost actual physical thing which was used to go there, as it was not reusable and it was lost mainly in earths atmosphere. That doesn't mean that we cant go back there and we will be going back quite soon with new and better tech then before, so flat earthers can cry while watching 60fps 4k video from the moon, tho i can bet they will scream "Its CGI!   9. Scientific theory is current best explanation based on all evidence and contradicted by none of those. Science doesn't prove anything, it provides best explanations. While radio carbon dating could produce some different results, you still have multiple different dating methods to determine more accurate date, so i have no idea what your objection here actually is... Carbon dating alone will produce approximate age which will be more accurate then wild guess, so what are you objecting too here?

  10.  @a_mustache_of_great_repute  Differently then religion science will not make 100% certainty claims, this is why in general you will have label as "Theory of gravity" and not "fact of gravity", that doesn't change the fact that this theory represents reality in best possible way. And evolution is a fact and a theory at same time. Earth is a globe, factually. And as you like to go by definitions, then, definition for fact is: a thing that is known or proved to be true. Scientific theories in most cases have been proven to be true, yes, most, not all, doesn't mean that those which got proven are not factual while still being called a theory. And to make it even more clear, there is no possibility for evolution to be false because that one was proven to be a fact. So yea... No idea why you tried to lower science and what you tried to achieve here, but well, you failed. Care to explain why you tried to do that?

  15. What i have encountered from quite few comments that this belief mainly based on religions. Most people in here are from US or religious country which is heavily based on Bible. Then you have bible making claim that earth is flat, then you have blind believers thinking that this ancient book is correct, so it means that earth is flat even if basic observations shows otherwise. Another category would be people who will simply want it to be flat because its against mainstream thinking, not because they can prove it, but because its different. And last group would be trolls, pretending to believe something they don't just to get some attention. And those make like 20% (personal opinion) of people in here who say they believe in flat earth. You could add poor education system too into this, but its just additional thing on top of main ones. As i never encountered anyone who claims to be flat earther who actually understands basic geometry.

You do realize that you can have plane which has equal distance from a given point? Do you know what we call shape like that? Sphere.   48. Ron Papi The fact that you literally have thousands of flat earth videos trying to prove their none existing flat earth model shows that you are fundamentally wrong here. Youtube might delete comments which breaks youtube rules or they are getting false positive marked and being deleted, happens all the time, for both sides. And this is not because youtube gives a damn about some minority talking about flatardia, but because they have flawed comment filtering algorithm.

On flat earth model sun gets closer until noon and further away after that, so on flat earth model it should change size. 3. Sun moves in a straight line. On flat earth model sun circles around, which is not what we observe in reality. 4. Sunset/sunrise. On flat earth model sun always remains above surface which would prevent it from ever going under the horizon. Those are 4 basic things about sun which disproves flat earth. Not even talking about dozens of others things, with actual calculations and tests. But this is my go to due to its simplicity, but well, as flat earthers has 0 understand how geometry works, even this flies over their heads.
