They don't have an empire, Russia is an empire. And so he regards neither Ukraine nor Ukranians as having their own identity, and he calls their language a Russian dialect, and them "little Russians".

  29. ​ @rj41975 the Russian empire, the soviet union isn't his thing. It recognised Ukranian identity, and the republics were nominally sovereign, and the union referendum in 1991 would have committed that union to respect for individual human rights, it was on the ballot paper.
