Not a chance in hell after 33 years.
1
Two guys, 8 hours, plus transportation and product? Less than 2 grand would surprise me.
1
No, Larry doesn't work for the guy anymore. Apparently he saw all the views Larry got and decided he wants to give YouTube a try. Which means they'll probably sit another 20 years.

@jasonsparshott7208 Enough rust to lock up a nut is much less than it is to damage a floor pan. However, I do agree with you. Still, he DID give a perfectly valid reason for why he didn't remove the seats. Also, he's a detailer, not a mechanic or a fabricator. As such, the sort of restoration required is outside Larry's skill set. Ie; not his job. Aside from the reason he gave, attempting to pull the seat could potentially cause damage, not something he'd be eager to risk at any time, but especially not right before a sale.

They're not his

@briansmeltzer6071 Between $250 and $5000 probably. Detailers generally don't give an estimate without seeing it, it could be a 4 hour detail or a 40 hour detail and those details are something you have to see in person.
1
Sadly they only did the two i think. Larry doesn't work for him anymore.
1
Cars that have been sitting this long can't be driven. Even if they'd start at all, it would risk destroying the motor or burning it down. Aside from being incredibly dangerous. These need dozens of hours of work first.
1
Hell no it doesn't run.
1
Sadly, no. The owner decided he wants to give youtube a try himself apparently.
1
@rztrzt I think you're on the wrong channel then.
1
@andreoliveira4796 I don’t know. Larry said the guy decided to start his own channel when he saw how many views Larry was getting.
1
He'd have to look at it in order to tell you.
1
@terryfonz4603 a 'car guy' would have at least stored them properly. He's a rich guy bragging about his rich guy stuff.
1
@emilycampbell6375 OP meant 'free' as in you're not taking money out of your pocket. Certainly it would be a lot more than the couple of cents he he might make from you watching a video.
1
@emilycampbell6375 Also, it's not so much gatekeeping, as pointing out that people should be more grateful. This is a masterclass in detailing, and idiots want to complain that he's not doing the exact same thing as the other 100 detailing channels on YouTube.
1
@otto16121970 what?
1
Classy move @Ammo NYC
1
I believe he meant 8 work hours each.
1
Are you an idiot? Steel wool would destroy it. Making a mistake with a razor is nearly impossible.
1
At least 2 grand, 5 would not surprise me.
1
Until it eats your car. Dumbest comment I've seen yet.
1
@joshuarosen6242 definitely
1
He has training videos
1
Not sure why he didn't use it here, search ammo nyc clay bar for training.
1
It probably didn't, at least not without hours of work.
1
Any update on this?
1
They sorta did that in the ATA videos. Kevin Brown polished a test panel with skin cream. Came out perfect.
1
A lot of his customers wouldn't like that. If i had to guess I'm betting 2 grand minimum
1
Such inspiration for painting my car
1
He's already working two full time jobs, and a lot of rich people don't want their cars on camera. ALSO he specifically said he's going to film more and longer episodes in his new studio. Y'all need to learn how to pay attention. You're like, the 30th person that asked a question he answered in the video.
1
Same reason tv shows are all the same. Plus, new designers understand aerodynamics better.

Ever breath in car polish?
