There are incidents that due to weather, pilot will accidentally cross into Malaysia. Singapore apologize to Malaysia. No deliberate act unlike Malaysia vessels that stay for weeks deliberately.

Singapore food import is worldwide. Google and you will find out that Singapore rank number one in Global Food Security in 2019 to 2020. What it means?, it means that Singapore imported food all over the world, Malaysia is just a fraction of the import. Export of agriculture products to Singapore doesn't mean Malaysia is friendly or will not blockade Singapore. History had shown that exporting countries do invade importing country. Let's look at China, China not only export to North Vietnam in the 60s and 70s, China also help in North Vietnam war efforts in terms of war materials and even manpower! But, in 1979, China invaded Vietnam (note that North Vietnam reunify the whole Vietnam).....

Moreover, Singapore had no territorial claim in the South China Sea unlike Malaysia. Whether Malaysia is aligned or non aligned, defensive or non defensive is not important. History had repeatedly shown that Malaysia is not friendly towards Singapore. This is a fact that I had proven above. As Singapore retired diplomat Bihari Kausika had said, Malaysia had never given up on taming Singapore and Lee Kuan Yew warned us we do not have friendly neighbor. Singapore Armed Forces had to be strong to deter Malaysia repeated aggressions.

  37. Singapore doesn't need to have an aircraft carrier. Aircraft carrier is an offensive "weapon". We are not an aggressive country. Singapore potential enemy/enemies is Malaysia and Indonesia (Operation Total Wipeout)... Malaysia is not a huge country. Our fighters plane can easily dominate half of peninsula Malaysia (KL included) if hostility break up. By the way, analysts had predicted that Singapore Navy ships which now allow landing of helicopter will be upgraded to allow the impending arrival of F35B landing. It will be a mini "aircraft carrier" then.
