Europe spends twice as much on US weaponry as the US itself. Fact.
1
They didn't conduct a military invasion on the European continent.
1
Nor can we take a trans-atlantic alliance seriously, where one side of the Atlantic doesnt take the security of the other seriously, except our good friends the Canadians of course, unsung heroes for whom we have great respect.
1
@sebastianforbes1 A dictator? Ukraine's Parliament voted for martial law, and they have the power to decide when it ends.
1
@todd1770 Ivan fears the US changing its policy, which it will.

@jonathanjacob5453 I've seen the Adm. Kuznetzov struggling down the channel. Chill.

Having lived in Russia, allowing the Russians to think they've won by ceding territory, would be a fatal mistake. I cannot stress this strongly enough. This conflict is being driven by toxic masculinity, which must be dissuaded from violent acts. Every Russian I met in a position of power in society was like this, devoid of morals as we understand them, excited by the notion of spreading destruction westwards.
1
A lot of Farage's supporters like Hitler and Putin.
1
Veto right. At least, the conspiracy theorists can't seriously call them Brussels pupets/vassals.
1
Bad deal for Ukraine. They literally gained nothing.
1
He is very sobre. Britain's gain.
1
That's not politics.
1
Well said! If only our leaders could feel our fustration with their procrastination.
1
Strange how people who support antidemocratic legislation in the UK are so supportive of democracy abroad. I doubt they see their own double stdndards.
1
@CountDuckEgg not pointless for the 4 million Ukranians who are presently living under Russian occupation, and the 8-12 million displaced civilians. But who cares about them, huh.
1
@grundgesetzart.1463 8 million were Ukrainians.
1
@alexsilent5603 440 of the 1000 tanks defending Moscow in 1941 had been urgently sent by the Western powers yo shore up Moscows defenses. They were needed north Africa. And the 14th army in South East Asia got none, which proved fatal at singspore.
1
@alexsilent5603 yhd germans lost half as many troops. 6 million to 12 million.
1
It is very important. Russia needs China a lot.
1
American voters seem to like candidates like that.
1
@mitchyoung93 Yes, tribes move around. It was once Scythian.
1
@marisabenson1222 not generations, 800 years. They were established as a Haanate after the Mongol invasion of the region in the twelth century. The Horseriding tribes which had settled there from Asia 4,5000 years ago brought us our Indo-European languages. Their descendents were the Scythians, who synthesised with Greek civilisation to give us what we understand as western civilisation. Cherokenesos, near Sevastopol, was a Greek city. A Swedish coloniser, Valdomar, converted to Christianity there. This is modern Russia's historical claim to Crimea. They want this legacy to have a worlf-historical role, rather thsn being a collection of tribes which were sold as slaves unyol they were assimilated into a loose Viking state based around Kyiv, founded in 540ish.
1
@ChorltonBrook United Russia card holders are given preferential mortgages in Cromea now. One million ethnic Russians have been resettled in Crimea since 2014.
1
If the west want to give ukraine the weapons to win, ukraine will win. Putin and Shoigu will hope that the west will want peace before total victory is achieved. Time will tell..
1
Innanity.
1
Trump wants the nuclear plants to stop Ukraine developing a nuclear deterrent to stop Russia attacking it again. There is now a sign put up by the Russians outside the US embassy in Moscow. It reads "We are together."
1
No, it's declared itself independent.
1
But at least our journos aren't routinely murdered.
1
He loves his aqua disco.
1
We lost 3 0 in the camp nou, and won 4 0 at anfield. It aint over till its over.
1
Three years we had. The imbeciles were gambling on Trump not winning.
1
I take it uou have never lived in Britain, nor Russia, which has around 140 languages.
1
No. They are indoctrinated to believe it is as Russian as Moscow. They say russia is the descendent of the ancient Greeks, and crimea plays a big part in this myth. They also claim to be the third Rome. They have many myths to justify their thirst for other people's land.
1
Biden's so weak.
1
They do, all the weird ones thst nobody wants to live in.
1
Putin won't negotiate while he thinks he's winning.
1
@piotrd.4850 so quite a lot.
1
Jake Sullivan, the US version of Neville Chamberlain.
1
Like the abortion issue then.
1
@WayneTheSeine i truly don't care. It ceased to be an issue in the UK long before I was born. Fortunately, religion plays no role in our political life.
1
The Hungarian isn't a good man, he represents a fascist party.
1
@craighughes2191 i doubt they have a soul.
1
@ÆthelwulfOfNordHymbraLand2333 occupied countries don't have much of that. Countries which freely enter powerful national groupings do.
1
It's not bold, it's enlightened, and Russia doesn't do enlightened.
1
Biden and Scholz planned for Ukraine to lose slowly, even when they were on the cusp of victory in September 2022. Shameful.
1
And yet your spelling remains that of a 4 year old.
1
@williammorris584 and the millions who Want to live in freedom and not be tortured etc., do they count for something?
1
The German media is generally defeatist. Germans worry more about their pockets than the suffering and threat.
