I find it disturbing that you are so interested in such a gas guzzler.

Americans love diesel. Especially trucks. They don't care about long term health consequences.

No doubt Google is doing a good thing here. But I'd hard pressed to invest in its stock - it's all over the place. jack of all trades master of none. It's been pouring money into AI, Waymo self driving, even biotech for decades, yet is only second or 3rd best in all these fields.

There are reports China has battery and Lithium glut. Now I see how desperate these battery companies are trying to push their inventory. I'm speculating battery prices will come down in not so distant future. I'll hold off buying any of these.

@R.-. if we don't reverse global warming the melting of ice will accelerate. It's only matter if time costal cities will be submerged

What's the catch? The device need to be replaced every 4 years?

Electric grill makes bland food. If you are outdoors, use charcoal grill or wood.

Nah the system is too expensive for backup power. Just get one or two deep cycle marine batteries for that purpose if you are doing time of use power shifting. Depending on where you are you may not be able to get back the money you spent on ecoflow system. Also lead acid batteries are actually more recyclable. If you don't plan on doing alot of charge cycles just very few instances of blackouts, deep cycle marine batteries are way more economical and environmentally friendly

Definitely a toy for the rich. You can get separate battery + inverters for less than half the price for the same capacity and output. Might not be as elegant, but it will get the job done.

@jett01000010 you don't need all that smart bells and whistles. Just batteries and inverter. Should be around $800. The regular price is 1799 without discount code

@persona250 That's what I did. I have 4x12V 100AH LFP batteries charged up to be used at peak rate hours . Only cost me $1500 CAD including inverter and chargers. It will pay for itself in 4-5 years, plus now I have a backup power during power outages.

@jeffericsson7780 at the current rate my pay back period for panels is 40 years. Unless the rates increase dramatically it makes no economic sense to install large panels on my roof. I have a small 300 w panels on the awning just for emergency backup not looking to get pay back at all. It only cost me $400 anyway and I could it up myself.

Consume and consume some more.

I hardly call it genius. It's not like Tesla invented the new magnet. And I'm sure once the new material becomes commercially available it can be used by other companies as well. Hardly genius of Tesla
